I may be a little biased with this one, because this is MY BOOK. Ahhhhhh! I wrote this to keep my imagination alive as I work through edits of my work-in-progress novel, and I fell so much in love with these tales that I wanted to share them with the world, instead of keeping them locked up inside my journals. Enjoy!! Katy x

I have always been a very seasonal person, loving every season for what it is. I love seeing every sprout that pops up in my garden at springtime and seeing nature come to life again after a cold inter. I love lazy summers spent by the seaside or picking wildflowers in the meadow at the summer house. I love rainy walks through the village and home baked cinnamon buns in autumn. And I love sitting curled up under a blanket reading my favourite book in front of the fireplace as winter slowly cover I have always been a very seasonal person, loving every season for what it is. And I love sitting curled up under a blanket reading my favourite book in front of the fireplace as winter slowly covers the village in snow. Hell, I even make my playlists by the seasons! So, it is safe to say that Katy’s little book hit home. It is full of magic and myth and is steeped in folklore. Though haunting and eerie at times, it captures the ever-changing seasons in the most magical way. I’ll be sure to flick through this again and again as the seasons come and go.

Reading Katy's words filled me with hope and melancholy and the deep need of the forest. It's quite magical, actually. I love how she describes the way Nature helps you to find peace and growth, and I loved all the folklore (special mention to woman!Jack Frost!). Each work is connected to a season and it works so well. I will surely read them according to the time for all year to come (and the years after!)

Re-Read in September 2019 Still great, inspiring and wonderful. I have a feeling that I will love this for a long time and draw some inspiration from it. The author puts an interesting spin on well-known folklore and I found that really satisfying. She talks about balance of good and bad, of the lonely and the outsiders. The writing style was really nice and I loved how playful the author was with words. Really inspiring.

I’ve been following Katy’s adventures through her Instagram page for a couple years now, and was thrilled to see she released a short book. In “Seasons of Magic,” Katy transports one to magical lands. The poems and short stories follow the four seasons, encouraging one to live mindfully and appreciate the magic woven into various landscapes. There are enchanted woodlands and icy seas. There are Fae, and mermaids, and witches. This was an enchanting collection of poems and stories.

Read during The Reading Rush. I thoroughly enjoyed this. For me personally I preferred the poetry but it was all beautiful. I knew it would be good but I hadn’t realised it would be this good!

Immerse yourself into the magical world of Katy Who, with her enchanting poetry and short folklore tales who would want to leave. Thankfully I don’t need to, for having this beautiful little book will always be in my possession.

Beautiful, magical, breathtaking. Katy writes with a sincerity, her pen a paintbrush, illustrating the magic of the passing year. Details and touches of magic deeply describe the seasons and their cast of characters. Amazing.

What a lovely piece! I absolutely adored it! I've been taken on a magical journey across the changing nature and the elements. I met all kinds of creatures and let my imagination draw their features. I received an immersive bowl of fresh air. All that because Kathy is a skilled storyteller. Already planning a rereading during the fall season!

I've been in one huge emotional slump these past four months due to the colder weather, and the creative and adventurous part of me with a passion for seeing the beauty in life, has been in total hibernation. Katy Who's Instagram has always been one of my absolute favourites, and Seasons of Magic is a wonderful treat! Five stars!
