4 book-hangover Stars I'm not entirely sure what happened yesterday. I know that I spoke to people and took care of my family (taking care of family meaning I fed them PB&J for dinner), and I think I might have even had a work call at some point. But it's gone, all I remember from yesterday is Rhyker. And oh are they good memories. I mean the guy is almost 7 ft tall, is covered in tattoos, and shifts into a gigantic jaguar that you can actually ride. He is by far my favorite hero in this series. 4 book-hangover Stars I'm not entirely sure what happened yesterday. But it's gone, all I remember from yesterday is Rhyker. And oh are they good memories. I mean the guy is almost 7 ft tall, is covered in tattoos, and shifts into a gigantic jaguar that you can actually ride. He is by far my favorite hero in this series. His twin Rhyland being a close 2nd, but seriously I'm a sucker for that tattooed bad boy vibe. This is not who I envisioned Rhyker as, but fuck he is hot! Once again, guys be prepared for a long AF story. This is no quick read and the fact that I read it in a little over a day signifies that I have a complete fucking problem. There is so much going on in this paranormal story that you can't really talk about it without giving away anything. You definitely need to read the first book before diving into this book - so if you are at this point, I don't need to talk about all the characters since you read the first one, right? But I will tell you what I loved and hated about this story. Loved: 1. Rhyker and Keena - their chemistry, their personalities - everything about them was amazing to me. Not once was I mad at them. I felt their connection from the start and loved watching their relationship grow. 2. The mystery and suspense aspects throughout the whole book are so good - like I said there is a lot going on, and as soon as one issue gets resolved something else takes its place. 3. I loved how she pulls you into all the characters and their development, and you still get a glimpse at the previous one while reading. This book is told in someone in everyone's POV - she does a decent job in most chapters bouncing between characters to give you a full view of what is going on. 4. The world building and power abilities. She doesn't leave anything out. Sometimes is quite long winded and might give a little too much description about it, but when you are done with this book there is not a question about this world she has built. Hated: 1. While I can't imagine taking out most of the book, there was definitely a lot of "details" that just weren't necessary. And actually I think because she was putting so much effort into building this world there were a lot of "errors" or things that didn't make sense. For example: They do Movie Mondays as a "pack" every Monday night. They watch movies from the Human side of the barrier. So they talk about all these random movies and life from our side of the barrier. But then Caly says "lets do a secret Santa" and the girls look at her like a crazy person. How do you watch hundreds of "human movies" and not no what a Secret Santa is. Seriously, that makes absolutely no sense and just wasn't a necessary piece of the story. That is one of the many random things that in my opinion should have been caught by an editor or proofreader. And yes, it sounds dumb, but it's my fucking review and I can be picky if I want. 2. The Nico and Aleie storyline - they are what I believe will be book 4 and 5. While having their POVs was somewhat necessary for this story - we spent way, way too much time with them. Sadly that is one of my major pet peeves in books and it always bring down a star for me. I don't mind getting little quick chapters or side thoughts, but when I start to completely forget about my main characters because we spent 5 chapters with another couple, I'm a little frustrated. In the end this was another awesome read by this newer author, who in my opinion is going to do amazing things in her career - especially when she can start fine tuning her work. I can't wait to continue in this world and hopefully the next book will have a little more of my loves and a little less of my hates in it. If you are looking for a big series to dive into with amazing characters, huge world building and enthralling storyline that tracks through the entire series, definitely give this these Bad Boys of The Orion a chance! I received a free copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily reviewing this , all opinions are my own , honest and freely given. Ok, I am in shock, because I’m in love with M.C. and also deeply annoyed, she knows I hate cliffhangers and yeah whilst it doesn’t technically count as a cliffhanger ending, it leaves things unresolved for another character to read in future books. (Does not affect our main couple whose plot is resolved in this story) Let’s start with Rhyker, I love the twins I received a free copy of this book from the author and I am voluntarily reviewing this , all opinions are my own , honest and freely given. (Does not affect our main couple whose plot is resolved in this story) Let’s start with Rhyker, I love the twins, very very much and he’s my favourite of the pair so I went running, screaming and very happily into this book, threw myself in. I wasn’t disappointed, I loved it so much , it’s a long book, but I love that because I am enjoying it so much I’m always ecstatic when there is still more to go. Rhyker is a great alpha male, he’s badass, strong, a shifter , gorgeous and completely loveable. Like all the males in these books, not misogynistic, I would say the males are feminists (even when overprotective)and I love them all. Keena is lovely, a great strong woman, she has her weaknesses , her faults but she’s loves and works at it , that’s what makes he so strong and loveable, no miscommunication, always plain speaking. Completely loved her. My main criticism was there was a bit too much Aleia and Nico for me, don’t get me wrong I loved them both, can’t wait for their book which I really do wish was next, but I can wait, kinda ! But I just wished we were spending that time in this book with Rhyker and Keena. I kind of also hope Cecille is in future books and gets some kind of karma , please ! I loved this book, I can’t wait for Deacon and Starr’s book next (but still wish it was Nico ha ha) if you love your romance fully of great characters, an addictive story and great steamy romance, you will love this. (and to be ready to demand Nico’s book at the end) Thanks so much Marina, but equally I’m so mad at you for making me wait 😘

Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book from the author and am leaving a review voluntarily. Easing into Rhyker’s Key felt like being surrounded by the hazy, drifting smoke of the Indigo - a blue-petaled vegetation of the Species world best served hand rolled. Found only on the magical side of the Barrier, the Indigo’s flowery-like incense entwines about one’s head before dissipating into a wispy mist with no ill effects whatsoever. That’s how Rhyker’s Key affected me; much like a dream, it wound its way into my mind until hours had passed, and I had to remember there was real life to take care of. Rhyker, the dark, cold, and tattooed feline shifter, seems ready to hang up his days of conquest for good when he can’t shake Keena from his mind. Keena, the sweet mind and spirit healer with a side of dark and sinful, feels the same. Ah, but this can’t be a simple romance, now can it? Of course not! As usual, Orion’s Order of hot bad boys is ready for a new case to solve, and what could be worse on the eve of Rhyker and Keena’s new love than a she-witch of an old lover with a grudge who wants Rhyker back? But when the case is solved and defenses are lowered, danger continues to creep its way closer toward Keena and all she holds dear in the form of a dark fog. Now, a presence from the past threatens to tear Rhyker and Keena’s world apart before they even have a chance to create one. Author M.C. Solaris has definitely stepped up her game in book two of Orion’s Order. The characters are richer and rounder, the plot thicker, the mysteries deeper, and the sex hotter. Here, readers get to see more of the interplay between the men and women of the Order. I loved the camaraderie and banter between them as it simply affirms that Solaris has indeed thought deeply about each and every one of her creations. Solaris has also matured in her writing from book one to today; the flow was smoother and more natural. Hence, the lost chunks of time I experienced while reading. Aside from a few minor convention errors, there was naught about which to complain. So if you are a reader who likes your romance real and spiked with hot shifters, vampires, and danger; and you are really, truly in that mood to suck up some smoldering erotica, then look no further. Just make sure to have a cold shower near for when you come up for air.

I really liked going through Keena and Rhyker’s story and learning and seeing the whole order together happy. Rhyker’s Key takes place again, in the world of species. I liked how the book was fluent in pages and was steady. This was a bit of a lengthy read so mind that. We get to learn so much more about the order through the book. I loved getting to get more into learning about Keena’s past and Rhyker’s. I was so onboard to getting to read this book now that I did I loved it a whole lot. The characters had personality, richness, and overall were like-able. The plot had definitely spiced up by so much more and as did the sex. If you are looking for a book with hot shifters, romance, “soulmates”, and much more I’d recommend this book! Also— you could read this book without reading the first though I wouldn’t recommend doing it, just because you will understand this book so much better if you do start with “Calypso’s Heart”. And you get to see more of the world building and finding out more about it and how their laws work as well. With that said I can wait to read the next book in this series.

Their story was beautiful. And their wild side even more! The book felt dragging arround 50-60 percent and some descriptions and inner dialogs were really long. But then Nicos POV came along. And can I say he became my favorite? Because he did! I was looking forward reading about his and Aleia’s story. I think they were my favorite part of the book. I still can’t believe the next book is not their story!! How is this possible??!! I hope we get more of them in the next book! The possibilities are endless and I can’t stop thinking about them! I want to thank M.C. Solaris for gifting me an eARC of this book!!

This book is amazing! 🤩 I’m just trying to put into words my love for this book, but I’ll have a go.... Book 2, and I won’t lie, I’ve been anxiously waiting for this book. Yes it’s really long, but in my opinion the story is so worth it. Rhyker is a panther shifter, he comes from a well heeled family, he doesn’t need the money, or to get his hands dirty, but that’s not how he nor his twin brother sees the Order. It’s an honour to serve their world as hunters and there is nothing they wouldn’t do for their pack. Rhyker has to a favourite of mine in this pack (but my heart will always belong to Blake) the joker, the player, the first to back his pack mates in a fight, or a prank, loyal to a fault. The first book in this series had us meeting and falling in lust with him and who could blame you. But this is his book and it will have you falling for this big kitty, a heart as big as the world, a wit that is rivalled only by his brother. And a sense of justice in an often cruel world. Keena is a therapist, she heals the mind and spirit using therapy and yoga. She has a job which she loves, she helps others to heal from past traumas. I love how Keena works through her own issues using dance and yoga. She’s had her share of ups and downs, but meeting the Order brought a new friend (Caly) and a certain tall, dark and delicious feline into her world. The chemistry between Keena and Rhyker is just off the wall, they start off as friends, but Rhyker wanted more, and so stalked his prey with laughs and banter. He moved them from the friend zone with minimum effort. But he never pushed, he knew she had a few problems with an ex, so was willing to wait, he knew deep down, Keena was going to be special. The banter these two made me chuckle and smile, and their chemistry scorched the pages. The interaction with the rest of the group is just as important. We have the pack (males in the Order) and now the girls own pack. It was great to read how they could go from teasing and pulling pranks on one another to defending each other in a heartbeat. A new case has the Order coming together to discuss it. (Blake usually confirms with the council and then fills the Order in) Nothing new there, that is until Rhyker finds out who the client is. An ex lover shouldn’t be a problem, but with Cecille it’s a big problem, she tore out his heart and made him look like a fool. And from there on, Rhyker the badass was born! Tattoos and an attitude, and a smoking habit that’s unusual for shifters (this reminded me of a BDB book, one of the characters smoked, but his became an addiction) Rhyker’s choice of smoke is a plant based non addictive one, with a slight relaxing quality to it) But the woman wants help solving a murder case and the Order are just the team to solve it. But I got the feeling she was also interested in rekindling the spark with Rhyker. But that’s not going to happen, he’s totally over that female, to him, it’s just going to be a job..... Keena is being followed/stalked could be the ex (Liam) not a nice guy at all!! A controlling male who thought nothing of belittling Keena and then the violence! She ended it, but I don’t think we’ve seen the last of him! But it’s not him, it’s something much worse!! And Riordan does his best to see her future (Riordan is a Seer, but you’d know that If you’d read book one) 😉 Loved how we get snippets of the possible books in the future (it’s fun trying to guess who will end up with who, even when the author likes to throw in a few red herrings. 😉 But the Mastermind hasn’t finished with the Order, and now we see Keena in his sights! But with Rhyker by her side you would think it’s going to be fine, but it’s not fine! In fact it’s anything but ok! Could they be torn apart? We have a few secrets to uncover in further books, looks like most of the characters have a deep dark secret that needs uncovering. We still have the Mastermind to hunt down (he was the one who wants Caly and with his little minion Barker they had her briefly before the Order rescue her) we get glimpses of him before he retreats to fight another day. The book is told in the characters points of view. (And I did like the glimpses into the minds of the unmated males, I think they want what their boss has) We have a sneaky peek into book 3 (and it sounds like another great read) This book was more of a murder/mystery story, but with a heavy dose of romance. We also have a few twists in this book a few new faces were added (some were more welcome than others!) Reading the book, I could clearly see the scenes playing (hint, this would make for an awesome film or tv series X-rated of course)😜 It’s a whopping read 740 pages and for some it’s probably a little long winded! But I never worried about the length, once I cracked open the book, I fell in like Alice in wonderland and the world just fell away..... It flows well, it picks up speed, it’s full of laughter and can make closing the book for two mins (toilet breaks and life!) difficult but it had me racing back to finish the next page! And the ending!!!! Oh my goodness!!! Next book please...... 🦋

He is a member of the Order along with his twin, Rhyland, the alpha Wolf Blake, Nico the vampire and Deacon the computer geek. Keena is a mind and spirit healer. She comes from a middle class family and is sweet, caring and always wanting to take care of others. Rhyker and Keena have had chemistry between them since the 1st book. However, they just want to have fun in the moment and haven’t committed to anything other than the “friend zone” When people from their pasts show up and secrets come out, will Rhyker and Keena be able to get past the friend zone? The “Order” is a tight knit group who also include Caly (Blake’s mate), Aleia (a healer) and Riordan (an ancient seer). The banter, camaraderie, and passion these people show for each other just shows that people of different species can get along and coexist together. You know that regardless of the situation, they will have each other’s back and will do anything for them. I love how M.C. Solaris is able to write this story not only about Rhyker and Keena, but she also includes a few other storylines in between to give you some insight to what is yet to come with these characters. The story still flows very well even though you are reading about 10 different people. She writes from multiple points of view which helps to keep stories straight. This story has drama, passion, chemistry, tragedy, mystery, suspense, twists and turns, romance, and so many emotions (rollercoaster ride!). I cannot wait for the next book to come out about Starr and Deacon. I am anxious to read more about their relationship and hopefully delve more into Nico and Aleia and see what’s in store for Rhyland. I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy through ARCs for an honest review.

Our main lady in this installment is a mind healer. -Having previously attended college seeking a psychology the idea of a magical therapist is just very appealing to me. 2. consent matters - This is shown not only in sexy times situations but also in the use of magical abilities. This is particularly apparent early on when our main lady reflects on the difference between using her abilities as she teaches a yoga class or using them randomly when she thinks they could be useful. - specifically she is clear that consent is more important than intent. 3. The main couple of this book has their story arc well resolved while allowing plenty of room to continue exploring the world and this fascinating friend group. 4. Diving back into the species world we are following characters that have already been a part of this magical world for their whole lives. -I like how this lets the characters to do and understand more quickly into events What I didn't like as much. 1. Okay so our main couple constantly refers to each other in their inner dialogue by the phrases "that female" and "this male". The frequency of this in the first 25% of the book was somewhat jarring. Using those phrases makes since for the way books in this genre are written and does feel in keeping with the character's typical speech patterns but I would have personally preferred some variance such as thinking of each other more by their names, jobs, or similar. Random thoughts and who would I recommend this book for I continue to think this series would be a good fit for fans of the Anita Blake vampire hunter series. Rhyker's Key is a steamy romance seamlessly blending intriguing plot and spicy connections. I am looking forward to future books in the series.

I loved this book. I am just in love with the characters and the world, and I cannot wait to have all the books out already. Rhyker and Keena's romance was something I was very much excited about from book one. In this second book, we have Keena, a mind healer that is friends with all the pack as we saw in the previous book. She has a tragic past involving her parents that shaped her future and her relationships, and when she meets Rhyker, she is not sure she is ready to be with him. Keena was an I loved this book. Keena was an intriguing character, from her background to her teaching yoga, and seeing her grow to trust her partner and develop a loving relationship was all I wanted for her. She is a very real character with real struggles, so it's easy to relate to her and like her. And then there is Rhyker, the bad boy of the pack. What can I say, I'm a sucker for a tall, dark, and handsome type of guy, shifter in this case. I like to think Rhyker is a big teddy jaguar because, from the first time he saw Keena, he wanted her and did a lot to be with her, despite the reservations he had. He is sweet at the same time he is fierce and protective. He loves Keena and does all he can to help her realize they are right for each other. His faith in then was beautiful. The only thing I will say is that I did expect more of their relationship evolving. After they moved in together, I was expecting minor conflicts and all that comes with sharing someones' space, but I was not satisfied with this part. Instead, we got a lot more from other character's POV, which I did not mind at all, and I am so looking forward to the romance that I hope to read more about as soon as the author releases it. One thing I loved was that there is a lot about the couple from book one, so I'm not upset over not seeing the relationship develop between Keena and Rhyker because I am sure they will participate a lot in the next book, and I will be able to see them again. *I have received an ACR of this book via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That in no way altered my perception of the book.

*I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.* In Rhyker's Key, we are brought along the story lines characters who were introduced in Book One, and had major chemistry. The first being Keena, who is mind healer and a bad boy shifter, Rhyker. We also follow closer the Aleia and Nico (who I seriously cannot wait for more of!). The characters of Rhyker's Key are the same that are in Book One and are well developed, consistent, and show their personal growth. *I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.* In Rhyker's Key, we are brought along the story lines characters who were introduced in Book One, and had major chemistry. In all honestly, I thought I was going to miss Blake and Caly being the main squeeze… but I was surprised that I didn't at all! They are still so close to the current main characters that I got my dose of their love story, while being pulled along another too. That being said, it didn't take me long to be all in on Keena and Rhyker. Especially after some obvious interest in Calypso's Heart! Another high point for me in this book/series is the length of them. Some books I truly enjoy I just want more. More story. More pages. More details. M.C. Solaris gives that to the reader. At some points I will admit I find it a bit too descriptive. Without some description I would still be able ascertain the situation or emotions. I appreciated the fact that at the ending leaves us with questions, but doesn't feel like a cliffhanger. There was enough resolution throughout the book that it feels like a natural end, but definitely doesn't conclude the journey the Orion Order is on. Also Rhyker's Key resolved my only critic I had from the Calypso's Heart, which was that it was sometimes difficult to follow which characters thoughts/dialogue we we're reading. There was visual separation between different character perspectives. I am beyond excited for the continuation of this story and huge thank you to the author for giving us another kick butt story that I couldn't put down!

I received a free copy of this book for an honest review. I liked reading about the Orion’s order coming together as a family (again it reminds me of the Black Dagger Brotherhood), and it was nice spotlighting each individual coupling. Rhyker and Keena’s love is so strong and deep. I think it may be deeper than Cakes’ (smiling). The scene where she dances for him was so eloquent and telling (the sex scenes were good too). The way Solaris wrote their connection was all-encompassing that you understood without a doubt the soul bound. The bond surpassed being physical and was truly emotional and spiritual. This book really expressed love on so many facets. Take the time to read and reflect on it. Especially with what real life is throwing at us. One of the things that I truly enjoy about this series is the way Solaris uses humor and shows how each member of the Order is a necessity. Although they weren’t initial fighters/hunters, under the training of the males, all the female characters are becoming stronger and more vital (mentally or physically) to the team. Solaris shows how your emotions and mental strength can be more important than your physical abilities when faced with adversity. The way Rhyker thought through his answers regarding his relationship with Kee and her relationship with Liam to solve the mind puzzle was simply genius. That part of the book was my favorite, hands down. He truly understood his Fire Gem. This thing with the Mastermind is getting good now. He thinks he has the upper hand and I can’t wait to see what happens next. Nico melted my heart. The way he interacts with the twins is hilarious and his response to the girls (both female and animals) is so sweet. I am so missing him. Thank you for the sneak peak at “Deacon’s Star”. I most definitely will read it so Hurry up (kidding).

Wow! This book was like 3 books rolled into one! Just when you thought you knew where the story was going, it resolved that issue and moved on to another one, keeping me guessing the whole way through. This story is mostly about Rhyker and Keena. If you read book 1, then you know these two are firmly in denial about how great they'd be together (as most couples in this world appear to be). If you read book 1, then you know these two are firmly in denial about how great they'd be together (as most couples in this world appear to be). "Part 1" in this mega book appears to be all about Rhyker and Keena's horrible past relationships. Keena's story has abuse (fair warning) while Rhyker's is filled with a horrible woman. Both end up confronting their past, albeit not of their own desire, but it ultimately pushes us to "part 2." Part 2 for this couple is facing the big bad. We knew the books had a larger storyline that this one had to tie into, but it still caught me by surprise, just as the dust settled from "Part 1." With all the tough friends that are willing to stand by each other through anything, there's no doubt these two will make it out, but I was still frantically reading through to the end. What I'm calling "Part 3" has to do with Aleia and Nico. Sigh. These two! They are even more in denial and filled with all the martyrdom in the world. It's the combination of guilt and their eagerness to jump to the completely wrong conclusions that ends up getting them in even more trouble (maybe?) than the 2 main characters. We don't get resolution on this story, but they better deliver soon! To summarize, this book had smutty goodness, adventure, mystery, good friends, wild times, and a heaping dose of romance, making it possibly even better than book 1. I'd recommend you start from the first book so you get to know the wealth of characters where they started, not mid-way through their journey.

The relationship between Keena and Rhyker, hinted at in the previous masterpiece 'Calypso's Heart', is built upon, each scene being moulded so perfectly into your mind that you forget the world around you, with each corner you turn being another mind-blower. The richness that is enhanced more deeply as the author matures, and the love and care that is shows how much she cares for each and every one of her characters she has woven throughout the pages, makes each book more poetic as they come. I felt this book was on another level than the previous, with the characters more in depth, the ability to leave the book harder, and of course, the sex being so much more sexier!! Overall, Rhyker's Key gets the feels going, leaving you wanting more and more, and I could not recommend this book more!

So much thought and effort was put into creating this amazing world in which you can literally just lose yourself. The connection formed between Ryker and Keena is strong, their chemistry is palpable and as for the sex well, I'll just say it's hot! Their story is at times heart-wrenching, have I mentioned to keep tissues handy? I just loved how this tattooed bad boy had such a soft centre when it came to Keena. Ryker's an interesting character, by far my favourite so far of the guys who make up Orions Order, I loved seeing his softer side and learning what made him the way he is. As for Keena she and Ryker are just perfect together, I loved going along on their journey. I feel somewhat drained now but I can't wait for the next instalment if this series.

I loved the first book in this series and this one didn't disappoint either. Filled with fantastic characters, that I really love to see interact. Keena is still reeling from an abusive relationship while Rhyker was forever transformed by someone crushing his heart and stealing his trust. Learning to trust again is never easy but these two broken souls can find a way through once they open themselves up again. This is the 2nd Book in this series by MC Solaris and it was even more amazing than I thought.
