I do not need religious indoctrination This is a well written and well-defined scif I story. About at the 32% point of the box set, religious discussions take over the story line. While the dissertations are non sectarien , it is such a distraction than it became unenjoyable. Sorry David, until get out from the pulpit, I will NOT follow your writtings.

To my eyes, Daniel Gibbs was the best new space opera writer to hit the ebook market in 2019. He may be a new author, but it does not show in his writing. The personal elements are true to the newest research and bibliographies of recent vets. I pick up his books and I fall right into the story, resurfacing when the book ends. Fans of David Weber, Jerry Pournelle, Glynn Stewart and John Ringo need to take note (as do these authors since the new competition is Fierce)!

great read 5 stars because it was well written and over 1000 pages. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Military Sci-Fi or just plain Sci-Fi the Author did a great job with making the story as realistic as possible without getting bogged down with unnecessary details. Most of the story takes place in outer space which is a huge Plus.

A Different Outlook There is nothing different about humans, even with alien help, fighting other humans. What's different here is a totally different style of writing. I'm buying book four right now. This book showcases the reason people buy books. A Different Outlook There is nothing different about humans, even with alien help, fighting other humans. Good read I enjoyed this read. The interfacing of religions without being preachy. Interesting ways of seeing the interactions from the different characters.

A book and series with more proselytizing than action. This book had more praying and proselytizing than action. If you’re interested in Judaism read this book and Siri‘s. If you want more action and sci-fi look elsewhere. Yes you learned more about Judaism than the science-fiction elements that a science-fiction story is supposed to tell you. The author should’ve mentioned this in his synopsis of the book. I read the entire first three books of the series to give it a chance. The story here is a good one, and the plot and the hey characters work very well. My main issue is the (to me) really excessive religious content, the religious detail feels far more than is needed for the story. It's slightly frustrating too that the only non religious character in the Terran Coalition is presented as such an asshat of a character / personality. It's very clichéd to suggest that those who do not believe in God are either shitty in character or in moral attitude. Likewise, the definition of the League as communists and atheists, and that being the driver to their evil behaviour, feels incredibly lazy. These tropes are annoying at best, verging on offensive.

The book is good; however it focused on religion a lot. I enjoyed the part where the story was on, also liked the description of customs different religions, however I felt offended as the bad guys were the non-religious ones, and the good guys are all who have faith in any religion; and this was described over pages-and-pages how bad are the bad guys as they do not believe anything, how bad things they do, partially due to the lack of believing in god. Fantasy entertaining listening Due to eye issues and damage Alexa reads to me, I find it like 👍watching 👀a movie. Three very will written military space adventure Sci-Fi thriller novels far in the future. The characters are interesting and will developed in the space war. The story line is fast moving, violent, complicated, with each novel standing alone and leading to the next novel. I would recommend this series to readers of space adventure thrillers. Enjoy the adventure of reading 2021

Review of said books When I first started reading the above series, I thought I had gotten a hold of the wrong story. In th?e first few pages was all this talk about religion, not too sci-fi, but that what's just the beginning, I read on and all was better. The characters are interesting and the plot keeps pulling on to read more. I think most Sci-fi ers will enjoy reading the series. Great read, bit preachy. Picked this book, trilogy actually, liking the premise after reading a blurb about it somewhere. the writing is tight, the authors vocabulary extensive, and his military knowledge seems fairly extensive. There is a good deal of religion running throughout the narrative and in some places it gets a little bit preachy, it is, howeve, integral to the story. All in all, a good read.

Great space war story This was a very different war story. The protagonists all have a deep faith in God although they do question their situation. It did present a good picture of what people of faith go through, especially soldiers. The story is compelling and the action scenes are good. All in all, a great set of books.

Great story, interesting mix of religious information A well written suspenseful group of stories that adds insights from various religious prayers and thoughts to give the reader added depth into these religions. This adds to the thoughts and war fighting of the varied protagonists.

These books are very well written, the characters are mostly relatable, and the action sections are suspenseful. I would give it 5 stars but I found the religious conversations borderline preachy. However I give the author props for addressing issues of faith and religion without being overly biased. Starting book 3 and surprised to learn there 7 or 8 in total? Wow. Kudos!

Of you are an atheist..... Decent story, but it feels like as an atheist I am being attacked constantly for my views. This book almost feels like an indoctrination. The good guys are believers and the bad guys aren't; even the one atheist on the religious side is portrayed as an asshole. Not for me sorry. Of you are an atheist..... Very well done The ship handling and combat operations remind me of older sci-fi, short on technical details so the action can move forward rapidly. There is both character development and falls from Grace. The long-term plot is well thought out so far, and I look forward to the next book. Over, very well done and highly recommended.

Good story I enjoyed the story, however the constant praying and God talk was a bit much. While I understand the author was trying to use it as a main plot line, it came to the point that I was skimming a heck of a lot.

Religion and War An excellent look into the thoughts of many religious and non religious individuals during the time of battle. I have not read sci fi with religious overtones that were written as well as this series has been.

Creative, interesting, a real adventure. Complete with good character development and futuristic high tech. I loved the way it is so moral. It challenges us to win "the war within". It's violent without being blood thirsty. Quite the reverse! Jewish? Christian? Muslim? Worth reading this. Creative, interesting, a real adventure. No shortage of action Once you get started, these books are hard to put down. There is a fair bit of moralizing, which are not my favorite parts but the action makes up the bulk of the books. One note, I wish I got a nickel for every use of the word "smirk" No shortage of action Once you get started, these books are hard to put down. Great series This series keeps you interested and sucks you in. Its not repetitive and keeps throwing curve balls. When you think something is going to happen, the plot moves another direction. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A very good read This is the first science fiction which used all the religions, non believers and atheists as a major part of an integrated story. Very different and very interesting, something our world could learn from, harmony is possible!

Great read If you like a space epics, with the word of God throughout, than this is a book for you. His portrayal of the people is so life like that after a chapter or two they are real as your best friends. The loss of them is a blow to that never lessons.
