    hey, I thought from the title these were supposed to be "easy", like maybe "put the stamp on upside down to show your love for the IRS, and they'll take 20% off your taxes". alas, it was mostly stuff I already know (e.g., difference between tax-deferred retirement accounts and Roth IRA's), or stuff that would only be useful to someone a great deal richer than I am (deductibility of expenses involved in maintaining the vacation home you rent out part of the year.......). hey, I thought from the title these were supposed to be "easy", like maybe "put the stamp on upside down to show your love for the IRS, and they'll take 20% off your taxes". alas, it was mostly stuff I already know (e.g., difference between tax-deferred retirement accounts and Roth IRA's), or stuff that would only be useful to someone a great deal richer than I am (deductibility of expenses involved in maintaining the vacation home you rent out part of the year.......).

    Very interesting! I learned a lot. Unfortunately, this book will be outdated after this tax season. All of the monetary figures are provided specifically for the 2008 tax season.
