In my opinion it was entirely too easy to get swept up in and swept away by this amazing read. I felt that the author did a terrific job when taking the classic "Wuthering Heights" story, modernized it and added some very enticing twists. Cathy and Heath's story offers a engaging blend of romance, drama, angst, heartache, emotional turmoil and a hint of forbidden. I loved both these characters so much and I thought that there was such an underlaying layer of sweetness to this steamy, beautiful, In my opinion it was entirely too easy to get swept up in and swept away by this amazing read. I received this eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review. After being left by Heath, Cathy has spent the last 10 years living her own life. She's not using her family's money, but rather went to med school and is making her own money by being a dotor and helping people. But then Heath shows back up in her life. And Cathy has changed so much. Now she wants nothing to do with him, and just wants him to leave. Just when life is looking up, Cathy receives some terrible news that will change everything... I read the prequel, Hollywood Princess, which is actually the first 13% of this book, and I enjoyed it but thought it could be better. Well, Hollywood King came along and made it better! I think I just needed more from the characters than a novella could do for me, but this novel more than made up for that! I loved Heath's viewpoint the best, I think. He is a mysterious character, so being able to get inside of his head and seeing what he is thinking was a vital part of this novel. And Cathy. That poor girl. She has been through so much crap in her young life, it is heartbreaking to see her give up - even for a brief second. I'm so glad I got a chance to read this novel, and I am going to keep my eye out for more novels by this author!

Classic angst, made modern I'm unfamiliar with the original story, so found this to be a bit too much angst. He wants her, she wants him, she's ill, years pass without contact, they meet again, swooning, spanking (!), steamy scenes, drama, and HEA. The writing is decent, but could use another round of editing. (Side note, this is the second book I've reviewed this month with a quacking heroine. Perhaps I'm missing something). An example: "Her knees quacked around along my sides, and she slapped Classic angst, made modern I'm unfamiliar with the original story, so found this to be a bit too much angst. This is the second book in the series not sure it the author will continue with the story. This book is about Cathy and Heath they are considered Hollywood’s royalty. Heath was adopted by Cathy parents and have been in love with each other since they were kids. The story starts when they where in their early 20s and after a meeting they had they don’t see each other for another 10 years. This is the first book that I've read from the author and i read it in one sitting because the story is very interesting and kept me wanting to read more to find out what will happen with them, what will happen with their love story because it's full of angst and ups and downs that will keep you glued to your kindle to find out if they will get their happily ever after. Angst and steamy scenes, this book is a fast-paced read and a bit different story from what i usually read, but great neverthel This is the first book that I've read from the author and i read it in one sitting because the story is very interesting and kept me wanting to read more to find out what will happen with them, what will happen with their love story because it's full of angst and ups and downs that will keep you glued to your kindle to find out if they will get their happily ever after. A moving story of love at all costs. It is a little sad but hopeful. Cat and Heath struggle throughout the book against people and situations that keep them apart. Their love for each other is heartfelt and true but has also led to some very heartbreaking moments in their lives. In the end hope for the future and love wins.

Hollywood King is a great retelling of Wuthering Heights with its own little twist. There are a lot of emotional aspects to this novel, but it was also steamy and romantic. Cathy and Heath were passionate, and I loved their chemistry. Hollywood King was a great, steamy, dramatic and romantic retelling of the classic. I thoroghly enjoyed it, and I can't to see what the author brings next.

Hollywood King is sexy and entertaining. This was my first book by Monica Corwin, but I will be reading more very soon. This dual POV, second chance romance was very easy to get into and I thoroughly enjoyed the story that was told. Cathy and Heath have been in-love with one another since they were young even though Heath was adopted by Cathy’s Hollywood royalty family. Their relationship is fraught with heartache—and the angst junkie I am loved every moment. 😉 Cathy’s story was heartbreaking. G Hollywood King is sexy and entertaining. Going into the story, I was sure that it would be Cathy’s character that I would identify with and somehow, I found it easier to understand Heath--regardless of the fact that I didn’t agree with some of his actions. Monica wrote a story that flowed well and before I knew it I had read the whole book. I would review this story at 4 stars and recommend it to the lovers of second chance romances. It held both a sexy and sweet vibe that is sure to sweep you away! On a side note: this novel of Hollywood King that I read include the prequal Hollywood Princess. I had a tough time with the prequal and felt that it was just too short—the early relationship between Heath and Cathy could have been better developed to establish more connection to them and their young love. HOWEVER, this is a bonus to the story, and I do not subtract stars for such. I also didn’t think the same things held true in the full-length novel, Hollywood King. An ARC was received and this is my honest Review on hehalf of:

Intense This book blew me away. It is like not your typical romance novel. Heath was such a great guy and Cathy was unbelievable.

A one-click-worthy homage to the original classic. Her updates are clever and charming. Heath is a hot alpha hero, and I know it's a retelling- but I want MORE. Can't wait to read more by Corwin.

Entertaining It was a quick short read. Entertaining enough to hold my attention throughout. Likable characters with just enough heartbreak. Enjoy it.

Quick read A cute quick read. Hollywood King could use a little depth in the characters. This is similar to a novella. So a quick happy romance... This is for you.

I love everything this authors writes. Her retellings are sexy and fun and THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING. The cover alone was worth grabbing the book. I started it with intentions of reading a bit before dinner and finishing it after and that was not what happened. Once I started I absolutely couldn't stop. This is a retelling of Wuthering Heights and it was PERFECT. She took it into our century and had all the twists that I didn't see coming. Cathy and Heath were amazing.
