This is one of those Kelli Callahan books that I simply couldn't put down. I lost sleep over this book because the story, for me, was that intense. Logan and Abigail's story is so touching, and tragedy that she had to endure really made this book work. Logan's insta-love attraction, while not the greatest, I think really helped Abigail overcome a lot of her demons. I really hope that we get to read more about the characters in this book! This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a stand-alone. Abigail is on the streets and on the run. She is hiding in a construction site when Logan finds her and takes her in. Soon sparks are flying between them. What will happen when Abigail’s past comes back for her? Fast-paced read with plenty of emotion, drama and steam. I really liked the characters and their story drew you in. A good read.

Fell Short While this book had great potential in the beginning, it quickly spiraled downward. Unrealistically instant love to the point where the first, “I love you,” was said in the first couple of chapters. The main characters voice was said to be broken sentences and her memory was gone. The beginning of the story reflected those claims, but half way in it’s like it never happened. Very disappointed in this read.

WOW WOW WOW WOW AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW this storyline line was one that had me hooked from the very first chapter. WOW WOW WOW WOW AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW this storyline line was one that had me hooked from the very first chapter. I couldnt put it down, it was so addictive and exciting and I desperately wanted to see Abi finally have some good luck. After an "accident" that found Abigail with a head injury, she lost all her memories. All she had now was 1 year of her life that she had spent on the streets because when the police tried to take her home after she recovered enough to get out of hospital she ran. Because all Abigail knew was something bad happened at the house. She knew her parents had died but she didnt know any more than that. Abigail had decided to sleep in some houses that were getting built. They were easy to get into and it meant she could hopefully get a good nights sleep because when you sleep on the streets you always have one eye open. Thankfully this one had hot running water so she managed to have a shower it was bliss. But as she sat down to have her sandwich a man came walking in. He begged her to stay calm that he would never hurt her. And for some strange feeling she thought she could so she told him to stay back. They started to talk but once she saw he had a knife on his belt she totally freaked out and hit him with a piece of wood and got out of there!!! Logan was in a difficult position, his sisters best friend Maria and him always had this attraction but Logan never acted on it as something always held him back. He wanted someone who needed him and Maria was one feisty woman who needed no man. Maria was dating but she always came up and made him feel uncomfortable. He had to put his foot down and let her know nothing was ever going to happen between them. It always ended up in a argument. When he gets a phone call to say they thought they have a squatter as empty food bags were found in one of the houses they were building. He planned to go a stake it out tomorrow night. SO the next night he waits with a can of coke and a piece of steak. And load and behold she sees a small shadow go in to what he thought of as his house. He was going to buy it he had decided. But when he first saw the girl in the shower his heart went doolally. He knew that this woman was meant to be his. But when he made himself known after she had her shower, was dressed and settled on the floor she screamed so loud. But thankfully she calmed down. She wasn't a talker but maybe that had something to do with the massive scar she had on her head. Everything was going ok In fact she had him in stitches. She didnt know much and he found himself explains lots of things to her. But then she totally flipped out and left him laying on the floor bleeding. He wasn't angry he just didnt understand what had happened. But he knew one thing! he was finding his girl. There are some many twists and turns in this book. it was so addictive. One of the best books ive read from Kelli Callahan and that is saying something because I go mad for any of her books. I really liked the charaters, we need more people like Logan in our world. What a perfect gentleman with a heart of gold. Even his sister Lucy and her family were just what Abigail needed and it shone through that they were a family who stood together. In this Abigail was your homeless person at a very young age, not only was she homeless, but with no memory except for the year that had passed after the incident. Logan kept thinking that Maria was the one for him, but she belongs to Officer Cortez and when he met Abigail, he knew she was the one for him. Logan went out of his way to help those who needed help, but never thought that his heart would want more than just a simple thank you. Abigail knew not to trust just anyone and try her best to survive without knowing who she was, but when she meets Logan, she feels safe. There are suspense moments, but also some funny scenes here, especially when Abigail makes coffee for the first time on her first day of the job! There is a story behind Logan’s workers, but hopefully Kelli will create their stories along for us to read and Haden, what is up with him? Of course there is something unanswered with Cortez and does Maria get her story; although I wasn’t very happy with her actions especially on Easter dinner, but like life, many people have to hit a brick wall to finally understand what is in front of them. There is appreciation for those in blue and all those first responders that know that they may not return home or have that second chance! Although there is a pregnancy and happy ending for Logan and Abigail, the ending was a bit somber, but I hope that is because the next book will be filled with a lot of joy, happiness, and drama of course. He always helps people out and puts others first. So when his building team find evidence of a squatter on their latest site, Logan knows that he can’t just kick them to the kerb. He just wasn’t expecting to find that the squatter in the shower was a beautiful young woman. Abigail survived a terrible attack a year ago. She can’t remember exactly what happened, but she knew it was bad. It left her with a head injury that has affected her ability to string words together as quick as her brain thinks. Her speech sounds slurred, so people think she’s stupid. She’s been living on the streets ever since she ran from the hospital and all that she can remember is her name and her life on the streets this past year. She is street wise now and she doesn’t trust the man that has just appeared in the house that she’s been squatting in for a couple of nights. She just wants a decent, quiet nights sleep. Although they get off on the wrong foot, Logan and Abigail quickly fall into a routine. They just feel right together and they both fall hard and fast. They have a connection that they can’t explain. But Abigail's past isn’t buried and even though she can’t remember, it remembers her. This is a brilliant second book in this series. The story is well written, and the characters from book one are there along the way. A fabulous read. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved this story! It was entertaining and suspenseful. The characters were interesting and relatable. I wanted to smack Maria a lot. Abigail was busy falling for Logan too. Will their love be strong enough to keep them together when Abigail's past comes after her again? Abigail impressed me with her bravery and how she kept things together even when it was really hard. Logan was awesome with how he decided to help Abigail and keep her safe. Lucy and Godrick made me happy with how accepting of Abigail they were. I do wish there was an epilogue further out, but I did like the way the story ended. Their happy ever after had me smiling. Overall, disappointing.

This was an exciting and dramatic story about Abigail, a survivor of a serial killer and Logan. Their relationship is based on saving each other, needing and looking after the other. Abigail had a rough year. She basically watched her parents get murdered, and then spent the last year or so on the run, so that she wasn't the next victim. Due to the happenings of that time in her life, she has ended up homeless with a crappy memory, and a bit of a speech impediment because her mouth doesn't always articulate what her brain wants, when it wants and she gets frustrated. She starts staying at this house that is in the middle of being built.. with the last few belongings she has.. Abigail had a rough year. This was a great read, and I really enjoyed that the story wasn't as predictable as some of the others on the market today!

The relationship between Abigail and Logan is so beautiful...when you know, you know and that is how Logan feels about Abigail instantly. It is really speaks volumes about Logan's character that he never judges or projects onto Abigail. Their story is sweet while it is super hot. They can't keep their hands off each other. The drama surrounding Abigail however, is sad, sick and leaves an uneasy feeling of always looking over your shoulder for the ultimate of horrors to come. “Always the Hero” was a beautiful addition to the “Plot Twist: I’m pregnant!” series. This book is the emotional journey of Logan Green and his search for his perfect match. There is so much love in this book that it could possibly soften the hardest heart. The love scenes in this book fit with my imagination of Logan since I read “Kiss My Boss”.He is a strong passionate lover. Who is fiercely protective and loyal to those he loves. A very well-written, romantic book 2 in the Plot Twist, I'm Pregnant Book and insightful book about a amazing couple who decide to discover where their relationship can go after he rescues her from the streets. This wonderful book is a short romantic engaging story that has a fast-paced story that has chemistry, thoughtfulness, impulsiveness discovery, romance and a HEA. This Author has wonderful imagination to write so many wonderfully different "must read" short stories. After everything that Abigail has gone through I was cheering her and Logan on to get their HEA. This is an emotional read about a woman who lost her memory and the man who took care of her. Falling in love wasn't in the plans and neither was her past coming back to haunt them. The writing is great, the story is filled with drama, angst, steam, unexpected twists and a great HEA. I loved Always The Hero and this became my favorite Kelli Callahan book. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

The author has given us characters that we can care about. A year ago, Abigail was attacked and left for dead. However, she survived but has no memories of anything prior to waking up in the hospital. Logan, construction foreman, is contacted by his crew that there is a squatter in the home they are building. When Logan finds the squatter and realizes it is a woman, all he knows it that he needs to help her. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book was amazing and an easy quick read! Logan instantly feels protective of Abigail and attracted to her. She finally feels safe and like she can trust someone when she is with him. Remember reading Lucy's book previously and now I am so glad I got to read Logan's too....! I won't give anything away other than Logan and Abigail's story is full of plenty of heat, with some lovey doveyness, tears, suspense, drama and lil bit nerve wracking towards the end! Only wish knew more about their futures! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This one was about Abigail and Logan. This author is a go to author for me and this story also didn't disappoint. I loved Logan, he was a perfect hero and with me, the guy's voice has to convince me. I also loved that it was told in the first point of view from both characters.
