Punching up at patriarchy, tyrants and the dominant social order, James deftly dismantles blind patriotism and the illusion of American superiority. His urgently searing satire of tech titans and the surveillance state is tempered by playful antics, emotional depth, and a bold reverence for nature. It's as if you’re reading a limerick while also feeling like you might just have entered the mind of a brilliant commentator on society and life. The poems feel like a tease or tickle from someone you love. If you want to feel loved or smarter, or laugh a little harder, get this book.” - Dr. Srini Pillay, Harvard Neuroscientist and Bestselling Author  “Don't let the cute art and talk of silliness fool you. As much as there are ample portions of goofy delight in these lovely poems, this book is actually a trenchant critique of the brokenness of the modern world. It will make you laugh, and it will make you think, and it will make you feel deep, heart-wrenching things--and this was all, I suspect, rather James's intent: to produce a literary masterpiece that hooks you with its charm and keeps you with its ageless and arresting wisdom.” - Dr. Stefani Ruper, Author, Scholar and Philosopher  "In a world that takes itself far too seriously, Abel manages to both poke fun and provide insight… if one is willing to go on the adventure." - Robb Wolf, New York Times Bestselling Author  "Mostly silly? Ok, sure - but as I chuckled, I also felt my heart tighten up at Abel's ability to give us a huge dose of 2019 reality. This little poetry book screams WAKE UP - nothing like humor mixed with a big ol' dose of truth to get us to pay more attention to where we need to make some significant changes in the world. Highly recommended, I'm giving this to everyone I know!" - Sarah Fragoso, Bestselling Author  “A highly entertaining, brilliantly crafted, and deeply profound look at the current state of the human condition. It will challenge you, confront you and perhaps even shock you... but whether or not you agree with it, it’s near impossible to deny the sheer genius of this poetic masterpiece.

Some of the poems in this book are funny, some are dark and thought provoking, and others are touching, especially the poems the author writes about his wife. I enjoyed reading a few of these poems each night before bed. I'm kind of sorry I finished the book. Maybe I'll read it again. Poems have so much packed into a small space that I bet I'll get even more out of it the second time through.
