Enjoyed This was a good shot book. It was quite enjoyable and I am going to try to find the rest of the books in this series. I’m usually not one for the shorter books but this was an exception.

Disappointing I was so looking forward to this book. Babies shifting sounded awesome but the only thing close was in the epilogue. Pregnancy discovered. Bad title for the book.

Not Much To It I mean it felt a bit more like a summary with dialogue than a story. There's very little in the way of character development. As far as what's on the page the characters know each other about as well as I know the clerk at the gas station I use, which means really not at all beyond vague chit chat when you're checking out, and then bam they're mating for life and having a baby. I'm sitting here thinking huh? Not Much To It I mean it felt a bit more like a summary with dialogue than a story. There's very little in the way of character development. Okay It was an okay read but a lot shorter then I originally thought. Took me less than an hour to read and I don’t read that fast. I feel the plot could have been expanded to be longer, more intricate, and honestly more interesting if only the author had taken the time to do so. It was just so compacted that I really didn’t feel like it was an actual story but more of a novel’s first draft outline.

THE BABY SHIFT: NORTH DAKOTA is the first book in the Shifter Babies of America series. This is a series of stand-alone novellas. Shifters, a mating bond, great chemistry, and even a bit of danger all wrapped up in a quick, engaging tale. This first in a series of short, shifter stories sets the bar pretty high for what's to come. It's easily read in one sitting, which is a good thing because the pacing and story keep the pages turning. It's impossible not to fall a bit for Jack with his charm, and I love feisty heroines so Ginger is perfect for this romance. She speaks her mind and takes no guff, but it's not overdone. The mating bond so prevalent in shifter stories is present, but it's not really the focus. Rather than it being the topic of every conversation, it's more implied, letting the terrific chemistry between Jack and Ginger grow into something almost tangible. We also have some danger to add to the excitement and further compliment an already entertaining read. All in all, a great start to a promising series.

Fanning has done it again with this new series. There's action, adventure, drama, suspense, intrigue, humor, family, friends, romance, passion/lust and love. Phew! Small town that will have you turning in circles but no less riveting for doing so. Ginger doesn't want to become entangled with the new comer, and Jack is simply there to find his brother. The steam is coming from more than the kitchen. However, you need to read this great story to see what happens. This is the first book in the seri Fanning has done it again with this new series. It had a lot of potential up until the climax of the story, then the climax was incredibly rushed all the way to the epilogue. A Charming story about a wolf shifter and a human I like that this takes place in North Dakota where I'm from and I feel it. It's closer to my heart. I like the character of Ginger who is the baker. The characters of Jack and his brother Connor, who are both wolf shifters. Jack followed his brother to Grey Creek to get revenge on another bad wolf shifter. Drama of the story is fast-paced and interesting. This is a short story that the reader finishes quickly. Ginger and Jack Ginger is the owner of a very busy bakery in Gray Creek and despite the town folks efforts to point her to the bachelors in town, she was to busy to give love a second chance. All that changes when the first shifters seen in town shows up asking for large amounts of food. Jack is looking for his younger brother, the last thing he expects is to get fixated with a feisty human. This is a cute short story with a good plot and heartwarming epilogue. Highly recommended

Overall rating: 4.2 The things that I enjoyed about this tale are firstly, the characters became lifelike quickly. The actual storyline is fast paced and a breeze to read through. The HEA is sweet and simple. All in all a great PNR that can be squeezed in during a lunch break. The title is slightly confusing in relation to the story but still a good read. This is a short, intriguing novella about a wolf shifter (Jack) who comes into a town (Grey Creek) searching for his brother (Conner) & meets his mate, the local baker who happens to be a human female (Ginger). I found the story-line and plot quite entertaining & well-written with interesting characters. There is: wolf shifters, a rogue shifter, drama, some humor, attractions, conflict, surprises & happiness.

Waited for more The beginning started off strong and peaked my interest. All of the characters were engaging and the good ones, likeable. Sadly, the story abruptly ended. The "baby" was a blip in the story. The time invested in the holiday seasoned had no closure. I've read other stories by Ms. Fanning so I'm a little disappointed but I hope the next book will be more like her other stories. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and Ginger's breakfast biscuits are just what wolf shifter Jack needs. Little does he realize that he also needs Ginger. I was given an ARC through Instafreebie but I enjoyed this book so much that I did buy a copy 01/09/2019 on its release. A short but enjoyable story. The baby isn't really the focus, more like the HEA. I expected something a little different based on the name. It is well-written though and I actually liked the characters. It's short, so pretty instalove. Overall, I would recommend it especially if you're going to be stuck somewhere waiting for about an hour or so. A short but enjoyable story. The baby isn't really the focus, more like the HEA.
