For years, women around the world have been told “beauty is pain.” Our mothers and grandmothers have tried to prepare us for the pain of wearing heels, getting our eyebrows waxed, and getting burned while getting our hair straightened. The type of pain they were referring to was a type of pain that was sure to go away. But... they also taught us lessons about a longer lasting pain—love. How many times have we heard that love will make you cry, that it isn’t real unless you go through something? Around the world today, there are beauties using makeup to cover their pain and scars because they still believe “love is pain.” They don’t realize that the type of pain they are enduring could possibly kill. In this collection of short stories, women from all over suffer through one of the biggest issues that society faces: dealing with domestic violence. I will recommend this book to others to read because it teaches a lot of valuable lessons we all can learn from

Doesn't do the subject justice I'm just amazed that there are four authors represented in this anthology and not of the stories are edited. How can this be taken seriously when the presenter doesn't do so? I get really fired up seeing such lackluster work, especially dealing with such a serious, problematic issue. And I hate trying to figure out what an author is trying to say or meant to say. Shame. And to top it off, the last story ended with a cliffhanger. Good read I really enjoyed reading this book but unfortunately it had so many errors that I gave it 4 stars because the editing was not the best. There were so many errors(spelling, names, punctuation, etc..). The stories were really good and quite informative and I look forward to reading the next part because I'm anxious to know what happens with Lex and Guy.

A Realistic View of The Ugliness of Domestic Violence Fantastic from beginning to end. A quick read with well-defined characters. An awesome reminder of what many women endure and the cycle of violence. Demonstrates the importance of the need for parents to love and shield their children --boys and girls --from living in homes filled with violence. Can't wait for pt 2.

Tainted Love is never suppose to hurt. Love doesn't involve fist. Love isn't full of ultimatums. A man will never force you to do something if he love you, or talk down to you. Each story reflected tainted troubled love, and how women try to hold on because of love

Good Read It was a good read but it's hard for me to read books when there are so many words misspelled and unintentionally combined together.
