Good book for guiding children in their journey of independence and self confidence. The muppets show That they can comb their hair, button buttons, put their toys away etc.

I absolutely love this book because you have those kids that are so determined to be independent, like my nephew. He constantly was saying I can do it by myself. So this book was great since it showed all the different things that kids can do themselves. Like buttoning their jacket, making their bed and so forth. I often tell my son when he says he can't do things that he can do it all by himself. I absolutely love this book because you have those kids that are so determined to be independent, like my nephew. This book shows the routines children go through on a daily basis. In this book everyday actions come to light through the characters on Sesame Street. I feel like having well known characters that have been helping kids learn for a long time is a great way to make sure Being the first book read to me as a kid, I have been a huge fan of the great inspiration behind the words. The reader is giving the kids encouragement to do it themselves. While encouraging kids to do it themselves they are providing them with ways on how to complete the actions. These childhood milestones are very important to kick start a child’s ability to do things on their own. The texts are very simple, small and bold. On the other hand the illustrations are very overpowering on each page. Teaching the kids to learn through pictures and not just through the words. The illustrations of cartoons in this book bring a lot of warmth to each one of the characters. The background has very little color and is faded so there is more attention drawn to each one of the actions that the characters are doing. There are brighter colors that make up the characters to attract attention there.

Easy to memorize, and since everyone loves Muppets (or they SHOULD) then it doesn't get too tedious to read this nightly. A short book, the different things the inhabitants of Sesame Street can do by themselves (writing a name, riding a "bike", getting dressed, brushing teeth). Cute is the name of the game, and this is pre-Elmo days, so he isn't bursting onto each page talking in third person. This book has a vintage feel, and a "gentle" feel. A good quiet book, but not a story. Easy to memorize, and since everyone loves Muppets (or they SHOULD) then it doesn't get too tedious to read this nightly. This is the first book my daughter read all alone. My baby brother also read this book to my mom several times a day when we were young. I just feel it is really a book that leads your child on the right path to being independent. Great read!

I think I used to have this book. The Muppet books used to be so brilliant! Last page: "I can look at this whole book. I can do it myself!" Also, the visual comparisons between what Bert does and what Ernie does are hilarious. I think I used to have this book. The Muppet books used to be so brilliant! I like this book because it shows the routines children go through on a daily basis, can do by themselves like getting dressed, brushing teeth, and riding bike. This is a great book to read to children who are at that stage of trying to do everything themselves.

This was the first book I was ever able to "read". I was 4 years old. I recently found it at the Friends of the Library used book sale and picked it up for my daughter. She loves it too. It's a cute book, but has very little text per page. ...It's a book that reads almost too fast. It's a cute book, but has very little text per page. ...It's a book that reads almost too fast.
