This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believeable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building that adds so much to the story. Can't wait to read more of these. Recommend reading. I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review

If you like nail biters, pick yourself up a copy of Only One Cure by Jenifer Ruff. I am hooked on medicine and should have gone into that profession, I love to read a good medical story. I finally had to put it down and give into his attempts to get me back to bed. I love Jenifer's development of her characters. The main characters were likeable and I was rooting for them to find the cure. The secondary characters were not as developed but, that did not detract from the story. I was better able to concentrate on what was important and what was really happening. There was not a lot of miscellaneous details in the book. She was right to the point and let you enjoy the story without taking you away for non-essential details. By the way, I still was not able to guess the ending. She did a great job of keeping me stumped I received a copy of this book from the author for a fair and honest review.

Its up to the FBI and Madeline's love Quinn, to find the terrorists responsible for releasing the toxin in the first place. This was my first book by this author and it was quite the medical thriller. I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and the varied cast of characters. If there was one flaw it would be that sometimes the flow of the story was a little jerky, which would have been helped by a little more description. Overall, though, it was a great story and an interesting medical mystery.

This author has gotten my attention with her novels that can take you hostage until you are finished with the last page. This one is no different with it being with alot more suspense and drama that often had my heart racing. This release also fits right in with the pandemic around us which caused even more anticipation through this one. We are first given Madeline than Quinn whom we ride with in this one that you could say at times is almost like reading a horror with the terror you can feel. I love a sequel! Dr. Hamilton and Agent Traynor are together again and it is wonderful to see their relationship develop. I thought the storyline was disturbingly believable: kids lie and parents protect their children at any length. The main plot is quite timely: terrorists among us and viruses without a vaccine. I thought there was just enough medicine but it didn’t bog down in too much clinical detail. My only hang up is that it could have been longer. Captivating Kindle "Top picks for you" suggested this book. Hadn't read anything by this author prior. I found the plot, which involves the Presidents son and several classmates, plausible. Amazing how a medical team can come together so quickly along with the necessary components to get the job done (if only). Exciting pace that weaves in different characters underlying involvement. Ending was rather sudden, leaving reader to fill in a few gaps. Overall good read. 4.5 stars.

Only One Cure is a great thriller. As the CDC joins forces with the FBI, will they be able to thwart the biological attack on a group of students. Join epidemiologist Madeline Hamilton and her boyfriend FBI antiterror specialist Quinn Traynor as they race against time to find a cure and the people responsible for a debilitating neurological toxin in this dark tale. I read this book without reading its predecessor and didn't find any problem doing so. Terrorists have infected the children of the rich and powerful, including the US President, with a virus. Madeline Hamilton and her partner, Quinn Traynor, are tasked with solving the case from the medical and criminal perspectives respectively. What follows is a tense and believable thriller that kept me entertained throughout.

Awesome! This is an excellent, nail-biter of a thriller. Ruff did a masterful job with details, plot development, and character depth. Just enough to keep me on the edge of my seat from the front flyleaf through the final page. Loved it - especially as COVID19 unfolds around the world!! 🥴

A drug lord tries to bring down a sitting American President by using an unknown toxin to kill a group of teens, one being the President's son. As the young people worsen, researchers rush to find a cure. Although fiction, this is certainly a timely story as we now face a pandemic for real. I was gifted this from the author.

a very intense read! The possibility that this could happen is real. Lots of interesting complex characters. The race is on for a cure and the terrorists who are causing this plight. What if we faced a pandemic Thought provoking story , the possibilities of it really happening are worrying especially at a time like this with the cornoa virus. Chemical warfare or terrorism based attacks are an only too well known threat ,the outcome of which could be disastrous and harder to protect against than any explosive or nuclear weapon!

Read and enjoy! A thoroughly good read. At the moment we are in the middle of the Covid 19 pandemic. Could it have been started deliberately, like the virus in the story? We will probably never know. It would be nice to think there was a solution similar to the one in the story, but real life doesn't have nice neat endings!

ARC reviewer Awesome read. Suspenseful storyline, a little bit of romance to enhance the mood, very well written characters and a subject that will get you biting your nails until the end. I wonder if such things actually happen in the world, heaven forbid. As a Brazilian guy I was curious about the reference to my country and again Jenifer has gifted me with an amazing work. I really love your writing style!
