This is an intense murder mystery that didn't quite ring believable with me. Nikki, the incredibly accomplished protagonist, seemed somewhat cold and the pieces of the puzzle came together a little too easily to really capture my attention. However, there were parts of this story that I enjoyed. I liked the high tech story elements, the historical information that was scattered along in the book and characters' views on some current contemporary social issues. This book was good. I was starting to doubt it but then the action kicked in to high gear. I am wanting to know more about Nikki. It’s nice to have a female lead be a badass. Who is Glenroy? What does he have to with Nikki’s past? Will we see more of Constable John? I’m looking forward to book 2 for answers...
