As a species, we have more or less conquered the entire Earth and all of its resources. We have built towering structures, intricate systems and settled everywhere — from the tallest peaks to the deepest valleys. We have now entered what many like to think of as the enlightened, scientific era — where old superstitions and fears have been abolished, and the mysteries of the past have been solved. Basically, many of us like to think we have figured it all out. However, whether we want to admit it or not, we are still surrounded by plenty of enigmas. Unexplained phenomena, such as confirmed instances of remote viewing or sightings of strange beings like Bigfoot, may sow a seed of doubt in even the surest of individuals. While some sneer at, or shy away from, the thought of investigating the mysterious, there are also those who feel curious, maybe even energized, at the thought of exploring something completely new. As Neil Armstrong once said: “Mystery creates wonder, and wonder is the basis for man’s desire to understand”. If you are one of those who seek to feel wonder, this book is for you. Herein you will find a varied collection of some of the most intriguing unexplained mysteries of our time. The book covers a variety of topics including: The Sphinx possibly being older than currently believed. The Mothman. The Paranormal Prison. Various UFO sightings. Gobekli Tepe. Ghost Lights. M.I.B.s. Stonehenge. Edgar Cayce and various topics. To me the most interesting is Gobekli Tepe, about 11,000 years old, built by people from somewhere, built for some reason and abandoned for some reason. To me the most interesting is Gobekli Tepe, about 11,000 years old, built by people from somewhere, built for some reason and abandoned for some reason. There were a lot of underground tunnels which have yet to be explained along with questions remaining about where their food and water came from. Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence and, so far, that type of evidence is lacking as to UFOs and ghosts, for example. I've followed the UFO topics for over fifty years and what I read at the beginning of my studies is pretty much what I read about today. The technical devices used to study the UFO phenomenon may have changed but there is still no clear evidence that they represent aliens coming to our planet. Ghosts are a very significant topic from a philosophical viewpoint. If it could be proved that any of the interactive ghosts are real (these are the ones that seem to communicate in real time and with valid information) then that would establish a strong support for some kind of existence after the death of the physical body. It's a fairly well-done book but it falls into the 'more of the same' category.

Enjoyable Intro into the Unknown Well done with coverage of more recent mysteries and a nice cross of phenomena. I wish it were longer, but it makes up for that in quality. The author is to be commended for objectively reporting the known facts, listing possible solutions and allowing the reader to draw his or her own conclusions.

Book was interesting This was an interesting book from start to finish. The author gave a defendant of detail to each subject. Overall, i would read another book with more of the unexplained mystery.

Wish it was more detailed Book was interesting enough. It's like more for children than adults. I would have love for it to have been more investigative and included more examples, stories, information, etc. Wish it was more detailed Book was interesting enough. Great read Having been very interested in the paranormal since my first sighting in 1959, I found this book very different from many others. The layout was exceptional as was the subject matter, I liked the choice of multiple explanations on the subjects.👍

An array of unexplained mysteries throughout human history, and how even with all of our current knowledge, we still can't explain. But not all of the world is meant to be understood, and this book helps you come to this realization. A fun book. I believe that the cases written in this book may have some truth to them. But I think some items are slanted to keep it interesting for the readers.

Nothing Special A couple of the stories are interesting, many you've heard before. None of them are written with enough depth. There are many books like this all over the web.
