4.5 stars This is actually five short stories. Not sure why Audible chose to do it that way, but I'm excited for any new Tom Stranger. "Awesome weather and free stuff FOREVER!!!!" Bonus points for mentioning Leo Moracchioli (though I prefer Africa to No Scrubs) and the vague Sad Puppies reference. Great narration. Most of the comments and likes below were in reference to my original 5 star pre-release review: "I don't like rating books before their release, but some butthurt snowflake rated it one st 4.5 stars This is actually five short stories. Excellent customer service and satisfaction, I will happily give Tom a 10 on his satisfaction survey. 1 star reviews from the minions of Conundrum should be ignored for the benefit of all dimensions. Hooooooooooooon

This book is often funny and always absurd, with book 2 opening with Tom Stranger trying to come to grips with some strangers not having given his first book top ratings which is unacceptable to a man devoted to always giving top quality service. (He mistakenly believes that low ratings came from dolphins he inadvertently insulted in the first book.) From there the madcap adventure spirals across several dimensions as Tom and his crew struggle to save a manatee (and thus advert interdimensional war), find a spy in their own midst, avert the apocalypse on our planet, and finally become #1 in Customer Service for the fourth year running. It’s an irreverent romp that stomps on all political persuasions and it’s a great read for anyone capable of not taking politics and the world too seriously. Funny, very tongue in cheek and oddly cynical. Oh and the audibook was good too. You follow the mini-adventures of Tom Strangers in a format I can only describe as web-episode length. Now I am removing one star because there is only so much pop culture vomit one girl can take but I really did wish the multiverse was expended beyond obvious digs at current political/pop affairs. Hell we only get two seconds in the 50 shades dominated earth, could have milked that one a bit. In the end this is a fun, goofy little romp that doesn't take anything seriously. Puts it's foot in it's mouth quite often and hops around on one foot from time to time too. Not a bad way to spend a credit or a rainy afternoon.

4.5 stars lowered to 4 as reserve 5 for something I have read more than once or will read again. Although I did read/listen to one of novellas in this collection twice. Hmm, may have to come back and up the rating. Needed a break from the doom and gloom of what I have been reading this year (as well as from real news) and this delivered. Read The Adventures of Tom Stranger several years ago, was able to pick this up on an Audible sale so score. An expansion of his earlier work including those stories as well. The humor is broad, silly, and at times hilarious in this comic SF set of stories. I enjoyed them for that. I found making fun of liberal progressive people and policies funny at some times and a bit much at others. If you won't be offended by the near reactionary conservatism these are funny stories well worth the listen for a laugh.

If you don’t get satire, this book is not for you. If you can’t laugh at American ideology on both sides of the aisle, this book is not for you. If you can laugh at yourself and your ideologies, you will love this book. And Adam Baldwin does a superb job on the audio book.

I wish I could think of a way to say how much I loved these books while still making a comment snarky enough (or asinine enough) to be read aloud at the next customer service focus group...

Super enjoyable listen on audible. It’s funny, easy to follow while doing things like driving or dishes... a little(? Lot) bit derivative of Douglas Adams but with more contemporaneous product placements that might make this irrelevant in the future. But for now, stuck in quarantine, I really have enjoyed breaking up my serious reading with some breaks for “space trash” as I like to call it... is that a legit genre? Maybe humorous sci-fi would be more descriptive.

We have all enjoyed programs where the fourth wall gets broken. In this ongoing series of stories Larry Correia shatters that wall. How else can you describe a story where the author is a character, actually a couple of characters? Or where the narrator reads about himself in the third person? While time travelling through alternate dimensions? Where bad guys have other versions of themselves that are even more evil? With goatees? Hitler brains in jars? Spoil sport Dolphins? Bad ass Manatees? I could go on, but you probably just would not believe me. So it is with Tom Stranger. The most unusual insurance agent you would ever be so fortunate to get coverage from. In this collection of all the stories previously written along with new material, the author puts his tongue in his cheek and just goes for it. There is nothing sacred, both sides of the political spectrum get kicked in the groin, and the audience can forget about its cares for a while and just laugh at the absurdity of it all. What a treat this was. Made all the more so by the admirable reading of Adam Baldwin. (You have to hear his princes voice. Trust me) This stuff is laugh out load funny and just leaves you wanting more. In summary if you like Larry, or even if you do not, have a listen to this audible exclusive. You will be in good hands.

After reading "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy, I needed a light-hearted read, so I picked up this fun little romp through the universe. This audiobook is a series of shortstories that are heavily padded with pop-culture references and humor (Trump, AOC, Green New Deal, Chico State College, Gender Studies Majors, Larry Correia the writer, Petco, Pirates of the Caribbean, Danny Devito, Global Warming, Bovine flatulence, Blockbuster, participation trophies, Borders, Waffle House, and a lot more). Some of it is very funny, but I think it's best consumed in bite size portions. I laughed a decent amount in the beginning, but the later short stories became just more of the same. I did appreciate the conservative political humor because it's so rare to come across this sort of thing, but I recommend taking your time to read it. I was constantly laughing at the "gender studies major" humor. That joke delivered without fail.

This audiobook contains 5 short satirical stories, narrated by Adam Baldwin AKA Jayne from Firefly. "The Adventures of Tom Stranger, Interdimensional Insurance Agent" This one definitely made me laugh out loud the most. I loved the pop culture references and tongue-in-cheek humor. It just feels so..... random. Less Deus ex machina, more "bullshit ex machina". And I'd happily let that go and consider it just a silly string of short stories, except that Correia takes himself so seriously throughout the books (especially as he inserts himself as multiple integral characters and comparing himself to Stephen King) as to make it utterly ridiculous and moronic. It feels like someone's private #sorandom fanfic accidentally got published.

So much fun! Get it. Pipe it into your earholes. Do it now! In the desolate, samey wasteland of lefty fiction, Tom Stranger is the hero we need, but don’t deserve. If that’s not enough for you, consider that it is narrated by Adam Baldwin—Firefly’s Jayne Cobb! This collection added a couple new Tom Stranger stories and gave me a chance to relive the old ones. Stay away if you don’t like stuff that’s too political, otherwise highly recommended!

I loved the original audiobook, and really enjoyed the sequel. This edition adds a couple short stories and a novella, all of which are thoroughly enjoyable. If you enjoyed the original, it's definitely worth getting the omnibus, revisiting Tom Stranger's world, and hearing a few more tales of the intrepid interdimensional insurance agent.
