Not good I have heard so many positive and raving comments about Marian Tee. I hope this is a one off for her books. I love anything Cinderella and was excited to start this book. Usually characters that start off weak will redeem themselves with an inner strength or actions that show in a different light. This one did NOT. c) Main male lead was horrid and hateful and even at the end when these sort of male leads become more relatable and we understand their actions, this guy did not. In all a story whose description sounded interesting and made me want to read it, turned out to be boring and one I would just like to forget about.

His sister, Dezza used everything in her power to keep them apart. Would Ella and Sheikh Khal find true happiness together? I enjoyed this romance with a touch of mystery and was glad to see the sheikh become less aloof and more like able towards the end. I recommend reading this book. Ella was so weak is was nauseating. First he likes to call you his little sis, yet that somehow brings lusts to Ella, she gives him her virginity and a right after it was over, Khal tells her he is having a ball party to find his bride and he doesnt want there, then has the audacity to try and hurt her feelings by sleeping with another woman. Ella tells Khal he loves her, and he doesn't reciprocate. All he tells her is he wants to have sex. Ella cries like every 5 minutes into this book it was ridiculous. I'm shocked I finished it. I gave it two stars because around 61-70% into the book I started to like it. I started to see Ella stake a stand. However she got lucky for that

Wonderful and entertaining Cinderella type romance. Emma's mother fell in love and married a Sheikh/King. Upon their union Ella had to move with her mother. Khal is the son of the king and therefore someday to be the king. Upon meeting something sparked between them but both knew they couldn't be together. The characters were interesting and the Sheikh was intense. I received a complementary copy of this book via Booksprout and chose to write a review. Khal as heir and eldest is in charge of Ella and her comings and goings in his country. I found the back and forth between these two characters confusing. While the story loosely follows the Cinderella plot, it ran a little long for me. I wished for Ella, though the character is young, to have a little more gumption or backbone. I personally love a good bully romance and I found this story quite enjoyable. Ella’s mom is marrying the King and Khal is the heir to the throne. Khal is a bully and controlling, but yet there is an attraction between him an Ella. Their relationship has many ups and downs, and obstacles in their way, and it doesn’t help that someone is trying to sabotage their relationship. Will they have their happily ever after? Read and find out for yourself. Overall, a great quick read. I received a free co I personally love a good bully romance and I found this story quite enjoyable. An entertaining step sibling bully romance! It is well written, consistent, enjoyable, emotionally deep, and very interesting. The twists and turns, ups and downs, witty banter, and suspense will keep you on the edge of your seat. The characters will grow on you; the chemistry between them is amazing. Ella's mother is marrying a king, so now they all live in a palace. Unfortunately, Ella also has to deal with the king's son and heir, Sheikh Khal. He seems to hate Ella and is so mean and rude to her. A future king. A young naïve woman. Lust. A virgin. A bride hunt. What a wonderful story except for all of the errors. Without the errors I would have given this book further stars. Ella's mother is marrying a king, so now they all live in a palace. Annoying characters.. The writing is okay and this a Cinderella type rendition storyline. The age gap was questionable since the h age wasn't mentioned. Couldn't connect with the characters. Too annoying heroine and the Sheikh was a jerk. Abused the heroine and flaunted another women in front of the heroine. Heroine was weak and pathetic. What a wasted read. Annoying characters.. Escapism reading with your braincells having a rest. A story that would have better be situated in a fictitious Eastern European principality as there is nothing Arabian to it. Smoothly written nonsense with a high dose of the female version of p0rn but it works well as escapism after a day of hard work.

The attraction between Ella and Khal is palpable but the interactions are somewhat confusing at times and I found it hard to actually like them together. He was very controlling and she didn't show much of a backbone. The steam is great but doesn't make up for the lack in the story. Khal was blowing hot and cold even I was wondering what is what but then I realized it was because of the political maneuvering of one half sister who wanted the cown fir her own son. So he had to be cruel to be kind. Showing the world his cruelty to protect his love for her. It was hard, especially for Ella, but she fought hard and won. I liked the last part where she went back to the Palace and presented herself to be his bride. That was the peak of the story.
