Any writer that can have you hating the characters, including the two main characters as much as I did for the first half of the book and keep your interest enough till you hang on every word and end up loving the story is spectacular as far as I am concerned. I almost scrapped this book and marked it as DNF, I was so mad at the characters and what they were doing. However, I just had to find out how it all turned out and what went on and I am glad I did. I certainly never could have predicted some of the things that took place in this book. You should see my status updates on this one (including gifs), they show my progression from hate to love. I love the ending of this series and would like to read the stories of other characters too! Cadee and Cooper don't have a nice story. It's messy and pulls at your heart strings in the most delicious ways. I hated the way they both acted at times. Cadee's submission and cooper's arrogance was sometimes too much for me to handle. But I got where they were coming from. The author provided some amazing twists in the story and ending shocked me a bit. I was not expecting that!! I won't lay into you , the whole storyline , but what I can tell you is that none of you are prepared for the Awesomeness this author is going to throw at you! The story has all the feels and I absolutely could not put it down until the very end. Every character in this series had their own stories and pains. I loved getting to know some of the whole stories and we got a glimpse of the rest of them. Maybe this author has mercy on my soul and gives us stories of the other characters too!! A definite recommendation to all the dark Romance lovers out there!! But like I mentioned before , this story has some dark bullying parts , specially the first part of the series and if you guys somehow get through that , then the author has a lots of surprises for you! It's the most amazing book ever with many twists and turns ! Instagram | Facebook | Twitter | Pinterest | Bookbub | My Blog

Wow the pace is relentless in this series. But I loved how hard and fast it was. I felt as if I couldn't read fast enough. The end ah the end, ultimate Hussie ending. Can't say more cuz you have to read this book. But Cadee and Cooper definitely get their moments. More to come. I am trying to put my thoughts together after that after-shock wears off.

As a matter of fact I'd love to dive inside hers to see just how she continues to write such exquisitely executed books. Ruling Class is multi-layered and it was quite the journey to get to the final truth. A story that kept me on my toes as the mystery surrounding High Court College did for it's residents. My head was spinning more times than I can count but my goodness it was worth every screwed up expression I exhibited and every seemingly dead end in eventually learning what each blanket of sins meant. And believe me, there were many. Picking up where we left off in Bully King and here I thought that book was complicated, Ruling Class goes to yet another level of intrigue. Although Cooper and Cadee come up with a plan to shed themselves of this demonic place, nothing goes the way they thought. And when the rest of their crew all seem to go off script, it's literally anyone's game. One no one was prepared to play. With Huss throwing me off the path of where I assumed this story was headed, I honestly could not believe how Cooper and Cadee, not to mention Isabella, Mona, Ax and Lars, had become less than they were capable of. With rituals, odd ceremonies and plans for grooming all seemingly set in place, I was just as surprised as Cadee and Cooper were when thoughts of ruin fell apart. But Huss is masterful in her story-telling and I knew I had to be patient which I will admit was beyond hard at times. My patience, however was handsomely rewarded as I was again wowed as everything fell into place, albeit in an explosive sort of way and I literally closed my Kindle and smiled. Surprising me with This is the kind of book and duet that you cannot even come close to summarizing since there are a myriad of twists and turns that at times feel too fantastic. But then the last 10 percent or so comes into play and all the doubts, the questions and the what-ifs are beautifully assuaged and you can't believe it all makes sense!!! This story has incredible characters, a bit of some great kink and a kind of love that is more than appreciated after all that is endured. There is a ton of evil and moments that were a bit hard to swallow but were made better by the kindness that was always there but sometimes got a bit lost in all the opulence this crew lived in. Not to mention some changes of heart from some of the more powerful players and not always in a good way. In the end, it's a duet you need to experience for yourself. I can't help but give Huss high praise for never writing the same story twice and always keeping me engaged from beginning to end. With that in mind I happily give Ruling Class a huge 5 stars!

Ruling Class is the second book in author J.A. Huss' Kings of High Court College series. This book is seriously dark and disturbing, as well as a high-octane, action-packed suspense. This book focuses on Cadee and Cooper. They are pushed and challenged by everyone and every situation. It is clear that they have the least information of all their fellow students. They seem so naive and oblivious at times. They and their classmates had a plan, but no one seems to be following it. There are times wh Ruling Class is the second book in author J.A. Cooper's brothers and father have a more significant role in this story, and they add a lot of creepiness to the tale. The story culmination is exciting, the secret society conspiracy is suspenseful, and maybe Cadee and Cooper did not get their answers and secrets, but they got some life lessons along the way. WOW! JA Huss has a way of always keeping me on the edge of my seat when I read her books or my head spinning, but this book she had me going double time. This book was intense, it had so many twists and turns when you thought you figured them all out there were more. You don't know who you can trust, what's truth, and what isn't. This was a great duet.

I was disappointed with the finally of this duet. Sure the ending is crazy and wild. The sex hot. Just, this book felt like page and page of inner turmoil that we have heard already. This review has taken a few days to write as my mind is still reeling and in the best of ways. This book was incredibly twisted and left me not knowing which way was up, who to trust and believe and wondering what was going to happen next. Seeing the characters come into their own created for such a magical ride that didn't let me go. What an incredible ride -- put on your seatbelt

I should have known better...the first book in the duet, Bully King (BK), ended in a "HEA for now" breath of relief. That reprieve was short-lived as JA Huss ramps up the intensity of Ruling Class fairly quickly as we dive into the depths of High Court College. BK's main focus was introducing us to Cooper Valcourt, whose ancestor was one of the founders of the college, and Cadee Hunter, the daughter of employees who worked for the school, and the current generation of students. BK's main focus was introducing us to Cooper Valcourt, whose ancestor was one of the founders of the college, and Cadee Hunter, the daughter of employees who worked for the school, and the current generation of students. In Ruling Class, Cooper tries to uncover his father, the Chairman's true end goal by welcoming in a commoner like Cadee, who was home-schooled with no apparent ties to the Fang & Feather Society, the elite clique of High Court. Cadee, on the other hand, wonders why she seems to be easily stepping into the elite school among those who had just bullied her over the summer. The more you think you figure out, the further from the truth you become. JA Huss weaves this tale so tight that you barely see the thread that starts to unravel who the "ruling class" of High Court actually is. The author provides barely any hints on the direction the story will take which ramps up the suspense even further. Having not lived the life of privilege all her life, will the gifts and lavish lifestyle overcome her goal to find the truth about what happened to her parents? How far is she willing to go and will Cooper be by her side? All these questions will be answered in one of the twistiest endings I've ever read!

And with the secrets they now hold, they have the power to live life on their terms... that is, until school starts back up... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Ruling Class was a story that was even darker and more depraved than it's predecessor, Bully King. While Cooper and Cadee have finally admitted their feelings for each other, there is a force even greater than their connection which is working to challenge everything they ever wanted in a life with each other... With their return to High Court College, Cooper and Cadee are prepared to stick with the plan that was formed over the summer with the Fang and Feather society recruits. But, the Chairman, the Judge and the Mayor have other plans... especially when it comes to Cadee.  Whew! Reading this book gave me chills and sweaty palms, all at the same time! Yeah, this is Julie at her finest so NONE of what they planned out is actually what happened. The plan fell off the tracks almost immediately....or did it? Nothing is as it seems, no one knows what's going on, who can be trusted, who can't..... Initially the story moved along slowly and I kept waiting for something or someone to jump out from behind a corner with some huge revelation or something, but things finally started to progress along and the train picked up speed and then that last 10% of the book was like, WHAT THE WHAT??? Mind blown, mouth agape, head shaking. I don't know how Julie comes up with these twisted AF stories, but she is certainly a master at it!!

It does kinda come off to me as Affection Ever After or FWB vibe..but not a HFN. :) Dark(?): 4-almost 4.5ish/5, I Love Dark books so my rating is different than others, this book may or will be darker for others. There is darkness in this book but it is a bit fast forwarding to me to definitively say is really DARK as well as the backstory is kinda blurred so even though you ca Voluntarily Review this Book for Honest Review. There is darkness in this book but it is a bit fast forwarding to me to definitively say is really DARK as well as the backstory is kinda blurred so even though you can make out that the past for the Fang & Feather was dark, the depth for it kinda seemed too hush hushed to really know much of it. I really wanted nitty gritty dark details. Romance: 3-3.5/5 Heat: 4-4.5/5 Dark Heat(?): 3/5 Drama: 5/5 Suspense: 4.5-5/5 Pacing: Mid to Sometimes Fast Pacing, not a lot of breathing space. Relationship Type: No RH, this is MF but I actually would not have minded MFF surprisingly. No FF in this book as well. Bully(?): 3-3.5/5 Predictability: 1.5-2ish/5, pretty low which is great! No Spoilers within this Review. I personally would’ve weirdly like the story to be more into the Cult and darker, but again that’s just me. This was a really good read, and I suggest reading it if you love the dark side. This book definitely made me crave for darker twisted reads in the future, especially scenes like one that were referenced about a certain show. (making sure not to spoil) I do wish Cadee & Cooper we’re focused on more, cause everyone else did seem much more important. That they themselves seem to be lost in their own book.

Just Wow!! What a follow up DUET!! One Click Now! You will Not Be disappointed!! First Things First Though, This IS BOOK 2 "Ruling Class" So If You didn't read Bully King Before! Then Stop Go Back because, Ruling Class would for sure make ya think WTH from Page 1, ya know? Lol You have to get your dues diligence with a JA Huss book and only reading half would kind of be like walking around half dressed, yep that kind of goes well with this Book! HA!!! Because after Book One IT was obviously going Just Wow!! HA!!! Because after Book One IT was obviously going hit hard and to us readers, uh huh, quit it, give me more now!! And Now, damn after all that TRIP!! Yep I Still Need It Again, MORE! It’s just this kind of a Duet for me! Book 1 blows it up crazy, you think book 2 won't? Well lets just see what you think then? For Me, yep she did it again, sucked me in good, turns ya sideways, backwards, I think like a drowning, yep, recitation now please!! 😂 Wait let me jump back in for Rd 2 because I wanna do it all over again, just keep letting it happen. Yep All Of It, just washing right over me again, an again. Because this time I know, don’t I? 😂🤷‍♀️🎉 So Of course Its Another; Hold onto your seat, your Kindle or whatever you read on, for Sure Yourself and YOUR Heart just because a few times it skipped and skidded and I swear it was going ping ponging right around in my chest!!! Yep in quite a few place, or Beats!! THIS "Ruling Class" Is Exactly what is sounds Like, well Maybe or Maybe NOT!! Its got all High Ranks of Kings with Queens with the underclassmen wishing to be just like them, but do they really? What Do they want with the status? Will it be the Class, Cars, Jewels, Diamonds an of course exposing All and Even some like this Crass Type Personalities! But Honor, maybe Honorary guest! LOL But Belonging...Belonging to Who or Whom? This one picks right on up with just how it ends but soon the twists start twisting and you don't know who to believe or not. Lies a flying, Strawberry Champagne a flowing, Secrets Galore and can even hide or not in a huge “Glass House” And exactly just what was that devised plan they had, was it true, heck at the end of Bully Kings we think we know but do we truly even? We think we really know but then it kind of goes in all different directions, Im def thinking is this right? Was it even any kind of Truth? The Secrets of these People? So then I get to thinking about this writer and believe me when JA Huss decides to write a story about a Bully, I was Like What? I gotta smile right here because if you are a true Huss Fan, you know how she will push, pull and tug all over, make your mind go all over the place and most times, its especially too your heart! And all of this with a Bully King, a privileged bunch of Rich Punks & It’s new pledges that must go through their time within their “Ruling Class” I'd love to say another Huss classic but then again what is really a Huss Classic? 😂 Maybe a Book You will Never Forget! ❤️ A book from beginning to end you didn't know what the heck was truly going to happen from minute to minute, or you think you figured it out but Yep thats exactly not it!! Lol Yeah something like All of this Or that wrapped up for you to unravel yourself, your Mind! And ya know what I LOVE that about this woman, this creative Author! Because After Yrs of buying and Reading, Hell I realize not even a damn Pandemic can stop her, well yes it stunned us all. But SHE can keep me in such a fluster of emotions that sometimes I have to guess at all my own reactions because it is all fiction, right? LOL Because sometimes it just seems like she catches Life and takes it to the Deeper End. And it evolves Right before our eyes, and The this Ruling Class, its That kind, exactly that kind of a Ride! I'm not going give much more away in this one because its the ending of a Duet and well who wants to get spoiled with the ending of that first book! A book to me that had me for the first time in 2020 worried about THESE CHARACTERS And Nothing else and I needed that, VERY Much So!!! Thank You Julie for Always Bringing it!! I loved this story line, I loved these characters and I def could see a couple of the other characters getting a book of their very own, because truthfully who didn't you generally Love of Coopers Buddy's and even a couple of the ones in Book 1 that you for sure didn't think would be worth a minutes worry but all of the sudden they do! Yep right On!! Never a disappointment, Never a person going copycat this writing, because it just cant be done, forget about it! Lol Because You Will Never Know What's Cooking In That Head of JA Huss! And Then you are already thinking for a minute and what she is gonna bring your way Next!! Sure wish I did sometimes but heck then it wouldn't be near the fun of knowing at the end how fully satisfying the entire Thing Is, This Thing of Being a Creative Writer of All Things Like This, that is Just Being Great with This Duet, The Ones Before & it’ll Be the Ones After That will continue to be, yes please! Sorry just some mad props to this writer and how she can get ya every time!! I'd give this Duet a 10 Star Rating if I could, its just That GOOD!! But Its def a Full "Ruling of 5 Stars"! NoW get to enjoying This 2020 Top Hit!!

Well this book was definitely an explosion with everything that happened and was revealed. Seriously DAYYYUUUMMMM I was not expecting all that. Sure I had some guesses and ideas here and there. But when all was said and done, I definitely did not expect it AT ALL! I want to say all my questions were answered, but I can’t. I mean a majority were, but there were still a few I had that left me like WTH?! REALLY?! SERIOUSLY?! Definitely wasn’t happy being left hung like that without those answers. This book definitely did a 180 when it came to Cadee. I truly hated her for a majority of the story for everything. Did she deserve all the bad things she got? Not necessarily, but she bought it onto herself. So she only had herself to blame. I do hate not getting the answers from her life though including her parents. As for Cooper, I’m still half and half about him. Like I got why he did what he did, but hated that he didn’t always have faith or trust in others that he should of. But then again that wasn’t his fault, seeing as the life he was raised in. But he definitely does get to redeem himself (in a way) for which I am glad. I do wish more was said and known about Ax and Lars. They were pretty much an enigma to me in this whole story. I get the story is mainly Cadee and Cooper, but even so their story (Ax and Lars) and parts weren’t explained fully and/or even at all. Which is where my some of my unanswered questions stemmed from. Overall, a good series. Definitely never read a story like this before, so was surprising and full of many twists and turns which I liked. But I think the ending could’ve been worked on more. The ending seemed kind of rushed and anticlimactic because of it. It felt like the author was over the series and just wanted to finish it. So she just rushed and threw an ending together. Regardless of whether it was good enough.

Well... that was an unexpected ride. I feel like I’ve gotten to the end of a test and I’m turning in my seat to look around at everyone else while mouthing, ‘Is that the answer you got?’ And everyone else is looking at me in shock too. This book did not go where I thought it was going. And honestly, that’s not even saying that much because I really didn’t have much idea to start with. I had this one tiny inkling of a tiny part of the plot, and that was about it. If you thought Bully King was unc Well... that was an unexpected ride. I had this one tiny inkling of a tiny part of the plot, and that was about it. If you thought Bully King was uncomfortable in parts - it had nothing on this book. There was actually a point where I needed a break before continuing, and I don’t think that’s ever happened in a JA Huss book before. I trust her implicitly though, and it was okay, but it got heavy. This is another story full of twists and turns, well-kept secrets, and hidden agendas. Pretty much the only constant is that every single person is hiding something. I’m not sure if this is meant to be social commentary, but my goodness it resounded with the world today. This knowledge that there is true evil lurking in places you least expect it, and that absolute power corrupts absolutely. But for all the darkness, some light seeped through, too. A lot of it is in the background, but it’s there. I love a book that keeps me guessing. One that I can’t begin to predict, even if I tried - and I don’t with Julie, because I’m always wrong anyway. This was a compelling duet with intriguing characters, fantastic plot development, and an intricate world of mystery and depravity. I will definitely need to read it again!

Well ... *insert crickets chirping* I'm speechless. I spent a good portion of this book asking it WTF?! And putting it down just to pick it right back up.
