Olivia is shocked when Josh, her thirteen-year-old nephew, shows up at her home with a notarized document saying if she goes missing…. Josh suffered a fall in the past left him struggling to communicate verbally. It is difficult for him to tell Olivia what happened or where his mother might be. Both Olivia and Josh are frustrated, both want answers, and both want to find Lily. Soon Olivia realizes that Josh's artwork may hold the answer. Will his artwork provide enough information to help her track down her sister? This is an enjoyable first book in the "No More" series. This series is off to a great start as this book is full of family secrets and dysfunction which will keep readers on their toes. Lonsdale has crafted a book full of secrets, likeable and unlikeable characters and deception. I found it to be beautifully written, entertaining and enjoyable. Although I was not as blown away as other reviewers by this book, my three-star rating means I enjoyed the book. Overall, a compelling read and promising start to a new series. Fans of Lonsdale will not be disappointed. Plus, there is a little "something" at the end of the book which left me intrigued and curious about the direction in which the next book will go! Secrets and lies family style! Thank you to Lake Union Publishing and NetGalley who provided me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All the thoughts and opinions are my own. Here we are, first book in a new trilogy that has everything you've come to love in my books: suspense, drama, romance, and a little something that's slightly off. I can't wait for you to meet Olivia, Lucas, and Lily, three siblings torn apart by a series of tragic events who want nothing more than to come back together, even if they don't realize that's what they want... or need. I hope you enjoy Olivia's story in NO MORE WORDS. Expected review date: July 6, 2021 Olivia’s youngest sister, Lily, ran away twelve years ago, and they haven’t been in contact since. When a young boy turns up on Olivia’s doorstep one day, he comes with only his name, “Josh”, and a note, giving Olivia power of attorney over Josh in the event of Lily’s disappearance. Due to Josh’s traumatic brain injury, he cannot provide Olivia with details about Lily- is she alive? How did he find her? What happened to Lily? Olivia is forced to use all of her resources to find out the truth and reunite Josh with Lily, if at all possible. Doing this uncovers old wounds and family secrets, both of which Olivia has spent years trying to bury. “No More Words” is the beginning of a new series by author, Kerry Lonsdale. As with her other novels (I have been privileged to be given early copies of most of her other novels), “Words” is full of suspense, romance, intrigue and family drama. The story is told in two time periods, mostly narrated by Olivia (although her brother Lucas makes an appearance in a few of the modern chapters) , during the summer of her childhood and in present day. Right from the beginning, Olivia’s family seems a bit off (you just know there are skeletons in that closet!) , and the speculation begins. The three siblings are close as children, then become slowly estranged over time, each battling their own demons. The realistic depiction of a dysfunctional sibling relationship is emotional and honest, and I sympathized with all three of the Carson siblings. Lily’s son, Josh, has to be my favourite character. Lonsdale depicts his struggle with communication so accurately, it was heart-wrenching. I felt for Josh as he tried to speak the words that his mouth wouldn’t form. A resilient boy to say the least, he hitchhikes to an unknown aunt’s house, in the quest to find his missing mother. Lonsdale’s writing is smart and creative, making each chapter as addictive and page-turning as the one before. Her characters are realistic, and the family dynamics are dysfunctional and honest. The ending has a nice, unexpected twist, as is typical with Lonsdale, and yet it still manages to seem believable. Of course, not everything is resolved (there are two more books forthcoming after all), but I definitely felt content and satisfied when I got to the last page! I look forward to the second novel in this series, and I really loved the teaser for book two that Lonsdale provided!

Kerry Lonsdale is back and better than ever with this multi-layered tale about three siblings torn apart by a series of tragic events. Nuanced and smart, filled with characters with real emotion and depth, No More Words is everything you’ve come to love from the master of domestic drama. A mesmerizing begin to a new trilogy that will have you one-clicking the next in the series.

After reading and loving Kerry Lonsdale's "Everything" trilogy I was super excited to read her newest novel "No More Words" which is the first book of a new trilogy. Told in dual timelines this well-written suspenseful mystery is the story of a dysfunctional family and their dark (it seems never ending) secrets. I have mixed feeling about this book only because parts didn't feel plausible to me. However, it did leave me wanting to read the next book to see how the author ties up the loose ends. I've read every book that Kerry Lonsdale has written and she just keeps getting better. No More Words is the first book in a trilogy about family and love but most of all it's about secrets and how the past affects the future. Summers at the lake are idyllic and the children spend all of their time outside enjoying the freedom and the time they spend together. Years later when they are adults, the fun that they had together as children is gone and they are no longer close. Olivia is an artist, Josh has spent time in prison and Lily has run away and no one has heard from her in years. This is book 1 in a new trilogy and is Olivia's story. Olivia is a well known illustrator and is afraid to get close to anyone emotionally. Josh is a 13 year old boy who turns up at her house and she is shocked to find out that he is her nephew. Lily got pregnant at 15 and when her parent's insisted either an abortion or an adoption, she ran away and no one in the family knows where she is. Once a year she sends Olivia a letter with a picture of Josh but that is the only contact that they've had over the years. Josh is terrified when he gets to Olivia's but due to a recent accident and aphasia - he is often unable to find the right words to use and is no longer able to read or write. He isn't able to tell Olivia what happened to his mom except that she is gone! Josh is an artist beyond his years and Olivia attempts to find out what happened to her sister by using Josh's drawings as a road map. The more that she tries to help Josh, the more she learns about her family that make her question everything that they had ever told her. Will Olivia somehow be able to find Lily so that the three siblings can become a family again? Warning - before you start this book, make sure that your calendar is clear because I can guarantee that you won't want to put it down until the end. I can't wait to read the next two books in the series to find out more about Olivia, Josh and ivy and their quest to become family again. Thanks to the author and net galley for a copy of this book to read and review. All opinions are my own.

The book jumps back and forth from various timelines, from summers years ago at the Whitman's lakeside cabin, tot he present when the children are all grown up. I enjoyed reading about the past and getting glimpses of the main characters and what makes them who they are today. It gave a lot of background history of each of the characters in the book and made for great character development. I was hooked on this book from the very first chapter and enjoyed reading about all of the characters. The Carson family certainly had their fair share of secrets and lies, as did the Whitman's, and I loved reading about all of the family dynamics. There were a lot of twists and turns that I really enjoyed, and lots of revelations that I didn't see coming. A lot of tragedy, murder, lies, deception, and even some romance thrown in there as well. A great book that I highly recommend.

Kerry Lonsdale starts her latest trilogy off with a bang! Brimming with drama, suspense, and family secrets galore, NO MORE WORDS will have you tearing through the pages to figure out what really happened to this broken family, and who is playing whom. With beautifully drawn, complex characters, and a twisted plot that reveals itself layer by layer, NO MORE WORDS is a stunning thriller that deserves a top-spot on your “to be read” list.

Olivia hasn’t seen her sister Lily since she ran away from home, pregnant at the age of 16. But she writes to Olivia mailing her a picture of her son Josh every year. This year Josh shows up at her home without Lily. Because of an accident Josh has difficulty talking, reading, and writing but he can draw and his drawings are frightening. Can Olivia find out what happened to her sister? A good past/present story. I look forward to the next book in this trilogy.

The first in a trilogy, No More Words reads like a standalone that I recommend not waiting on. There's no need for the next two books to be out, Kerry Lonsdale delivers a solid family drama full of mystery, secrets, and love. Somehow Lonsdale manages to tackle all of Olivia's own personal issues with family and men, while also tackling the family drama that surrounds the Carsons. The book then moves back and forth between the present and times in the past. The main character, Olivia has wonderful memories about time spent at the Whitman's lake house. Unfortunately, present day is difficult and she's struggling to find her way. As the book unfolds, you wonder what must have happened in their childhood to have put such a rift between these siblings and to create so much dysfunction in their lives. This is such a well developed storyline. I look forward to seeing how it extends to the next two books. One thing I really was happy with regarding this book was that it didn't end in a true cliffhanger. It gave the reader a "for now ending" that leaves you satisfied with how things ended for the main character, Olivia. However, it's clear that there is a great deal more to be told regarding her two siblings. I can't wait to see what Ms. Lonsdale does with the remainder of this series. We also have Charlotte, the mom who is a successful real estate agent, but not so great at being a mother or a wife. Dwight, her venture capitalist husband who always wanted to be elected to office, is a people pleaser who will do anything to obtain his goal. I think the most flawed and probably least developed character was Lucas. I didn’t learn much about him except that he went to juvie, he was a hot mess and he had a hot temper. That was enough to set the stage for a lot of action in the book! Finally, there is the duo of Lily and Josh. Lily is the baby sister of Olivia and Lucas, and she left home as a pregnant teen. Josh is the result of her pregnancy. For years, Olivia has tried to find Lily, only to have Josh show up one day on doorsteps, with a duffle, no explanation and no words because he can’t speak. That’s mostly what this book is about, a characterization, a painting, if you will, of a family that has so many problems that it was a like a soap opera in print. The plot was well-written, but it definitely took back stage to the characters. I was mesmerized by the whole mystery of Lily and why she left home without getting in contact with anyone. I was captured by the death on the beach that Olivia’s family may or may not have been involved in. Ultimately, the entire book was a wild ride that had me captivated because of its riveting themes of family secrets, deception, and even murder. I loved this book and was so sad when it ended, so I am already looking forward to book #2 in this new series. Fans of domestic drama, mystery and even romance will be delighted to read this book! One of the many things I love about Kerry Lonsdale's books are that they are sometimes unsettling to read...and I mean that in the very best way! This one is about three siblings: Olivia, Lucas, and Lily. So finding Lily is going to be difficult. Alternating between the present and the past, when the kids spent many happy summers at their friends' lake house, Lonsdale paints the picture of a family of lost souls whose many mistakes follow them and cause pain and suffering. But Lonsdale is also an expert at the healing of families and the love that is possible when mistakes are revealed and admitted; redemption is always the goal. This one's a tear-jerker for sure but I was delighted to see it's the first in a new series! Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC!

We are introduced to the three siblings in the summer of 1995 where they are spending their summer vacation with the Whitman family. They are very close and protect each other fiercely especially Lilly who is not treated well by her father. After many happy summers spent there, cracks begin to develop between the siblings when secrets and betrayal present themselves and the past starts to unravel. There was so much family drama and heartache. The authors writing was superb, the flawed characters realistic with some of them likeable and some not! I am anxious to read the next book as there are answers that need to be addressed and solved and a family in desperate need for reconciliation. I loved this fast-paced domestic drama which did not disappoint.

LOVED!!! So lucky to have gotten an ARC of this book in the new "No More" series. Complex, interesting characters, set in one of my favorite locations - San Luis Obispo! Team Blaze all the way! OMG!!! I would give this book 10 stars if I could. Once I started to read I could not put it down. Didn't realize when I started it that this is the first in a trilogy. I don't know how I can wait for the second part to come out in Summer of 2022 An action packed domestic drama that has so much depth of family, lies, deceit, romance and all round psychological mayhem. Oh and just when you think you have this saga figured out, guess again!! Love Kerry's writing style but this one is superb. Thank you OMG!!! I would give this book 10 stars if I could. No More Words by Kerry Lonsdale is the first in a 3 book series about the Carson family. There are 3 siblings in the family, Olivia, Lucas, and Lily. In No More Words we get to know Olivia’s story. The Carson family is a complicated and dysfunctional family at best. Fourteen years earlier Lily ran away after getting pregnant at age 16. The family hasn’t seen her or the baby since. Olivia and Lily are several years apart in age and never got along. The family hasn’t seen her or the baby since. Olivia and Lily are several years apart in age and never got along. However, Olivia receives a letter every year from Lily with a picture of her nephew, Josh. The 14th year Olivia does not receive a letter. She doesn’t think too much of it until one day Josh shows up at her house. They have never met. He is unable to speak very well but he gets across to Olivia that he doesn’t know where Lily is. It seems that Josh has had a head injury and is unable to come up with the right words to explain what has happened. The sets in motion a search for Lily and Olivia digging deep into the family’s past. This family has way too many skeletons in the closet. To complicate things, Olivia is right in the middle of a break up with her childhood love, Blaze. They grew up together and dated in high school until she caught him cheating on her. They recently got back together but Olivia is a commitment-phobe and whenever she gets too close she pushes people away. I really enjoyed this book. The chapters alternate between the present and the Carson family in the past and what happened to cause the rift between Olivia and Lily. The author has a great talent for writing realistic characters with complicated lives. I absolutely cannot wait for the other two books in the series to find out the rest of the family’s secrets and lies! You definitely need to add this book to your TBR list! Fans of mysteries and romance will devour this one. Thank you to the author, NetGalley, and the publisher for the advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I've been a big fan of Kerry Lonsdale's since I read Everything We Keep and this book just helped cement that love of her books. Such realistic characters that I felt like I really knew them, family secrets, deception, romance, a bit of a mystery, and family relationships- this book has it all. I loved how everything came together in the end but left us wanting more. Could NOT put it down. Kerry, how I love thee. Her stories, I swear. She hooks you immediately. Every time. I absolutely love the psychological situations that go into her novels. And the words she weaves around them, wow. Lonsdale is the master of Psychological Suspense. No More Words left me with no words. I cannot wait for book 2.
