My back hurts and my legs turned into jellies, eyes are red, semi-closed, hands are shaky- I didn’t count how many cups of black coffee I consumed after sitting at the same position at least 6 hours. I couldn’t move, I didn’t take bathroom breaks and now I’m begging my husband to carry me to there because if I take more steps I may have some kind of most humiliating bladder accident. Yes, this is occupational hazard of reading something so captivated and unputdownable, isn’t it? This is whirlwind, twisty, reality questioning, exhausting and truly smart, exciting reading. Three protagonists are flawed, keeping secrets, having obsessions, bitchy, irritating parts but you eventually start to like them because you may empathize with their damaged parts and tolerate to their weaknesses. Mackenzie seems like living a fairy-tale with a wealthy, charming husband who adores her and a beautiful 15 years old daughter Aria. But sometimes love can be suffocating especially when you’re married with some narcissistic, controlling, manipulative man who suffers from anger management issues, hiding lethally dangerous secrets. And what about her daughter: she caught her at the basement of her best friend Robin’s basement with Robin’s 18 years old son Ryan. Why were they doing? Did they have sex? Was it consensual or did Ryan drugged her daughter to take advantage of her? Robin seems like happy, married with gorgeous Grant, three kids. But why she is hiding the credit card statements from her husband and why her husband lies about his whereabouts lately. When Robin has the biggest argument with Mackanzie about their kids and the inappropriate situation she found them into, why she told her the apple didn’t fall from the tree when she’s talking about Ryan? Could their nearly two decades long friendship end with Mackenzie’s suspicions about Robin’s son? And Lily seems like negotiator, bringing out the peace as she’s struggling to gather the crumbling pieces of her life. She is nonstop drinking, popping up pills and hiding her addiction problem, acting like normal and thankful that she doesn’t deal with a husband ( They are separated) and kids like their friends do. But she also deals with the biggest secret: she truly knows whereabout of Robin’s husband Grant as he lies to his wife that he’s going to a poker game. Too many lies, too many secrets, rape, abuse, violence, betrayal, addiction, drugs, dark pasts take your attention and you became addicted this story. The author perfectly builds the high tension and as the characters’ start to spill out their secrets, the direction of the story approaches to the dead end. I’m so pleased about the conclusion, the way the characters evolved and faced the consequences of their wrongdoings and taking responsibilities about their mistakes to change their lives and the closure they get was fair and acceptable. I’m rounding up 4.5 stars rounding up to 5 and I truly recommend this book to the genre lovers. I already started to add the previous works of the author to my terrifyingly long TBR which gave me dizziness when I raise my head to look at the top point. Special thanks to Netgalley and Harper Collins /William Morrow Paperbacks for sharing this intriguing ARC with me in exchange my honest review.

Little Deadly Secrets is an unputdownable thriller. It had me on the edge of my seat since the beginning. There are so many lies and secrets in Little Deadly Secrets. It starts with murder and then goes back and then goes back nine days to what caused the murder. All the characters are very interesting and I enjoyed watching them deal with their secrets. I thoroughly enjoyed this domestic thriller. There was a bit of a Desperate Housewives vibe to the story. Fair warning though, there are some disturbing things that pop up in the story so this book might not be for every reader. For what it's worth, this book isn't quite as dark as others I have read recently. The first chapter reeled me right in. A husband is asleep in bed and his spouse has a knife on his throat. For what it's worth, this book isn't quite as dark as others I have read recently. The first chapter reeled me right in. A husband is asleep in bed and his spouse has a knife on his throat. Chapter two kicks off at nine days before that moment and you get to witness everything going on in the lives of three friends from college. The story alternates between the three women with occasional chapters featuring their family members. What's great about the story is you can't be entirely sure which husband is in the opening chapter as there is more than one possibility. There's so many secrets and lies going on with this group of characters so while you might have a theory, you do have to wait awhile before the author starts revealing her hand. I think some characters were better developed than others. In terms of wrapping everything up, one character got the shorter end of the stick. I don't think any of the three friends were all that likable but it didn't matter to me as I was still interested in their messy lives. While the book is probably best read for the entertainment value, there is some substance to the story which is always an added bonus. Recommend if you like reading domestic thrillers and/or are looking for a page turner of a read. I received a free copy of this book from William Morrow. All views expressed are my honest opinion.

3 With Friends Like These Stars This one has a spectacular opening chapter and goes on to introduce us to three women have been friends since college – Mackenzie, Robin, and Lily – but they all have secrets they keep. These women have some serious issues, including domestic violence, drug addiction, and infidelity. I admit that I had a bit of a hard time keeping track of the characters in this one. There were definitely some twists along the way, but I didn’t really get invested in any of the characters enough to root for them. There was one situation that didn’t ring true for me with a teenage daughter at a family party. I don’t want to divulge what happened, but I would have done so much more as the mother. This was first read from this author and I see a lot of 5 star review for this one, it didn’t quite measure up for me. 4.5 bright stars! Wow!! What a great read this book was!! Crane is quickly becoming one of my favorite thriller writers! This is the second book of hers I've read in the past year and I've loved both of them! I absolutely loved this book. There were certain elements to this that could be classified as more family drama than a thriller, but the complexity, depth and deviousness to her characters make her novels incredibly thrilling and intense, IMO. Lots of POV’s from lots of characters made it a little confusing at times. The three lead characters are relatable, one with a dark past, one who tolerates her husband’s abuse, and another one who barely has time for herself, yet she got cheated on. I like that this book also has the views of the three children; Ryan, Willow, and Aria. I think we shouldn’t misjudge our children because we believe they are younger, and they don’t know any better because we can also learn from them. This book is captivating and mind-blowing that pulled me in from start to finish

A solid relationship can suddenly turn to liquid and drown you in its deceptions and betrayals. This story is intrigue and mystery on another level. Everyone has a secret on top of another secret, etc. The hole gets deeper and deeper, and at some point, it has to stop, right? Stop digging and climb out is my philosophy! I love the female bonds and kinship in the story. True friends are hard to find, but lifelong friends are virtually impossible. This story will make your head spin with twists and turns, and it will pull you right in from start to finish. This is how you write domestic suspense! Three BFF’s since college are all living in the same community as married adults, and all three have secrets. Their husbands have secrets, their children have secrets, everybody has a damn secret 🤫 There’s murder, mystery, lies, betrayal and on top of all that, great writing. There’s plenty of over-the-top drama but there’s also some serious subjects tackled as well, like addiction, domestic violence, and sexual assault. I listened to this in one sitting. She has woven into this tale thought provoking issues such as rape, abuse and family dysfunction. All the characters are fully flushed out and shown "warts" and all. At times, it was hard to like any of them, but they were authentic. Pamela Crane is a new to me author, but I will be looking for more of her novels. I have secrets, he has secrets, she has secrets, WE ALL HAVE SECRETS! Seriously, in this book, I think the kids under 10 years of age were the only ones not keeping secrets, but they were probably hiding something under their beds. Lily, Mackenzie, and Robin have been best friends since college. Although each woman is very different, they have stood beside each other through all the changes and challenges of life. Now in their forties, Robin and Mackenzie have their husbands and children, and Li I have secrets, he has secrets, she has secrets, WE ALL HAVE SECRETS! Now in their forties, Robin and Mackenzie have their husbands and children, and Lily has her career, but the three friends are faced with events that may destroy their friendships. The web of secrets and lies is certainly a sorted one in this story. Present-day betrayals and mistakes result in digging up past sins as well. Friends are now set on revenge and someone will not make it out alive. Pamela Crane does a seamless job of entangling, not only these three friends together, but their families as well. The opening chapter grabbed me but left me needing more, so I flew through this one. The ending might be a bit too tidy for me, but I didn’t feel it detracted from the story. Although the book is full of betrayal and lies, please be aware that there are some heavier subjects broached in this story: rape, spousal abuse, adultery, and addiction. Thank you to @williammorrowbooks for this copy for review. All opinions are mine.

*4.5 stars* Holy smokes! This was one wild, secret filled, FAST-PACED thriller. Right away, this sucks you in (I'm talking like 5 pages in) and just keeps getting crazier. The title is VERY fitting. I could not put this down and was struggling to keep up with all the truth bombs being dropped. But in a good thriller way! This does cover some heavy content (trigger warnings beware) and just about all the characters are super unlikeable at times. This was one of those type of thrillers I almost wanted to to slow down for a minute so I could catch my breath! I'm still processing how I feel about the ending. I liked it but yet I feel it was wrapped up quite quickly and I just don't know how I feel about a couple of the relationships. Overall, I really enjoyed this insane and twisty thriller that had me on the edge of my seat. The different characters POVs kept me constantly wanting more. It was like watching the show Desperate Housewives but darker! It's full of LOTS of secrets, scandals and toxic relationships! I didn't see the twists coming! 🙌 If you like fast paced domestic thrillers, READ THIS ONE. *Trigger Warning: Rape, Cheating, Abuse, toxic marriage*
