A meticulous dissection of the works of Fumito Ueda. The author obviously didn't have direct access to Ueda himself, instead drawing on previous interviews and anecdotes from other game designers, nevertheless it is a comprehensive and satisfying analysis not only of Ueda's games but also wider topics such as high and low art, aesthetics, auteur theory, psychology, artificial intelligence etc.
