I can’t imagine I can not see myself getting into an abusive relationship. Irma was trying to tell Vette not to get with that man, and now she see what happen. Lady Lissa great job!

She should listen to her co-worker Irma because Irma knows that Victor is a sick and unhealthy dog. Lady Lissa does a good job. I’m happy that she takes her time to writing this book. This book is a learning experience. We need to learn how to listen and think before we speak and do something that we’re regret for not suppose to do. I can’t wait to read part two of this book and Redd& Izzy. I believe that Nelson is right man for Yvette. Good Read: Sandra

WOW This Author never disappoint when it comes to penning a story. There is always a realistic underlying message. However I can't lie. Yvette made me want to go upside her head. Love doesn't consist of physical, verbal, or emotional abuse. Sadly all the signs were there for her to run for the hills when she started dealing with Victor. Clearly her own mother and sister saw what was going on but as always. Women tend to make up excuses in the name of love. Victor had some deep rooted issue's. I would have thought he wouldn't have allowed history to repeat itself when he realized what his own father did to his mother. Instead of becoming better. He allowed his father's ways to be instilled into himself by following in his father's footsteps. Which is sickening. I'm looking forward to part two. I hope Yvette would open her eyes and get out before it's too late.

Domestic Violence is real and unhealthy in all relationships. Yvette was a young, beautiful, educated, and confident lady. Yvette graduated from college and landed a job with a good law firm. The law firm was going to assist her to become a lawyer. Victor was a handsome divorced man with trust issues and a temper. Victor grew up seeing his dad beat his mother every day. Victor’s dad told him he had to keep a woman in check. Victor walks into the law firm and Yvette liked what she saw. Yvette’s c Domestic Violence is real and unhealthy in all relationships. During their relationship Yvette had doubts due to Victor smacking her, but she claimed to love him. Love do not hurt. Awesome book about domestic violence

Sad I don't know why I read these type of stories except that domestic violence is so prevalent and so real that I'm always looking for a happy ending or more knowledge to be dropped so that women can learn the signs and not get involved in the first place. In this book, I don't see Yvette as a woman that would be in this situation. It's like her heart wanted what her heart wanted. She saw the signs and ignored them. She even had access to his legal file so she could find out what he was about. Lady Lissa portrays a raw picture in this fast moving page turner. I'm hoping for a victory in part 2.

OMG YVETTE Really good book that I thoroughly enjoyed. I like the fact that the author decided to write a book on Domestic Violence a very prevalent issue many women are going through or have experienced in their life. Yvette came off as such a strong woman who is about her business and no one was going to put a damper on that but she meets Victor and she is blinded by his looks and charming ways that she overlooks the obvious signs that he has a dark side. My God Domestic violence is an epidemic that seems to get worse as time goes by. Too many women and men are being abused by so-called loved ones and are too afraid to admit it. I don't know how things turn out that way, but I pray that help is on the way for those in need. I applaud Lady Lissa for writing about this topic and bring it to the forefront of an urban fiction novel. Its different and it gives us something to think about. Life doesn't turn out as a happily ever after fir everyone. Grea My God Domestic violence is an epidemic that seems to get worse as time goes by. Wow I can never understand how men can just best in the ones they do call love. I know it a learn behavior but still, if you see your own mom go through that ,then why would you continue the abuse. DV is the most unreported abuse now days and hopefully more women will decide to stand up and report it. We need more people to educate us on this, cause it's not just women but men also.

OMG! Such a raw, uncut view into domestic violence. It occurs so frequently in our society, but is really not discussed or talked about. Most victims are so afraid of their abusers that they turn away from everyone and everything that they love. I’m really hoping that Yvette doesn’t become a statistic in book two and Victor ends up with his father or worse. Great job Lady Lissa. Patiently awaiting to read more. ❤️

Wow great emotional read and look into domestic violence and what really happens when a person is living in a DV situation even thou they see the signs and family and friends warn them unto they make up their own mind that they have had enough it does no good to talk to them about the situation. Good job Lady Lisa's and I can't wait to read book 2.

Loved it I can relate but I didn't stick around to get abused. I made sure I sliced him good. He got stitches and was dismissed from my life. I understand Victor had a bad experience but he needs help. I just hope in part 2, I hope Yvette leaves before she ends up dead like his mom.

Ok read I wish these authors would just write a novel. I get tired of reading a hundred or so pages then have to wait for a part two, there and four. Just put it all in one book. I won't give the book away but she brought her issues in herself. The signs were all there yet she still choose to marry him. He showed her who he was and she did not believe it.

BATTERED, BROKEN AND BRUISED VERY GOOD READ ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE. I FEEL SO SORRY FOR YVETTE. I HOPE SHE FINALLY OPEN HER EYES AND GET OUT WHILE SHE CAN. VICTOR WAS CRAZY. HE MIGHT KILL HER. MAYBE NELSON WILL COME TO RESCUE HER. I KNOW SHANIKA IS GLAD SHE GOT AWAY FROM HIM BEFORE IT WAS TOO LATE.

Love was truly blind in this story. Victor had so many red flags, it was too bad Yvette didn't take them seriously. This dude was the devil. Although Irma was nosey , she had good reason to be concerned. Nelson was a gem. My heart went out to Yvette for she surely signed up for a catastrophe. Sad, but good read on domestic violence. On to part 2

Such a sad story A brilliant read. If this book could just save one person, it would be good. At least it gives some insight into the inner workings of an abuser. Keep up the good work Lady Lissa, there are young women out there who really think this is love.
