Don't Keep Silent is the third and final installment of the Uncommon Justice Books and was a great addition to the series. I have enjoyed all of the books that involve the McKade brothers of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Liam is a former Marine and DEA agent who was working undercover with the agency when he was injured saving Rae Burke, an investigative journalist working on a story involving trafficking women. He was working on a case to arrest the same man that Rae was investigating when Rae was put in danger and he saved her. Now, Liam is back at the family ranch, recovering and helping out his brother Heath, who has improved the ranch and turned it into a place for guests to visit and tour the wilderness in the area. Rae Burke is thrown back into her old investigative mode when her sister in law Zoey goes missing and Rae's brother/Zoey's husband asks Rae to help find her while he stays home with their autistic young daughter. Zoey is from the Jackson Hole area where Liam is now living so Rae enlists his help because she knows that she can trust him since he saved her before. It is thought that Zoey could be in the area. The two have an action packed time of dangerous incidents where someone is trying to let them know that they are getting too close. As the two work to get answers, their former attraction to each other is rekindled. This is a page turner with a great story full of suspense with twists and turns that kept me guessing who of the suspects are involved in this complicated mystery. I highly recommend it. Don’t Keep Silent is the third book in the Uncommon Justice series and I very much enjoyed reading it! Liam has appeared throughout this series either through conversation between his brothers or in the flesh, so to speak, but this was the first book where he was actually a main character. He had always seemed standoffish and it was wonderful to get inside his head. He was also a man who had many emotional wounds and it seemed that more than a few of them came from his history with Rae Burke. He had always seemed standoffish and it was wonderful to get inside his head. He was also a man who had many emotional wounds and it seemed that more than a few of them came from his history with Rae Burke. Liam and Rae had a complicated history and I was most curious in finding out the whole story about what had transpired between them. It was quite clear that at one point there had been a love interest between them but that had gone down in flames after a serious event that had many far-reaching consequences. Given their history, the only reason that Rae ended up searching Liam out was because she was in desperate need of assistance and the only reason that Liam agreed to help was that he wanted answers. I loved reading Don’t Keep Silent because both Rae and Liam were relatable characters who were earnest in their hunt for the truth. The mystery was quite thrilling and there were moments of edge of your seat action and suspense that had me turning the pages as fast as I could! There were also moments of such sweet sincerity between these characters, a very inspirational meeting of minds and hearts. Overall, Don’t Keep Silent was a compelling story that, in addition to being a clean read, had an intriguing and suspenseful mystery at the heart of it! The complimentary receipt of it in no way affected my review or rating.

The action and adventure keep readers captivated in the storyline as they try to piece together the clues of the puzzle along with Rae and Liam. Trying to find his way after leaving the DEA, he runs into Reagan Burke, the investigative reporter who almost cost him his life. But how could he resist helping her find her missing sister-in-law when she asked? Maybe his heart hadn't healed after all. What I always like about Goddard's writing is she keeps your nose to the pages with her fast-paced stories. This one picked up speed after about the halfway mark, but that certainly doesn't mean it was slow up to that point. She laid the foundation for a good storyline in the first half so that the reader could anticipate what was going to happen. Kind of like watching a scary movie where your adrenaline was pumping hard! I liked these characters, they had depth to them and I think Goddard did a great job of making them seem real. There's a good balance of suspense and romance; I loved watching it play out between Liam and Rae. They have a lot to overcome, killers to catch, death to defy, danger to avoid and a missing person to find. Oh and the scenery was breathtaking! I'm not a skier but I could see the beauty of “cowboy powder”, the fresh snow on top of a mountain, undisturbed with an undercurrent of danger that Goddard included. The bitter cold and snow just added to the already tense story; I could literally feel it in my bones! This book is labeled as Christian fiction and I found it to contain a very light faith thread. I guess maybe I'm different than some readers in the fact that I like it stronger in the stories I read. But this did contain enough of an element that you could tell both Liam and Rae did serve God & rely on Him when danger mounted. I just wished it would have played out a bit more! Who could understand why life unraveled beneath them? No one. She wouldn't ask the creator of the universe why, because there would be no way to comprehend His answer. All she could do was trust Him to make a way for her. To hold her in the palm of His hand. ~Rae All in all, if you are a romantic suspense fan who loves a tense book, one that you have a hard time putting down, I think you will enjoy Don't Keep Silent ! Though this is the third and final book in the Uncommon Justice series, this is perfectly fine reading by itself. Of course, I always recommend reading the whole series, it's just too good to miss! *I received a complimentary copy from Revell on the authors' behalf and was not obligated to leave a favorable review. Loved this intensely suspenseful and action packed adventure wrapped between the pages of a book! “Her father had told her it was his responsibility to speak up. “Don’t keep silent,” Reagan has taken his words to heart trying to right the world of evil. Determined to speak for those who can’t speak and for those whose stories go untold, she longs to bring truth and justice to the world. However, she never expects danger to land on her doorstep when her sister-in-law disappears. Searching for the truth, Rae won’t stop until she finds answers. I absolutely loved this third book in the Uncommon Justice series. The McKade brothers all show up for brief glimpses, but this book centers around Liam. The intrigue, suspense and romance read like a rollercoaster ride with masked danger at every turn for this couple. As the thread of criminal activity unfolds, the past and present steamrolls into riveting and chilling suspense. Through it all, the tenacity of this couple drew my heart. There is a heavy theme that is tough to watch play out, but it is handled so well. Seeing glimpses of the McKade family brought happy closure to the series and brought out Liam’s past and present. I loved his character and a lot of questions are answered from his background with the DEA. Raegan’s character was full of grit and determination that I found refreshing. “This is what I would call an extreme stakeout. But given DEA agent/cowboy Liam McKade, she shouldn’t expect anything less.” The sparks really fly between these two as they wear their hearts on the edge of their sleeves. The snarky comments and adventures these two go on really bring the book to life. I love their deep desire for answers and finding truth. The protectiveness of Liam with Rae give this book a swoony feel, even as they struggle with the past and future. I would have liked to see a little more background story for this couple, but overall I thought it was great seeing them work through trust issues and where their future would go. “God, you’re here in this place. In the stars above. In the mountains and the woods, smiling down at me from heaven and here with me now, closer than I can understand.” Another aspect I enjoy about Goddard’s writing is how she brings God into the story with ease. Liam’s search for direction in his prayers drew my heart. His desire to forgive Rae, but not wanting to open his heart again. Rae struggles with her guilt over what happened between Liam and her in the past. As Rae searches for her sister-in-law, she leans more on God. I love her heart for searching out truth. She has that journalistic drive that at times makes you want to strangle her for not listening to Liam. However, it definitely amped up the adventure making for a fantastic read. This mystery will keep you guessing who is involved right to the end. A great read! I would recommend this book for anyone who loves romantic suspense. If you love Irene Hannon and Dee Henderson, you will love Elizabeth Goddard. It could be read as a standalone. However, the other books in the series would add more depth to the characters. I received a copy of this book through NetGalley by the publisher, Revell. The opinions given in this review are my own and given honestly.

“Don’t Keep Silent”, by Elizabeth Goddard, is a continuation of the Uncommon Justice series following on from the previous two books. It focuses on Liam McKade, the last of the three brothers in this series. You don’t need to have read the other two books but I loved them so I’d recommend it! Liam is the quiet and opaque brother. He is highly trained having been in the military and the DEA. He is deeply loyal and intelligent but his patience is tested when he runs into Rae Burke, the investigative reporter who used him, blew his cover and broke his heart. Rae is passionate, determined, impulsive and scared. The combination drives her to seek Liam out, despite their history, to help her hunt for missing sister-in-law . Liam realises the only way to prevent harm coming to Rae is to help her and the two find themselves in the midst of a situation far more sinister and wide-reaching than either anticipated. As in the previous two novels, the mystery is intriguing, complex and surprising. It kept me guessing to the end! Suspenseful, I found the pages flying by, eager to read what would happen yet. The supporting characters are well-rounded and interesting, they add substantially to the realism of the story. Both Rae and Liam have a deep faith in God in spite of the difficult circumstances and the dark underworld they have both fought to expose. The whole series is a delight to read if you enjoy suspense romance! I loved it, it’s a five out of five on the enJOYment scale.

That's my favorite part of the book is learning what they do and how they do it. I've watched a lot of shows like this but I think I'd rather read about it. Indeed money is the root of all evil. Always has been, I think it's in how people use it. Liam and Rae certainly have a lot to overcome but I was rooting for them through the entire story. I think that if things were meant to be God would certainly orchestrate it wouldn't He? I like to think so. I've really enjoyed this series and I hope there's more to come. Don’t Keep Silent by Elizabeth Goddard is one of those books that would’ve quickly drawn my attention at any bookstore. The title piqued my interest, and when I read the synopsis the first time, there was no question in my mind—Don’t Keep Silent was the next book on my “to read” list, and I pushed all the others aside. I don’t regret the decision, not for a second…and I don’t miss the sleep I lost, either. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a book keep me up past midnight because I didn’t want Don’t Keep Silent by Elizabeth Goddard is one of those books that would’ve quickly drawn my attention at any bookstore. The title piqued my interest, and when I read the synopsis the first time, there was no question in my mind—Don’t Keep Silent was the next book on my “to read” list, and I pushed all the others aside. I don’t regret the decision, not for a second…and I don’t miss the sleep I lost, either. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a book keep me up past midnight because I didn’t want to put it down. Don’t Keep Silent did just that, and I didn’t hesitate to read it till I finished it the next morning. I had to know what happened to Liam McKade and Raegan Burke. For the first time in months, I found myself saying, “I’ll go to sleep after I read just one more chapter.” One chapter turned to two…then five…and before I knew it, I’d read ten, and I was awake long past when I meant to be. Rae and Liam have a complicated relationship from the very beginning of the novel. As an investigative reporter who doesn’t know when to quit, Rae has gotten herself into some tough scrapes over the years—including one which almost cost former DEA agent Liam McKade his life. He never wanted to see her again, but when she crashes into his life in the snowy outback of Wyoming to search for her sister-in-law, he can’t let her conduct her investigations alone. That decision leads them to a thrilling—and dangerous—adventure of sometimes uncovering more questions than answers, while simultaneously attempting to deny the romantic sentiments swirling in both their hearts. Don’t Keep Silent was the first book by Elizabeth Goddard I had ever read, and I will be reading more. I loved Rae’s perseverance. The most important thing to her was her family; she wanted to bring her sister-in-law home safe. Liam was irritable at first, as I think he should have been. But he didn’t let the negatives of the past impact the present. He was determined to help Rae and protect her, as long as she let him. That was what I found most endearing. There was rarely a scenario when he said, “Let me do this for you, Rae.” Rather, he didn’t attempt to stop her; instead, he asked “What can I do to help?” He didn’t always try to be the proverbial hero on a white horse. He let Rae pick her battles, and then he went into the trenches with her instead of for her. The novel was a fast-paced, never-ending spiral that kept me guessing at every page-turn. I loved how Goddard presented the romance. It wasn’t overwhelming, nor did it seem like the main purpose of the story. I will make this note—I read books for their stories, not for trying to figure out the plot’s mysteries before they occur. A more observant reader probably would’ve put all the pieces together long before I did, which for some, may make Don’t Keep Silent somewhat predictable. There were also a few occasions in which I felt the “clues” were farfetched and the dangerous scenarios forced. The book had some plot holes that I still find myself struggling to answer. Overall, though, Don’t Keep Silent was a book I thoroughly enjoyed and won’t hesitate to recommend to my friends. If you like novels with intrigue, thrills, and romance all wrapped up in one, this is definitely a book for you. *Note: I received an ARC of this book from the publisher for my honest review.

Interestingly I had also requested a copy through Interviews & Reviews, that extra book will be going to my mother for her birthday at the end of the month. She is in for a treat. Elizabeth Goddard is certainly no newbie at this romantic suspense genre. She’s serious, intense, and doesn’t hold back on the action – at least in this thrilling, exciting, and engaging story. This is the first one I’ve read by her; and in anticipation of it – I got the two previous novels: “Never Let Go” and “Always Look Twice”. I haven’t had a chance to read them, so I can’t say how well connected the books are. But, I can say that Goddard isn’t going to remain a new-to-me author for long. “Don’t Keep Silent” is the third and final installment of the Uncommon Justice series which features brothers Austin, Heath, and Liam McKade. Obviously, this is Liam’s story and can easily read as a standalone novel. However, I am sure once a reader sees the connection; they might go ahead and read them in order. As someone who LOVES Romantic-Suspense reads, I had to sign up for the tour. Not knowing if I was approved, I asked for a copy through Interviews & Reviews, and very glad I did! The covers of the books in the series are similar, only the font has different colors and the “women” featured are to correspond to the particular romantic interest/heroine in the story. Revell has a way of designing covers that immediately pop right out and, for me, grab my attention. I’ve rarely been disappointed with a Revell read. This installment is told in third person from Rae and Liam’s perspectives. And, Goddard doesn’t hold back – I already said that – but that is essential to remember! Right off this book starts in a shocking manner! Even the first chapter was thrilling. So much so, I could barely take notes. The action, the secrets – the vivid and descriptive writing really set this one off with a bang! This is a definitely a pulse-pounding, rapid-pace, action-packed wild ride. That didn’t surprise me from the blurb. But, there were times I was absolutely SHOCKED! Just blown completely away! It didn’t stop. IT-DOES-NOT-STOP. Goddard’s writing style kept me interested and the pace/action moving so rapidly I often had to stop to catch my breath. Some of the chapters were short, so obviously moving on with another one was easy to do. While head-spinning at times, it wasn’t that confusing. If there were plot holes, I wouldn’t have noticed them. I appreciate the smaller chapters as I can read through a book a lot faster. Then, there were times I just couldn’t put the book down. There weren’t that many characters so it wasn’t too hard to keep up with who was related to who. However, some of the supporting characters I had strong feelings about because of how they kept dropping off with regard to interaction. Brad, Reggie, Sheriff Taggart, Ivan – even Zoey’s mom Samara wasn’t free from seeming like a suspect, especially when it came down to the mysterious book packages. I have to admit, I had NO idea what was going on until the last few chapters, some if it I wouldn’t have guessed. There was a lot of character development between Liam and Rae, who already had a past run-in when it came to a human trafficking case. And, that comes right back to this story. Again, as I have not read the other two books – I can’t say how well their plots play into this one or if those previous books set this one up. These books are DEFINITELY on the TBR list. When Goddard isn’t keeping us wound up with action – we’ve got secrets flying around from all directions: Callie, Zoey’s little daughter, has one; the books and Samara; even Alan, Zoey’s husband seems like a good suspect; what about Zoey’s step-dad?? No one and nothing is off the table with this story. The way Goddard writes this – you begin to wonder if Callie’s past was tied into it, perhaps Alan’s past, is Zoey really even innocent? And, that is just in that group. The author also weaves in the pain and torture of a missing loved one – what the family is put through by investigators as well as the psychological trauma from the loss that is in their own homes. It’s made even worse when one of the family members has special needs such as Autism (Callie). So there is not just an entertainment element to this story, but a human element. The connection between Rae/Liam was cemented from the beginning, even prior to the story. And, watching them working together and at times him rescuing her, was a beautiful relationship. This story also had a few other journeys in it – Liam’s was trying to learn where he belonged and what he wanted to do. Rae’s journey was in getting to the bottom of stories, particularly ones like human trafficking. Being the voice for the voiceless, speaking up, and the responsibility of “don’t keep silent” when you see/hear something wrong. She wanted to please her late father. This is a worthy conclusion to what seems like a fascinating series. This is a clean read distributed by Revell – no sex talk and no foul language. There are bible quotes, but the religious and faith themed tones are respectful, and it is not integral to the scene or preachy in nature. This book is written more for those who have read and enjoy Christian/faith themed Romantic Suspense books as well as fans of the author, especially those who’ve read the previous two books in the series. So, I would definitely recommend it to them.

Investigative reporter Rae Burke will do anything to find her missing sister-in-law, even if it means facing Liam McKade, a man who almost lost his life saving hers." If the front cover doesn't make you want to read this book, maybe the back cover will. This book is so good; I just keep coming back to it. Just don't start this one if you want to get any sleep! Rae Burke is an investigative reporter and it's in her blood. Her father was a great reporter up until he got killed and Rae feels compelled to tell the story of those who can't speak for themselves. But this time, it's personal. Her sister-in-law and best friend, Zoey is missing. Her brother, Alan, is asking her to investigate. There is no way that she would leave her 4 year old autistic daughter. But searching for Zoey means heading back to the place that has caused her the most pain. Jackson Hole, Wyoming. The place where Liam McKade had saved her life. The place where Rae had blown his cover as an undercover DEA agent. But this is for Alan, Zoey, and Callie. The problem is Zoey can't be found anywhere - not even on paper. It seems that Zoey isn't her real name and while Rae had known she had secrets, she didn't know her background. Liam had left his job with the DEA and had come back to Jackson Hole, to the ranch his brother owned. So far he didn't feel like he fit in there, but at an interview for a ski resort owned by his good friend, he spots HER again. He hadn't ever wanted to see her again, but when she apologizes for what happened and asks for his help, he finds he can't turn her down no matter what the past did to his heart. As Rae and Liam search for answers in Zoey's disappearance, they find themselves inexplicably drawn to danger once again. They also find themselves drawn to each other too, but neither of them want to dwell on that. Rae's focus is to find Zoey but digging deep into her past only brings them more answers. As the suspense ratchets up and Rae's life is put into danger, even she has fears about continuing to investigate, but when Liam voices his concern, she tells him that that's why she has him, "to keep her safe from monsters and the bad guys." But when the bad guys become the monsters of her dreams, she and Liam are both forced to face their feelings for each other and their faith in a loving God. "God, you're here in this place. In the stars above. In the mountains and the woods, smiling down at me from Heaven and here with me now. Closer than I can understand." This is probably my favorite quote from the book although it was hard to pick just one. The faith journey that Liam and Rae are both set on is exciting and the setting of the book almost becomes a separate character when both Liam and Rae have to battle the wild elements around them. I loved the tenacity and courage we see from Rae. She is willing to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. In this story, she is very much face to face with the monsters of the past. Liam is quiet, reserved, and not sure where he finds himself in this stage in life. But as he is forced to reckon with his past as well, he becomes the hero that Rae remembers. This book takes you on such a roller coaster ride of suspense, I literally could not put it down! It's books like these that stick in your craw and don't let you forget them. This third and final installment in the Uncommon Justice series brings everything to a close. I rarely re-read books but keep finding myself coming back to this one. It is literally that good. The tension between Rae and Liam is palpable and though I find that I can sometimes figure out a good mystery, this one had me guessing until the very end. While you can read this book as a stand alone, it does help to have already read the other two books in this series about Liam's brothers. The second book especially gives some insight into Rae and Liam's past. If you love great romantic suspense, don't miss this one!!! Elizabeth Goddard is an author that I don't even have to know what the book is about, I know it's going to be good! I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher, Revell, through the author and was not required to write a favorable review. All thoughts and opinions about this book are solely mine.

Suspense writing, especially in a series has to carry not only a good story but have plenty of action too. This series, thus far has been pretty good but I just felt that this one wasn’t as suspenseful and mysterious as the first two. I did, however, like it well enough to read it all the way to the end with little stopping. This book begins a few months after the last one with the disappearance of Rae Burke’s sister-in-law, Zoey. She is happily married to Rae’s brother Alan and they have a sweet little girl who is on the Autism spectrum and is the light of Zoey’s life. So why did Zoey leave without word to anyone? Or was she taken for some reason? Rae recalls that there was some trouble for Zoey during their college days but she didn’t ask about it then because Zoey didn’t seem to want to talk about it. But Alan has asked Rae to do what he can’t and search for Zoey. Rae’s last investigative story almost got her and a DEA agent killed but she can’t ignore her brother’s pleas, even if it means seeking out Liam McKade and begging him to forgive and help her. Liam has recovered rather well after being shot and almost dying but he’s still not ready to forget what Rae did. Not only did she lie to him but her lies also caused his injury and blew his undercover role in a major drug case. He has since left the DEA and has been offered a couple jobs but hasn’t settled on which one will be the best fit for his future. When Rae shows up looking for help with finding Zoey, Liam has to face his past hurts and decide if he will let them go or lose his chance with Rae forever. While he considers forgiveness, Liam does agree to help look for Zoey. To find Zoey before it’s too late, they will have to sort through all the clues and fight against both the winter elements and someone who will do anything to keep their secrets hidden. Can they also find a way to move beyond the pain of the past and find a future together? To make that happen, both of them will have to learn what true forgiveness and love look like and how to let both into their lives. The plot lines of the story were pretty good and easy to follow. I just wish everything had flowed a bit faster and had a little more umph like the first two books. I don’t know if it was the longer conversations or just the scattered feeling I got trying to keep everything straight. I’ve heard it said on a couple of book seller sites that this can be a stand alone story but I don’t think that’s really possible. You really need to know the history of the others in the story to have a complete understanding of the main characters and their conflict. I did like that the book was based in the Grand Teton National Park, one of my favorite vacation places I’ve been. I could see all the places they were talking about in my mind as they went to each of them so that was a nice inclusion. So, in spite of the somewhat slower action and flow of plot, I will still be recommending this book, more for the series than this story, to others who enjoy suspense-styled, clean books. Looking forward to the next from Ms. Goddard and hopeful that I will enjoy that story better. I received this temporary complimentary E-book from Revell Publishing via NetGalley in order to provide a fair and honest review. I will receive no fiscal compensation for this review and the opinions expressed herein are entirely my own.

All thoughts below are my own and I was not required to post a positive review. Goddard Dazzles Readers With A Breathtaking, Snowy Location And Edge Of Your Seat Suspense, Both Leaving Readers Breathless And Devouring The Pages In This Thrilling New Mystery. From the stunning cover to the fast-paced action, Goddard keeps her readers easily enthralled with the story of investigative reporter Rae Burke and former DEA Agent Liam McKade as they team up to work together in the search for Rae’s missing sister-in-law, Zoey. With danger at every turn and the clock ticking away, can these two find the missing woman before it’s too late? I thoroughly enjoyed reading the two previous books in the Uncommon Justice series and eagerly looked forward to this newest book, which did not disappoint. The tension in the beginning between these two well-formed characters is pretty intense and for good reason. As the story unfolds, the narrative reveals little bits and pieces about the connection Rae and Liam had over a year ago that nearly cost Rae her life and did cost Liam his undercover career with a bullet in his leg. As Rae throws herself into the investigation of her sister-in-law’s disappearance and Liam battles his own recovery and purpose in life, these two find purpose in their lives together. The plot in this novel is on point and very dramatic. This story moves quickly, keeps readers guessing and is mysteriously eventful. I loved the edge-of-your-seat scenes paralleled with the re-budding romance between Rae and Liam. Goddard kept me guessing and about half way through the book, really drew me in when the plot thickened and the suspense kicked it up a notch. The setting was incredible, as Goddard paints a beautiful visual of the Wyoming mountains surrounding the popular resort area of Jackson Hole. The internal thoughts of the characters is well balanced with dialogue which makes for a great read. While I do wish the romance was a bit more passionate and forthcoming, one particular scene between Rae and Liam offered me my favorite quote from the book. There are also some faith-based elements strewn throughout the story that are light and inspirational, but not overpowering. Lastly, Goddard wraps up this story in a can’t-turn-the-pages-fast-enough ending that is surprising, fantastic and deliciously dramatic, leaving readers satisfied. Overall, this is a clean romantic suspense that is appropriate for ages 16+. The mystery is well-planned and the book is exciting. My only wish for this book would have been that the backstory to Rae and Liam was shared right up front, in detail, and that Goddard better balanced the intensity with which Liam dreaded Rae’s insertion back into his life with his falling for her again to make it a bit more believable. It was hard to know what was going on inside his head when the words that came out of his mouth held so much disdain. His actions spoke the exact opposite mid way through and it would have been nice to see him internally struggling with his feelings for her versus her reappearance and his hesitancy.

Liam McKade left the DEA after his cover was blown when he saved Rae when her story got her in with the wrong people. Liam has gone to his family ranch in Wyoming to figure out what his next step is going to be. Rae finds Liam and fills him in on what she needs. He reluctantly agrees to help her in this search for her sister-in-law. The more time they spend together, the more danger they find themselves in, and the harder it is for them to keep their feelings for each other hidden. After being introduced to Liam McKade earlier in the series, I was intrigued and wanted to learn more about him and see his story unfold. My desire was answered! Don’t Keep Silent gives readers a deep dive into his past and his heart for helping others. Even though he took a bullet for Rae and thinks he never wants to see her again, the moment he lays eyes on her he knows he will do whatever he can to help her. She infuriates him with every step of the investigation as she puts her life at risk time and time again in her search for the truth. The back and forth dialogue between the two of them makes the story flow so well. Rae hires him to protect her but makes that job almost impossible with each step they take as she puts herself in danger to try and find her sister-in-law and figure out how everything ties in together. For me, there could have been a little more suspense built up at a few key points; right when the tension was at its highest things seemed to fizzle out. The romance was very subtle throughout until the end where it went to warp speed. That’s the problem with some romantic suspense novels, a slow build and then the end goes light sped where it’s not believable. At least Rae and Liam had past history and it wasn’t just straight to love and marriage after they first met. While the ending was a little rushed, the whole story was enjoyable and a fun easy read. My only problem was I didn’t have enough time to sit and read it all at once. Fans of Gooddard’s novels and those that enjoy romantic suspense will not want to miss this one. I received a complimentary copy of this title from the publisher. The views and opinions expressed within are my own.

I enjoyed the way she spiraled the action deeper and deeper, keeping the intrigue fresh and the reader wondering. Zoey’s character drew me in from the very beginning. You can’t help but feel bad for a sad girl wanting her missing mommy and the hurting husband who’s trying to keep things together for her. I wanted everything to work out well for them both, but that seemed less and less likely as I read deeper into the story. I love the red herrings that Goddard threw out there to keep the reader guessing – Don’t Keep Silent definitely ruled the series in that regard. Rae and Liam were complicated characters, and that’s part of what made them so great. They’re both fighting their own demons, and those demons have some similarities. Add that to the fact that they have a complex past together, and they make for deep story leads. I would have liked a flashback scene since their past influenced this story so much; that would have helped me to understand their past and it’s forward connections more fully. Of course, then Goddard couldn’t have dribbled out information in quite the same way, so maybe this way is best, but I do love those pieces that really grab the reader and superglue the two plot lines together. Don’t Keep Silent was one of those stories that made me simultaneously want to read faster and slower as I neared the end; I couldn’t wait to find out what happened but didn’t want the story – and the series – to end. I’ll definitely be rereading this one. Although the preview that Goddard included of the first book in the next series sounds amazing. If you like mystery/suspense stories where the setting plays a key role, you’ll want to get the first book in her new Rocky Mountain Courage series pre-ordered as soon as possible! All in all, if you’re a fan of suspense, you won’t want to miss Elizabeth Goddard’s Don’t Keep Silent. With lots of action scenes, likeable characters, and as many plot twists as the ski slopes it features, it’s the perfect pandemic read. I received a free copy of Don’t Keep Silent from the author. Note: This is the third book in the "Uncommon Justice" series. This book is a Christian romantic suspense book. Actually throughout the book, it was quite clear to me that the female heroine was much braver than I could ever be! While it could be a stand-alone, the reader might appreciate meeting the characters found in books 1 & 2. They work well together. Liam McKade was the brother that no one was sure about in the first two books in this series. Now that he gets his "own" book, we figure out why. Rae Burke is determined to protect her family. Actually rather she is always looking out for those who cannot help themselves. This is a grand quality, but her impulsive actions do cause her to land in tricky situations. (A few times in the book, I truly was unsure that she was going to survive). She comes to understand that while she was acting on behalf of others, she also was seeking approval. Liam is feeling a bit lost. Once Rae returns to his life, he makes it his mission to protect her. Their relationship was interrupted. Determining how to right the wrongs was definitely a challenge for both characters. The sister-in-law who is an important part of the story was definitely clever. This novel demonstrated the fact that being skeptical of certain situations is sometimes wise. While the author dropped clues, there were quite a few sketchy situations that were not resolved until the end. The only drawback: I would have liked an epilogue especially since this is the last book in the series. I felt like the ending was slightly abrupt. Maybe interaction between all of the characters in the other book? Otherwise I did really enjoy it. My rating is a 4.8 star. Thank you to NetGalley and Revell Publishers for allowing me to read this book before it was released. I wanted to be able to review because I think more people should read this author's books. Previously to my reading and reviewing this series, I had not read any books by this author, but since reading #1 in this trilogy, I have read several of her Love Inspired Suspense novels and enjoyed them as much as this series. Don't keep silent brings together Liam and Rae, who had previously had a romantic relationship that ended very badly.....with Rae blowing his DEA cover on the assignment he was on. This made an interesting dynamic between these two that I enjoyed throughout the book. The plot for Don't Keep Silent was very suspenseful and tangled. The author had me pretty much clueless to why Rae's sister-in-law was missing, and who had taken her. The journey to finding that out was full of drama, suspense, and pretty much non stop action. The Uncommon Justice Series revolves around three brothers who did not have the best upbringing, thanks to a drunk and sometimes abusive father, and the series showed how each brother dealt with it differently. Liam had run away to the military as soon as he turned eighteen, but being back home forced him to deal with his past. That element in all three books was a sad but necessary issue that needs to be discussed, and Goddard did a great job of addressing it in all three books. Don't Keep Silent was a thrilling conclusion to this awesome series, and has left me wanting to read more by this author. And Baker has the first book in her next series on their site: Present Danger, #1 in the Rocky Mountain Courage Series, due out in April. I do have one slight complaint: about this series. It did center on three brothers, and to me it would have made a lot more sense to have them pictured on the covers instead of the women they were involved with......but I still loved this series and highly recommend it, and anything Godddard has written. I was provided a copy of this book for review purposes. All opinions in this review are my own.

Engaging and fast paced this book keeps you hanging on, not wanting to put it down as the story progresses and more secrets are revealed. Rae and Liam make a great team. Liam is very serious about his job, he is skilled at what he does and yet he is struggling to decide what to pursue next. Rae is daring, and wants to do whatever she can to bring Zoe home to her brother and young niece. Rae has a passion for bring the truth to light, but her impulsive nature can get her in trouble sometimes. There is a lot going on in this book, interweaving the past with the present, bringing the tension of current suspense as well how the secrets of the past impact what is going on in the present in Rae and Liam's relationship. I liked how Liam and Rae are a great team, and though they can be opposites they compliment each other better than you'd think at first glance. The action was tight, but there was also time for great character development and relationship growth. Overall a fantastically thrilling read from beginning to end, this book works well as a stand alone, as well as a companion part of the series. I like how the heavier backstory was well woven throughout the story, so it didn't ever feel like information dumping, and I was always eager to find out more. There are strong theme of faith, family and forgiveness throughout. This book sealed the deal for me, I'm a huge fan of this author and can't wait to see what she has coming out next! I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Rae Burke is an investigative reporter with a heart for justice that is desperately trying to find out what happened to her sister-in-law, Zoey, who recently went missing. Her search leads her to Wyoming where Zoey's mother lives and also where her favorite former DEA agent, Liam McKade, lives. They met while she was on assignment overseas and unfortunately, things ended when Liam got shot saving her life and blew his cover. She hopes she can explain what happened and win back Liam's trust. Rae knows she needs his investigative help and protection if she's going to find her sister-in-law before it's too late. Can Liam learn to trust Rae again after she used him and broke his heart? From the very beginning, I was hooked. This story is fast-paced and full of action and intrigue. I loved the characters and their motivations for what they did. Since this book was from a Christian publisher, I was expecting more faith aspects to be incorporated but they were nearly absent. Some of the scenes with Rae's brother could have been better with a faith aspect but that's only my opinion. This absence is why I rated it one less star. Everything else about this story is very well done and well written. I highly recommend this book if you enjoy clean romantic suspense. My thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC of the book. All opinions expressed here are entirely my own. No positive review was expected and no compensation received.

We are in the middle of a heat wave here in Missouri, so staying cool in the nice air condition with a good book is the way I want to spend my afternoons. Don't Keep Silent by Elizabeth Goddard. It is the third and final installment in the Uncommon Justice series. It makes a great stand alone book, but trust me when I say you will want to read them all. When I began reading Don't Keep Silent I knew while reading the prologue that I was in for a treat. Seriously! I was on the edge of my seat during the prologue! How crazy good is that! The fast pace and intense situations continued throughout this book. Add an intense relationship, and for me, it felt like I found gold in this book. Rae Burke is on a mission to find her missing sister-in-law Zoey. What she doesn't expect, is to run into Liam Mckade. To say there is a history between them is an understatement. After all, Liam almost lost his life saving Rae. Now he finds himself in a similar situation. As he joins forces to help Rae, danger seems to surround them. Liam has no choice but to protect her once again. Everything they thought they left in their past is catching up with them....including their feelings for each other. A couple other great things I want to make mention of is the way God is so easily brought into the story line. The prayers are beautiful! "God, you're here in this place. In the stars above. In the mountains and the woods, smiling down at me from heaven and here with me now, closer than I can understand." It also brings light to human trafficking which is such an important issue that needs more attention brought to it. ***Thanks to Revell for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Don't Keep Silent is the third book in Elizabeth Goddard's Uncommon Justice series. Having read the previous two books in the series, there were certainly some familiar people and places known from the previous books and I'd highly recommend the series as a whole... but this could certainly be read as a stand alone too. In Don't Keep Silent we get a closer look into the life of another McKade brother, Liam. When we meet Liam, he's searching for his direction after having left the DEA. When Rae's sister in law goes missing, she brings him in to help. Of course, there's a romance there that I really enjoyed seeing play out... but the action really took the lead in this story! Every turn of the page seemed to reveal something else and I couldn't put it down, trying to figure out how it all went together. There were many twists and turns throughout that really kept me guessing right through to the end. You really never quite were sure who to trust. These are often my favorite type of suspense stories. Elizabeth Goddard did a wonderful job of crafting this story to keep the reader involved right through to the end. As a Christian romantic suspense, there is certainly some mention of faith and prayer but I felt it was very subtle in this story--- characters displaying very natural shows of faith (prayer, etc) as they would in life. As such, it could possibly appeal to those who just enjoy a good clean read as well. And that it certainly is. Though it deals with topics like human trafficking, it is still clean and free of language. While I must admit that I did prefer the other books in this series better, this was still a fantastic read and a great addition to the series. Fans of romantic suspense are sure to enjoy this one! **I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley for consideration. All thoughts are 100% my own.

Liam McKade and Rae Burke team up in Don't Keep Silent to find Rae's missing sister-in-law, Zoey. They worked together once before but it didn't end well and Liam was less than thrilled to be working with Rae again. Still the two team up and work through the layers of both what happened in the past and the mystery they are currently trying to solve. This book was a page turner from the beginning of Don't Keep Silent. It is a solid clean suspense novel with readers working to solve the mystery and trying to figure out how things will work out with Rae and Liam. I liked both characters as they seemed fairly easy to relate to. There are also other relationships within the book that were interesting and thought-provoking in relation to the title. I found the mystery to be interesting all the way through to the end. It was intriguing that Goddard used a fictitious book series as part of this plot--it is always fun to see books play a role within a book. There are some subtle spiritual messages within the book but mostly it is a clean, suspenseful read. I also like the cover art and it seems to go well with the series--a beautiful woman solving a mystery on a snowy mountain. At the end of Don't Keep Silent, readers also get a teasing glimpse in to her upcoming series, Rocky Mountain Courage. I received this book courtesy of Baker Publishing Group, Revell Division and the author. All opinions in this review are my own.
