Really Cute! It's high school and Hannah and Parker have been best friends for most of their lives. They know each other well. I wish I knew more about what Parker was feeling because I feel like I didn't really get to know him as well but what a great best friend he was to Hannah. Especially when she was pitching her fits. This book definitely has the teenage high school vibe going on which is perfect for this series. I'm loving this recreation of the Sweet Valley High type books. It's so much fun.

Hannah and Parker have been best friends forever and they get along so well. So when Hannah decides she needs Parker's help to get new guy, Lucas, to notice her, the fireworks fly, but not in the direction that Hannah was expecting them to go. These are great characters, although Hannah did come across as a little spoiled and bratty at times, and even admitted to her little tantrums. I also enjoyed seeing glimpses of previous characters in this story. It's like getting an extra epilogue of sorts. This series is charming, sweet, and wholesome, giving the reader flashbacks to teen life (in a good way) and bringing a smile to the face. Content: mild romance *I received a complimentary copy. If you are a YA fan, and possibly remember reading the Sweet Valley High series (years ago, I know) then I think you'd have fun picking up this book or any in the series. I've had fun seeing characters from previous books make appearances throughout the books. I love when series do that. Hannah is in love with Lucas who is one of the main characters from the first book. She thinks that she can win him over to falling for her. Of course she has to have a plan to do so. And what better plan to have than talking her best friend, Parker, into pretending to be her boyfriend to get Lucas' attention. Ha! It was cute. And can I just say that I was starting to have thoughts about a movie (from forever ago) that my friend and I used to watch and love. And whenever we played "house," we both wanted to pretend that we were both Cindy Mancini wearing a white leather jacket with fringe. Oh, I'm giggling over these memories. Does anyone know where I'm going with this one? While I was thinking about this movie a few pages later the author referenced it. It was too funny! And again brought back many memories. If you haven't figured it out, the movie is "Can't Buy Me Love!" I always forget that it stared Patrick Dempsey, way back when he was first starting out. Hannah has to have a few embarrassing moments and some moments of realization to finally figure out who she really likes. I had fun watching Parker be super patient with her and being that constant friend. So, again if you're looking for some nostalgia with this one, you have two references for that nostalgia in this cute YA read...Sweet Valley High and Can't Buy Me Love. Content: Clean. Some kissing but nothing further. I received a copy from the author. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own. Happy Reading!!!

Hannah and Parker have been friends since third grade although their home lives couldn't be more different. Hannah wants Parker (her best friend) to help her get the attention of Lucas--the rich, hot guy she has a massive crush on--even though Lucas already has a girlfriend. Hannah mistakes Parkers whispered comment that she should date him as a great idea to get Lucas' attention. Of course things don't go as Hannah planned. This is a cute best friends-fall-in-love story. When Hannah realizes her feelings for Parker may be changing she doesn't tell him because she's confused. It's Parker, her best friend since forever, but if they date and it doesn't work out she'd lose him as friend. I liked both main characters. Parker has a rough life at home unlike Hannah who can come across as a little spoiled, but he's a good kid and a great friend to Hannah. I liked the scenes of Hannah doing her service project at the senior center. She was a typical teenager and so into getting Lucas to notice her she was completely unaware of Parker's feelings for her. YA isn't a genre that I read very often, but this is the second book I've read in the Sweet Water High series. I received a complimentary copy. All thoughts expressed in this review are my own.

Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes, because it seems like one of the most realistic ways to fall in love, and because I feel a strange kinship with the men in the friend-zone. And, boy, did my heart go out to Parker. He was so funny and nerdy, and always there for our heroine- even being dragged kicking and screaming to shopping trips and parties. And somehow, even when he puts words to his feelings, she still doubts his affections for her. Very cute; a nice addition to the series (but it can also be read as a standalone). The book is not long enough to go a little deeper into some family issues it touches upon, which is a pity. It would have made for a more substantial read. The heroine is really annoying from time to time but hey, it is a high school romance, after all. You are not supposed to be the wisest at the age of 17. -‘Parker and I were best friends. That’s it. And that’s how it had to stay.’- I really enjoy these best friends to more type stories. It was cute. There were a couple of elements that were added that seemed a little disconnected and they weren’t followed through so it seemed a little bit like filler, but overall I thought it was a good story.

Perfectly short & sweet! I also felt this book had a little more substance to it than a few others in the series. I definitely enjoyed it, but then again, I'm a sucker for these clean teen romances. Perfectly short & sweet! I also felt this book had a little more substance to it than a few others in the series. Falling For My Best Friend – While this is not a favorite genre or age group for me, I found two characters in this story that were adorable. Yes, she acted a bit like the typical high schooler when it come to a certain guy she wanted, but the rest of the time she didn’t. The support characters were all good in their roles, even the Meanies. This is the second story I’ve read by Ms. Lieske and I enjoyed them both. I contacted the author to review her books. 4* Love, Snow and Mistletoe - A group of short stories by four authors. Each story has an overview, which I appreciate knowing before I read a book. Three of these authors I have read a story of theirs and I enjoyed two of them. There are sneak peeks at other books by the authors. I contacted Ms. Lieske to review LS&M. 4* Victorine Lieske, Her Fake Christmas Date - Another fun read by Ms. Lieske. Well written and engaging, with likable and loveable characters, this is a delightful story to relax with over a cuppa. 4* Tamie Dearen, Holiday Rescue - I didn't read Ms. Dearen's story since I didn't like her other stories. Michelle Pennington, A Second Chance for Christmas - I've enjoyed other stories by Ms. Pennington, but I found Grace immature in her thoughts and actions, and she ruined a good story for me. The old friend and her daughter are nice, likable characters. 3* Annie Houston, The Billionaire's Perfect Match - This is my first story by this author and I enjoyed it. The storyline was interesting and the characters were also interesting and likable. Another good story for relaxing with a cuppa and a furbaby. 4*

They spent a lot of time together, but their friendship extended further than that to genuinely caring about each other's needs and struggles. Despite the awkwardness of using Parker to make Lucas jealous, it helped display the amazing chemistry between Hannah and Parker. It just sizzled off the page. I was practically yelling at my book for Hannah to wake up and realize what she had in front of her! If you like best friends to lovers books, or are just looking for a fun cute read, you're going to love this! Content: clean (making out, no language, no violence, an adult with alcoholism)

I enjoyed this teenage romance. I actually like young adult books once in a while and I love friends to lovers type books. Hannah and Parker have been friends since the third grade. Hannah is crushing on a cute rich kid. And she is pretty clueless that her best friend has developed feelings for her. When he says under his breath that she should be dating him she thinks it is a great way to make her crush, Lucas, notice her and make him jealous. So she begs Parker to become her fake boyfriend. They are both fun characters although Hannah is really clueless about the signs her friend is giving her. She reads him so well in other areas but the only times she catches a clue she dismisses it as impossible. This is a clean, sweet read.

Sweet, clean, funny, and entertaining Parker and Hannah really clicked together well as friends and from the beginning you can see chemistry there. I couldn’t believe how blind Hannah was for how Parker felt about her but also her feelings for him. This is a good book but it isn't quite as good as the rest of the series because Hannah is just not as likable. She spends the majority of the book trying to break up another couple because she is in love with a dude just because he is super hot. And every time she starts to think about how shallow that is, rather than reconsider, she pushed her concerns away. She tells herself there must be more to it even if she can't think of why she likes him. She used her hot geeky friend to try to lure other hot guy because she thinks pretending to date her friend will make her appear dateable. It's all a little flimsy and not quite as enjoyable to read as the rest of the series. But even so, she ends up mostly redeeming herself and ultimately, I'm not sorry I read it.

This is a cute, young adult book about two best friends. Hannah and Parker decide to pretend to be boyfriend and girlfriend to get another guy, Lucas to notice Hannah. I have to say, although I enjoyed this book, I didn’t like Hannah. She knows Lucas is in a relationship, but she still wants to be with him. I won’t leave any spoilers, but if you enjoy sweet, clean reads, then this is the book for you. I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

Falling for my best friend This book was overall okay. It was a cute story. However, I feel like it could have been a lot better. The characters in my opinion weren’t very relatable. I also thought some of the storyline could have been better. I feel like this book had potential but it fell short. It also had a few editing mistakes. I would give this book a 3.4

Not worth reading I almost stopped reading this so many times. The “heroine” has to be one of the most whiny, self-absorbed, brattiest, snobbiest characters I’ve come across. 2.5 rounded to 3. I have to admit that I try to stay away from high school romance stories. They are so intense when the kids are so young that it is a concern. It makes me want to parent. Haha. Additionally, I try to stay away from “falling for the best friend” stories. I dislike how that trope requires the friend to be a total doormat and the other friend comes across as selfish and insensitive. This book had both elements that I dislike and I couldn’t overlook them.

Parker and Hannah are best friends. Parker is in love with Hannah, but she has no clue because she is obsessively trying to get Lucas' attention (even though Lucas is madly in love with his girlfriend, Charlotte). Hannah is too obsessed with Lucas to realize that the guy she's been looking for is right in front of her.

I love this trope but I couldn't stand the heroine. She was so ugh I don't know .. so unlikable and dense and irrational and kinda of stupid and annoying. I liked her development in the end where she does own up to her flaws and her irrationality but it came too late for me and we didn't really get to see her development stick. Parker definitely deserves better than her. She was such a jerk to him, making him do things he didn't want to and stringing him along (I know it was unintentional but he I love this trope but I couldn't stand the heroine. Why in the world would she try to get Lucas when he is already in a relationship?!?!? And not even a rocky relationship. Charlotte and him looked solid so why in the world would she want to be a homewrecker and break them up?! So selfish too. She claims she's in love with him but she's never had a conversation with him. She doesn't know him at all so I honestly don't understand. When Parker questions what she likes about Lucas, SHE HAD NOTHING TO SAY ... well other than he's mad cute. *rolls eyes until they fall off the back of my head* Then she acts so sweet towards Charlotte but plotting to steal her boyfriend, Charlotte who she says has been nothing but nice to her. What kind of person does that?!? Then making your best friend be your fake boyfriend when he vehemently said no just to get a guy who is already in a relationship! 2 of my favorite tropes in one book and it was just handled so poorly. I'd understand if Lucas was single and if she personally knew Lucas. And she's so self centered! Parker is having a tough life in a run down house, his mom is like pretty much absent and she cries because her dad fired her housekeeper and she has to do her laundry. Look I get that we all have problems and she did, too. Yeah her dad got demoted but he still has a job. Yeah her mom left them but she still had her loving father and her little brother. She still lives in a big house by the beach. Yeah we all got problems but some people have it worse than others and Parker had it worse than Hannah and she didn't even care because she was too busy thinking about herself. Then to yell at Parker when all he ever did was put her interests and wants first. I swear if Hannah was my friend, I'd slap the common sense into her. Let's just not be bitch to our best friends and have a little empathy. Ughhhhhh. It hurts to rate it this low because it really had all the potential. It was all there but there needs to be changes in the plot and the characters. Hannah is just too unlikable and we really don't get enough on Parker. I liked him but I wanted to like him even more. I need more pages to really see the characters and relate to them. Maybe an entire book for Hannah because never in my life have I ever been as shallow as she was. My goodness to read her drone on about like Lucas without having any reason to. I have more reasons for being in love with Jake Gyllenhaal than she does Lucas.

This book was so cute! I personally love a boy-girl friendship. They are adorable and this book only added to that adorably. It's been a little while since I read a cute YA romance, and jumping back in, this one was fast moving and I almost finished it in one sitting.
Content: This book is completely clean, besides a drunken parent and a mean girl.
I was given a ARC copy of this book by the author. Thanks Victorine!

What would you do if you found out you had feelings for your best friend? Would you tell them? Or Would you hide your feelings so that you could be forever friends? If you like this book, try out her other ones. Victorine Lieske is a wonderful writer.

For the love After awhile, I started skimming the book. Hannah and her crush over Lucas was just ridiculous to read. He was with someone else, yet she continued to plot ways to get him to leave his girlfriend. That doesn't look good on anyone! It took 75% of the book for her to come to terms with the fact that Lucas was happy with his girlfriend. And it took until 93% of the book for her to figure out her feelings for Parker. The writing was fairly solid. Hannah was just a hard character to read. For the love After awhile, I started skimming the book. Hannah and her crush over Lucas was just ridiculous to read. He called her out on her foolishness, yet turned him into the bad guy. And she was so lazy and spoiled. Heaven forbid she do her own laundry.

A cute romance This was a cute story, but I was starting to get really frustrated with Hannah by the end. I do like how everything ended though I felt like the ending was a bit rushed.

Parker and Hannah Absolutely loved this sweet YA . .Parker and Hannah are best friends but she thinks that Lucus is her dream guy . So Hannah gets Parker to play the part of a fake boyfriend to get Lucus’s attention. What can happen with this plan right . Keep the best friend and get the boy of her dreams . Is Lucus really her dream guy or his the cute boy who reads comic books . 😉 The story keeps the listener reading to the last page . Did not want to say , goodbye.
