Good Read Good read. Nice flow of the story. I'm a slow reader on purpose because I like to visualize the environment and geography involved in the plot. I wish you didn't demand that I write more than I want. It irritates me to be required to go beyond what I wish to say. Good Read Good read. Nice flow of the story. WHO TOOK THE GIRLS Human trafficking, thats what's happening. Girls as young as twelve have been kidnapped. Some of the girls were sold to into slavery by their father, as one of the captives said..very sad The man whose behind all this debauchery is called "One Eyed Joe Pearson." The man owns and interest in a brothel..ain't that nothing. He goes to a town and scopes out the young women and when the opportunity arises, he kidnaps them..taking a walk and the next thing you know your riding doubles WHO TOOK THE GIRLS Human trafficking, thats what's happening. The man owns and interest in a brothel..ain't that nothing. He goes to a town and scopes out the young women and when the opportunity arises, he kidnaps them..taking a walk and the next thing you know your riding doubles with a stinking skunk..ain't life grand! Evidently One Eyed Joe Pearson is a kinky pedophile who likes you girls whose bodies aren't fully formed. He also suffers from erectile dysfunction..what a shame, he motionless in that area..couldn't happen to a more deserving rat. Because of his problem he's a monster on two feet. The men of his gang aren't much better, the author description of one, is that he's a big guy and he gets his kicks out of hurting these pitiful young girls and women. The SherIff Dusty Hicks puts and end to "One Eyed Joe Pearson" and his gang. The sad part is the town's people allowed this situation to flourish in their midst, they acted like it wasn't there. The marshal and the town council were receiving bribes from One Eyed Joe Pearson, besides they were 😨afraid of him and his gang..So everyone kept their heads down. Sheriff Dusty Hicks finally found the town that One Eyed Joe Pearson had escaped where another house of Ill-repute in the town of Buzzards Stone, and yes thats an appropriate name for this town, which has no law at all. That's why men like " One Eyed Joe Pearson " can get a toe hold, these types of towns were all over the West and outlaws flocked to them..like bees to honey. A real humdinger this has a ?little bit of everything, mystery, an over protective mayor regarding his son Lucas, whom the mayor felt that no one in town was worthy enough. Sheriff Dusty Hicks is dual pistol holder and shootist not afraid, will come at you with both pistols blazing. Ride easy Sheriff Dusty Hicks and Patience..love the names they give their horses..don't you??

Not another page!!! One would hope that with each book the editing JUST MAYBE, HOPEFULLY improve. But it has worsened triple fold.!!! Names have been switched far too many times, pronouns blatantly placed, as well as grammatical and punctuation errors beyond belief. This book was totally ruined for me to continue with this series. Sorry Mr. Powell......you need to fix this issue.....BADLY!!!!😪

Dusty, his Deputies Grover and Carol, certainly makes an outstanding sleuthing job in the obliteration of One-Eyed Joe's outlaw gang. This is another fast moving, but entertaining revelation of western adventures of old American folklore storytelling at its best! Certainly five stars worthy, as there isn't one dull moment throughout the entire book withEring Dusty leading his heroic group to ongoing victories, with minimal loss of manpower! One-Eyed Joe and his band of cut throats weren't as fortunate. Mr. Powell, as always, does another outstanding descriptiveness of how our old West was actually tamed, and pulls no punches in his effort to pacify his readers ongoing desires! Some of most most endearing storylines I have had the opportunity to read, and the outstanding character selections throughout the entire book. They, most definitely, were effectively selected for their assigned roles, alto some of them were horrific in their endeavours. Certainly have no problem recommending this outstanding western masterpiece, as it will appease anyone's desired expectations, especially all of you western addicted readers. Even you non-western enthusiasts will find this somewhat suspenseful story exciting and full of gunplay extravaganzas! Try it, guys and gals, because I know you will be as overwhelmed as I was with all the on-going western uprisings!!😀

This is the story of Dusty and Carol. There are a lot of secondary characters. This story is full of action from beginning to end. Secrets are held by both of them. Dusty needs a push to be with Carol because of a past experience. There is a cruel villain with a good number of men. This is a good story. It will hold your attention fully. Joseph Powell is a well written author. I'm very fond of his books. Looking forward to the next one. This is the story of Dusty and Carol. There are a lot of secondary characters. This story is a fascinating look at the Old West, an era when criminals sometimes ran the towns. Sheriff Dusty cleaned up his town but when One Eyed Joe kidnaps four young girls for his business in another town, Dusty springs into action to rescue the girls. This is not an easy task as Joe has a lot of followers and the location is top secret. There is lots of action in Mr. Powell’s stories. I can’t put these books down!

Grammar was horrible The book was fairly interesting. Minus all the violence. In my opinion, the book was very poorly written and whoever proofed read it, was not the best. Many times the words did not fit the picture. When talking about a character addressed, several the wrong name was used. Throwing the reader. Maybe the author needs an English grammar class.

Two many characters and each one had to have a back ground. premise of the story was good however don't just write words to fill up the number of words required. A different Texas Well there’s 18 shots from two revolvers without reloading. In this western town a woman and baby can be abducted on main street and none of the Citizens draw a gun. And a half dozen occurrences of dodging a bullet. It’s a little different.

One-eyed Joe Pearson is as bad as they come and Sheriff Dusty is going to rescue the young women Joe has been kidnapping to fill his brothel. Lots of action, grit and Old Western justice. I was gifted a copy. no review was required. My review is voluntary.
