It reminded me of a reverse harem version of Frozen with a touch of steam. It was a cute story but this probably won’t be for you if you’re not into fairytales. Edit: I just realized that the reason it gave me frozen vibe is because it is a retelling of that story. Don’t know how I missed that in the blurb lol. Anyway if you’re into retellings and a fan of RH I think I this is for you. I thought it was a cute and obviously more steamy version of Frozen.

Adult version of frozen Your gonna love this ice queen. I really enjoyed the characters in their book. They were very easy to connect with. I did want alittle bit more from the story. But from one of my favorite dark authors I think she did a good job with this fairytale retelling.

So this post will definitely contain spoilers so be warned... I have so many conflicting feelings about this book...First, this book has good characters, settings, and action. Secondly, Frost (the FMC) has these depressing moments where she hates and doubts herself, but then suddenly becomes a badass and decapitates a king (maybe the love of her guys made her strong?? Idk...). Thirdly, there are parts of the story that are left dangling in the end and unexplained, such as, the crazy snow monsters which are never truly fleshed out...and, why if Blue is the powerful witch can she not stop them?? Fourth, and this hinges on the plot, but it felt as if there was not enough of the plot used to build the relationship between Frost and her men. They see her and admit she is beautiful, sympathize with her pain, and then boom love her. There are no real interactions or conversations that would make someone develop feelings for another person. They just travel together a lot and sex becomes suddenly convenient. I was trying to root for Frost, but then she basically used her first time with Douglas to just get him to fall asleep so she could sneak away, and no pun intended, but that was cold and heartless (especially since Douglas is the best of the three men...). I’m usually right alongside Candace’s characters cheering for them, so maybe it was an off day for me, but Frost and her story did not pack the punch I was expecting. Overall though, a solid fantasy RH with an amazing epilogue and some crazy action scenes!!

Ice Queen with a RH twist. I absolutely love fairy tale retellings with a RH twist and this one didn’t disappoint. Honestly, I wasn’t too familiar with this specific fairy tale but the blurb and cover drew me in and then I read the first chapter and I was hooked. Everything was all well detailed and described. The story and plot made sense and flowed well throughout the book. I couldn’t help but feel pity for Frost. She had to live a hard and lonesome life. She knew there wasn’t anyone else in t Ice Queen with a RH twist. I absolutely love fairy tale retellings with a RH twist and this one didn’t disappoint. She knew there wasn’t anyone else in the world like her and she had no idea how to control her magical powers. Then you add the trauma from her childhood where she lost everything and everyone, then you have a defeated and broken woman. Then comes her 3 assassins who slowly but surely piece her back together and give her the strength to be the woman she ought to be. This is a sweet and romantic reverse harem fairy tale with a little bit of steam. The steam definitely didn’t overshadow or distract me from the main plot of the story. It was just a fun added bonus. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys retellings of fairy tales where the author has completely added her own twist to it and made it her own.

Disney after hours I'm not sure thats the exact feel Candace wanted us to get from this book, but that's exactly what I got. I absolutely loved this book, it was somewhat fluffy with enough angst to keep my interest. I loved all 3 men and Frost. That is such a rare thing in the RH genre, to love everyone, and I am so happy to have found this book. I would for sure read more of this world. I will definitely be reading this again.

Fantastic book atwist on frozen. Frost is on a self imposed banishment. She keeps herself away from others. I mean why not, she has already killed those she loves why hurt anyone else. Blue is her only friend and well he dosnt really talk much. She is lonely and emotionally cold. This is a brilliant read. Could not put this down!

What a fun, sweet read I really enjoyed this story. It had such a fun concept and the men were just the sweetest. I am always happy to read a sweet low angst read. Not gonna pretend I expected this story from the Queen of the Dark (*smile*) but I'm so glad she wrote it!

This book was hard to put down. The story had some similarities to Frozen but it was very much an adult tale. I enjoyed all the characters especially the mc Frost. Things do get a bit steamy halfway through the book. This was a very enjoyable standalone.

Loved it! There are never enough adult high fantasy romances, and this one was very well written! The heroine and all three heroes were great, and I really appreciated that there wasn't one obvious favorite love interest, they all got equal attention from the author.
