Moments: This to the Next is a compilation of poetry written by Gary W. Burns, an author inspired by nature and beauty. I adored this book since it gave me great comfort and peace in a chaotic world that is articulated and healed in these writings. Through his poems the author shares his reflections and thoughts about life, environment and loveliness of things. He traveled around the world and visited numerous countries and cities, this gave him background knowledge and experience to write this masterpiece which is sweet and genuine. I found myself smiling, laughing, and tearing up as I read. The vast majority of the poems were pleasant and relatable, but there were some flashes of true genius in Gary's descriptions that left me speechless. I highly recommend to read Moments.

I received a free digital copy of this collection through a giveaway hosted on GoodReads. Gary Burns' Moments: This to the Next is a lovely examination of life and love through the eye of nature and the passage of time. This is not, however, to say that they lack in imagery, as quite a few of them paint vivid pictures in your mind, and I bookmarked quite a few to be used as inspiration for drawings and paintings in the future. However, if you are someone who enjoys poetry but finds the flowery language employed by other poets tiring, then this collection (as well as Burns' other collections, I imagine) will likely be perfect for you. This is his tenth collection, and it really shows, as he exhibits a noticeable skill in getting his point across with truly beautiful and meaning-filled language.

I would gladly recommend you all, no matter what age you are, to read it. It is certainly at the top of my list. Don’t miss it.

Moments: This to the Next: Poetry - Now and Eternity is a beautiful book of poetry. It is meditative, contemplative, thought-provoking, emotional, raw, real, and an overall enjoyable book of poetry. Moments: This to the Next by Gary W. Burns is an encouraging and uplifting collection of poems meant to reflect upon. Each poem is short and mellow. The meaning behind most of the poems is vague, allowing the reader to draw their own conclusion. I am not a student of rhyme and reason, but Moments: This to the Next made sense to me. Gary W. Nice, quick read. Short poems and a nice book to pick up for a few minutes of distraction/enjoyment of the moment. I've also read his Garden Poetry book and this one was less nature focused but still enjoyable. Nice, quick read. The prevailing theme of the many poems in this book is wellness, your well-being and harmony. The briefness of the poems was what I liked best about this book. I find if I have something short to repeat and ruminate upon, I do better in my meditations, so these poems are a welcome addition to my meditation techniques. I think that most people can make use of this book, quiet reflection is good for the soul and the gentle tone of this book will certainly help with that.
