When their blood donor is killed, George, her necromancer-boyfriend Corey, his ghost and wraith go into Faerie in search of another fae donor. An unexpected capture and judgment that will change Faerie take place before they head home with a blue fae in tow. Amadan is convinced that George is important to the House of Gray and Graves, a fae court between the Light and Dark Courts that has been empty for years. He is only the first of the Gray Court to arrive seeking George. But not everyone looking for George has her best interest at heart. The Coalition of the Righteous Living want her dead. So does the powerful fae Gadrael who killed her in her last life. This is not the life she wanted! Gray and Graves was a mixed success for me. I love the story. I am not a fan of the characters. Corey is awful. Charlie's Angels or the three stooges, whichever you prefer, are nearly as bad. George's mother, sister, and brother-in-law are not worth mentioning. Amadan is interesting but his mood swings and the way he seems to hold George responsible for his actions keep me from liking him as much as I normally would have. I love Samael and my heart went out to him. Overall, he handled everything much better than I could have expected and the pain George caused him made him a sympathetic character. George was complicated. I don't like how she set herself up as a doormat at the same time that she hurt people who loved her because of her lack of backbone. Her relationships with Rachel and Corey were both disasters, the way she allowed her mother and sister to treat her was pathetic, and her existence with the three other undead was ugly. Only her friendship with Char seemed decent. But what bothered me most was her weakness towards Samael. Her memory avoidance, her deliberate nastiness, her disregard for taking advice drove me crazy. I prefer a female that is stronger and faces life head-on. And when they can't, at least they can try not to go out of their way to say spiteful things and try to destroy others. I hate a character that does stupid things even when they know better or don't really even want to do it to try to avoid what is coming. Denying fate is not an attractive quality. However, I didn't hate her. I feel like there is a lot of potential for he once she accepts Liadain's part of her and her future. I look forward to returning to Faerie and eventually facing Gadreal.

A hard time This is one of my favorite authors, but I had hard time with this book. I really couldn't put my finger on why I didn't like it. It had all the crazy elements that I like from Stunich. Maybe it's the zombie thing?

I was introduced to this author when a Facebook friend of my recommended 'losing me finding you'(which I LOVED btw). This is the second book of hers that I have read & I've officially become a C.M. Stunich fangirl for life!! This book was Ah-Mazing, brilliant, original & awesome...sorry, I'm a little excited Lol. But seriously, if you love paranormal books, this will rock your socks off. I am Georgette Marie French. But seriously, if you love paranormal books, this will rock your socks off. I am Georgette Marie French. Daughter of Annette Rosemary Cummings and Anthony Starling French, sister of Marilou Rose French-Walker. I'm twenty-six years old, never married, always dating. I have no children, a don't want any, and oh yeah, I'm undead though I'm not charming like a vampire or mysterious like a ghost, I'm just a zombie. And possibly the Queen of an entire court of human souls and madmen. There really isn't much I can say about the plot, I could never explain it right & it really is just better if you experience it as you read it. There will be blood & lots of gore, some parts were rather disgusting, a ton of action & surprises, a buffet of unimaginable creatures, necromancers & oh holy hott fae (Samael & Amadan will be stuck in my head for a long looong time hehe). I could not stop reading, I just HAD TO SEE what was coming next!! But now I'm done & I NEED THE NEXT BOOK, SERIOUSLY!!! I know this is a trilogy but I have no idea when the next book is coming and I NEED IT! I'm dying to know what happens now and I need more of my Fae. Fingers crossed that I don't have to wait too terribly long. Check out this book & this author, brilliant!!!

CM always has vivid world she creates. I think my favorite part of her writing is I never know how the story will progress. I’m always caught off guard and I love it. She is never predictable but always stays true to her characters. George’ character changed throughout this book and by the end she evolved into the person she needs to be. I’m really looking forward to the next book of the series.

Actual character development in the leading lady?!?! Ok, let’s get this out of the way: you’re NOT supposed to like the fmc in the beginning. If you’re struggling with getting past her initial personality then I’m sorry to hear that you have so little tolerance for a Fmc having a bad attitude. To be honest, you don’t like many of the characters in the book at first. As the story grows and they begin to gain (shocker) character depth and development you start to see their potential. Personally I cannot wait for book two, I’m so happy that for once a fmc starts out as shitty and grows into kick a**. Thank you for brining to life characters that are flawed, real, and to be honest relatable. It’s always slightly irked me that most fmc are either nice little virgins, or have had limited experience, would NEVER ever cheat, and are pretty much the Virgin Mary reincarnate. Looking forward to seeing who little Georgie becomes!

It was good. I really liked this story and premise and characters. Well, most the characters. Stunich is a master storyteller and world-builder, her strengths highlighted in this book. I fell into the story and didn’t want to put the book down until I finished. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was the FMC really started to tick me off towards the end of the book. I like a stubborn MC that thinks for herself and questions what she’s told, but there’s a line between that and being obstinate and making stupid decisions and for me, the FMC crosses that line and then some. However, I will say, it seems it was purposeful on the part of the author, the consequences of her actions enough to give Georgette the push she needed to finally accept things. I just wish it hadn’t had to happen quite like it did, because it made me like her less. I will definitely still continue the series though, I have full faith in the author and her plans for the characters that she will draw me back in and make these decisions make complete sense in the end. All in all, I’d recommend and pick it up again.

Wow! First I want to say, I love this cover and that dedication made me laugh 😀. Stunich did an incredible job creating this world, the subtle nuances, the back and forth in characters and their flaws and the turmoil of so much going on with them all. I definitely recommend this read if you enjoy paranormal reads with dark elements!

The main character kept waffling between a complete and utter pushover to someone who wanted to be in control. The downside? Every time she was in control she refused to listen to a lick of sense and tons of people died, which nobody seemed to notice!?! Add to that the fact that every chapter taught you about another fae creature that had to be introduced that may or may not have even been part of the story. I can’t muster enough to care about the characters enough to continue the story into the The main character kept waffling between a complete and utter pushover to someone who wanted to be in control. I usually like this authors work. This book had me scratching my head; it felt like she wrote it a long time ago without editing it and just threw it out for people to read after her success with other series. It was not engrossing and lacked cohesive plot structure. Kept reading it to see if it would get better - it just got sillier. This should not have been published - boring and hard to relate to main girl who was never completely described physically.

So this is not my favorite from CM but it is still a great start to a new series. Georgette kind of rubbed me the wrong way at first (kind of whiny to me) but she started to grow a backbone there about 3/4 the way through. Her necromancer I don't know about him, he is a little bit of a jerk. I love the Fool and Samuel though. The story line is interesting and I really want to see where this story is going to go in the future.

You did it again CM! Mother of God, I can’t believe I did not read this sooner. Honestly at the mention of Zombie did put me off to start with. However as soon as I started reading I was hooked by the end of the first chapter. The story is fast and furious. Very exciting and thrilling. In love with the lead character and can not wait to find out what happens in the next books.

Creepy sexy Fae So, we have a girl who is a long list faire queen reborn. The catch is that she is currently a zombie, since being raised by a necromancer after her recent death. To complicate things, she is only one of the "ladies" he's raised and jealousy dies not become any of them. The book gets more complicated, but is more creepy if you remember that even though she has copious amounts of sex, she is still a zombie....

Another amazing read by CM that had me hooked. This story and characters are crazy, interesting and absolutely unputdownable. I really enjoyed Georgette and Amadan but I’m dying too see what happens between Georgette and SamaeI because the sexual tension is off the charts. I can’t wait too see what happens next.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. Incomplete series that I wouldn’t recommend at this point, maybe it will get better... but so far, Not so much. I usual like this author’s work. but stupid, selfish, thoughtless main characters just irritate me. Main character “I feel rebellious, so I’m going to pretend there aren’t shitty people trying to kill me and put my best friend in the line of Fire.” Just dumb.

Oh George Oh George. This poor girl's life is one complicated mess after another. Her life has been flip turned upside down to quote a Little Will Smith The Fresh Prince lol This book is very different and intriguing, I loved it. So much suspense and action and unrest... total chaos for George!

Gray and Graves Like all of the other CM Stunich books I've read, I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and I need to know what happens next. The only thing I didn't like was Georgette's inability to listen and take good advice. Like it's great to be strong and have a backbone, but don't take it too far... smh. Anyway, still a good book and I'm looking forward to more.

Good While not my favorite of her books, I did eventually get sucked into the story! Very hard for me to stay interested though. Not sure how I feel about the character’s although now that George has found her backbone I might have to read the next book. Read for yourself and see what you think

I really didn't know what to expect when I received this book (it's the first zombie book I've read.. partly because I'm a chicken, and don't like being scared), but I was easily seduced by this book. I also liked the formatting of the chapters, the Author takes a second to explain the supernatural creatures/beings that are included in the book. I needed the explanation for some of them, because I've never heard of them. I liked the heroine in this book is easy to relate to, in the beginning she is vulnerable. But she eventually discovers her destiny, and finds her voice and stubborn side (which makes you want to kick her in the butt sometimes). Her zombie side sounded pretty gross too! Good thing for charms to make her normal. All in all I loved this book and can't wait for the second!
