Fortunately, I have been a very dedicated follower of Mr. Joseph Powell for awhie, but this exciting western masterpiece is definitely one of his best. Deputy David is an excellent example of an old western law enforcement officer, as he pulls no punches as he definitely believes in justice, when solving some of the most compelling cases a lawman may encounter! Most definitely a five star representation of realistic old western folklore adventures that has plenty of heartwarming, yet suspenseful episodes to appease anyone's expectations of how our West may have truly been conquered! Outstanding storylines that touches anyone's heartstrings immediately, and enough gunfights to maintain your undivided attention from beginning to end. The character selections could not have been any better than those depicted throughout the entire book. They most certainly lied up to their assigned roles! A town congested with fear fails to assist David in his quest to restore some sense of peacefulness, and with one Deputy, who wasn't too brave to assist, things really it hairy for awhile. Unexpected assistance finally attempted to support his efforts and all's well that ends well! Outstanding camaraderie once again persevere and true justice one again served, restores peace and tranquility! Definitely recommend this compassionately motivated story to all readers, regardless of your desired reading habits, as I assure you to be happy you made the decision to respond to my recommendation. You western folklore reader's will, most certainly, be thrilled with your decision to respond to my recommendation, I assure you!😁

Sheriff to a town afraid of a family of outlaws This is such a gripping story. So many people have lived in terror from the Morgan family. A family of criminals capable of murder rapes and robberies without blinking an eye. I could not put it down. The twists and turns take you through suspense and mysteries. This sheriff is their hero.

Great story...... Series is well thought out and flows smoothly. Love the subtle tie ins from book to book without the unnecessary repetition of pages from previous books as some authors do. One of the few authors I've read that have superb editing where I don't find I have to "translate" the words, author's meaning or intent!

Great Western Read Another good western read by Joseph Powell. The book has lots of action with gunfights between the bad guys and the sheriff's. The sheriff even managed to find love in the middle of it all.

Action Packed This is a true western shoot-'em-up tale of a town controlled by a band of outlaws and the new sheriff determined to protect the townspeople. There is a love interest, too, making it the perfect story.

Interesting story and easy to read. I appreciate the story being written without a bunch of cussing in it. I also appreciate the story referring to the people of that day praying and believing in God. Thank you for that. It made the story seem real.

Searching for Justice This is a good read that shouldn't be read in parts , but is too long to read a one sitting. As it was written by a more modern writer it's complex and a bit gory bit stop holds your interest.

Justice indeed This one is an excellent new twist on an old theme. When those with no ethics take control of those with little courage things get ugly.

Very unbelievable trash western. Not like a sheriff would do in the west. Author is losing his touch. I don't recommend at all to anyone.
