Interesting set of six stories! 'Of The Lake" shows Jay, a loner, meeting a mysterious woman. What is she apt to do? 'Deep Below' leads to some new experience for Stephanie. 'Neighbors From Hell' is about a witch coven. 'The Pond's Edge' and 'The City Gate' were okay. The last story, 'Animal Memories' was one of the highlights here and my personal favorite. Overall okay if you want to enjoy a little bit of horror.

Short but intense I’m both excited and upset with this collection. The stories are so good; all of them are awesome tales. I’m upset that they aren’t stand alone novels in their own right. Each short story pulled me in for a teasing fright and left me needing more.

Six little horror stories to keep you warm on these dark winter nights. The whole book is only about an hour to read so perfect for an evening’s entertainment. Do we really know people as much as we think we do? This book tells us we don’t. I liked all the stories but my favourite had to be ‘Animal Memories’. Rosie has a special telepathic ability with animals which she uses to investigate a mysterious disappearance at a circus. A clever idea and a gripping plot. Nice! Loved the stories. I am not an avid horror reader but I thought I'd give this book a try. I figured since they were short stories, the books wouldn't be as terrifying as reading a full book. I loved the stories, they had just the right amount of scary and mystery for me. It reminded me of the netflix show, Black Mirror. This was an amazing read. I recommend it for anyone who loves mystery and horror. Nice! Loved the stories. of the lake 3/5 deep below 2/5 neighbors from hell 3/5 the pond's edge 3/5 the city gate 2/5 animal memories 3/5 they were far too short but really enjoyable to read and one or two were more creepy than others and really made me a bit uneasy. some of them should've been separate stories and not just short. some of them were really short but striking. they left me uneasy and I really like that in a horror story. of the lake 3/5 deep below 2/5 neighbors from hell 3/5 the pond's edge 3/5 the city gate 2/5 animal memories 3/5 they were far too short but really enjoyable to read and one or two were more creepy than others and really made me a bit uneasy. some of them should've been separate stories and not just short. some of them were really short but striking. they left me uneasy and I really like that in a horror story.
