Beyond caricatures & stereotypes I enjoyed learning about Donald Trump from his children and from Trump’s conversations with the author. Trump taught his children, “if you have to think, think big; don’t go for singles - swing for the fences.” Also enjoyed learning he is a great listener, including construction workers on Trump buildings; then as president: farmers and small businessmen, troops on the ground, and the Chinese premier. Also enjoyed learning about how he is (what Clayton Christensen would call) a “disruptive innovator.” He has proved “experts” wrong time and time again. He gets things done.

I loved reading author Doug Wead's book "Trump as President". As a reader, I felt, I was getting an intimate glimpse into President Trump's life and family. I believe that author Wead captured the essence of what makes President Trump tick. As our president, Donald Trump is able to think outside the box. In addition, President Trump hires the best people. Like the author, I feel he really loves America. I appreciate Doug Wead setting the record straight. In conclusion, I highly recommend this book. I plan to read more books by Doug Wead.

It is a pleasure and an education to by pass the entire negative news media. And learn the truth of the Trump family and the President. Will never believe the news media again Have cancele two news papers. It is amazing how negative the news media has become and the stories they make up and call news.

TOPS!! Of different books I have read on our President this one is the best. I really felt that I was there with the family. And Mr. Wead showed details of many events with caring and depth. It made me appreciate our President and First Lady even more!

Actually, I must admit that I didn't read the entire book. It seemed highly supportive of Donald Trump, verging on hagiography. Not my cup of tea. Actually, I must admit that I didn't read the entire book. It seemed highly supportive of Donald Trump, verging on hagiography. Not my cup of tea.

What could have been A great inside view of the trump family and the 2016 election. Published just before covid, it’s a fascinating glimpse of what almost was.

First book by a Presidential Historian on Trump It will be decades, if not longer before history renders its judgements on the Presidents of the late 20th century and early 21st, but at least they will have one factual on-the-record account of the Trump White House to use, instead of the masses of anonymously sourced books written by Trump detractors. I enjoyed this book. It gives a good perspective.

Eye Opening I wanted to know if President Trump was the real deal or just pretending. I wanted an unbiased, truthful, even if it could be negative, answer from someone who was actually there. This is it. Well written, honest, objective and it answered my question. Donald Trump really cares deeply for We the People, all of us. Stop letting bias form your opinion and read this, get to know the man...not the Media mantra.

Great Read Well written and researched. Amazing that such access and candor was displayed by the entire family and staff, especially considering the ongoing political and media abuse that is going on in this Great America.

I read this book after reading FEAR by Woodward. Doug Weade has a positive view of Trump and the book is based on first hand accounts. When that is not done, Weade says so. Bob Woodward has a negative view of Trump. His book is almost completely based on 2nd 3rd 4th... hearsay. There are very very few 1st hand accounts. Summing up, FEAR is based on allegations from unidentified sources and hearsay. I would have preferred to read THE NATIONAL INQUIRER.
