MUCH better than Godzilla Dominion. Jaw-dropping artwork, with emotionally resonant characters, and a cool story that ratchets things up to a pretty darn cool climax where the human characters have meaningful things to do, and Kong gets a lot of sweet scenes, too. I was really impressed! Loved it! BUT one caveat--as much as I loved the art, I thought that the female characters looked too similar, and that the story might feel more satisfying with less realistic art. Still, this is great kaiju act MUCH better than Godzilla Dominion. I give this a 7/10. Artwork is visually stunning, characters are well developed, Camazotz is a horrific kaiju. The panels and coloring sometimes made action hard to follow. It’s an interesting complement to the Monsterverse films and actually explains stuff from Godzilla vs Kong, so it actually does improve my understanding of that film. Hard to recommend though unless you are a big kaiju fan.

Better than the Godzilla tie-in. This book answers many of the weak story points from the Godzilla VS Kong movie, which I appreciated.
