When you turn 65, our federal government doesn't really give you a whole lot of resources to navigate Medicare. You just get sent a super-long "Medicare and You" booklet that's about as clear as mud. But this book helps break down this gargantuan program into digestible easy pieces, while helping you avoid mistakes that can cost you penalties for the rest of your retired life. Don't bother trying to read the complicated government handbook; try this one instead! When you turn 65, our federal government doesn't really give you a whole lot of resources to navigate Medicare. This book is the most in-depth book about Medicare I have ever read. For Medicare being such a confusing, complex program, it's amazing how this book is able to untangle the web in way that makes Medicare understandable. I have now been saved from potentially making several mistakes of which I know I would have made had I not read this book before enrolling. Required retirement reading Very good information about Medicare and your options. Most importantly pitfalls to avoid. This is different than health insurance pre retirement. It takes a change in mindset.

I purchased this book for my mother and I read it myself. 10 Costly Medicare Mistakes was the exact Medicare guide I was looking for and needed as I am about to help my mother enroll. The author made it an easy read and actually enjoyable. Who know Medicare could be so interesting, and yet confusing all at the same time? The author sure made it easy to understand and my mother and I feel like Medicare experts after reading. Thank you for providing such great information for our seniors!
