West has feelings for Blue but he kicked her out after they were intimate and then a video was posted of them in the act. Everyone thinks he posted it. The heroine: Blue Riley (a.k.a. Southside; a.k.a. NewGirl) – Blue is from the wrong part of town and has had a hard life. Her mother left, her Dad is a drunk and her older brother is out of the picture. Blue let West in once and was burned badly and won’t be giving him another chance. The Love Story: West has a history of bullying Blue and after she let him in and a sex tape was posted she is regretting everything. West knows he didn’t post the video but can’t clear his name because Parker knows his deepest secret. One thing I hate about these love stories when blackmail is involved is the fact that we all know blackmailers are never satisfied. They always escalate and the person being blackmailed has to eventually make a decision to be a puppet on a string or just out the secret before the blackmailer does. Frankly I think it is weak to let someone pull your strings, but at this point in the story we don’t know how bad the secret is so it is hard to say what you would do in that situation. I really liked how this story went and how the issue was resolved in the end. Both West and Blue were strong characters and had each other’s backs after the initial issue. I love Pandora’s constant updates as well (The Gossip Girl of this book). She seemed to have a definite point of view of the events she posted about and wasn’t afraid to call foul when she thought things didn’t quite appear as one would think at first glance. I am thinking Pandora is either Dane’s “friend” Joss (VirginVixen) or possibly even Sterling, since he seems a bit like a dark horse. Dane (PrettyBoyD) and Sterling (Mr. Silver) are the other two triplets with West. Note – these are just wild guesses since it never came out who Pandora is. Also, the side storyline about West’s Dad being a bad guy is certainly intriguing and only in a romance novel could there be the coincidence of whatever happened to put Southside’s brother in jail being connected to Vin Golden. Though the next in the series should bring more of what is going on there to light. Hopefully in the end, the brother Hunter will get out of jail where he must be enduring some heavy beatings or worse. However, as of the end of this book we know that Vin is a force to be reckoned with and our couple will not have an easy time of it in the next book. Later, Peeps... It kick started off where the first book left off, another slow burn which got its hooks into me taking me hostage as the storyline took me down paths I never expected to take and like an adrenaline junky I was loving this intense ride! What a way to bring in the 'New Year' So many twist and turns, so many hurdles these two had to jump through to just be together. ❝ I'm always aware of him, like he's always aware of me-two opposite sides of a magnet, drawn to each other because we're so vastly different. ❞ This was completely different compared to the first book where bullying was the main focus, this one there was zilch as its main focal point was on West trying to redeem himself after the leaked sex tape and trying to stop Blue from slipping through his fingers. This wrung so many feels out of me and I can't wait to see how the authors go about wrapping up the last book!! Am I the only one who would love to read her brother and Ricky's stories? If you've had your eye on this series and haven't taken that leap yet, this comes highly recommended by yours truly (4 thumbs up by me). 👍👍👍👍

I have read a lot of books throughout the last 5 years and I can assure you that there has never been another book that drove me as crazy as this one!! The level of anticipation I had for this one was uncountable and I am pretty sure that I scared the author by the amount of times I asked her about this book!!🤣🤣 I am sure that after that ending of the first book, everyone is crazy to get a lot of answers. So was I. And I am glad to tell you that some of my questions did get answered in this one but many more new ones arose too! But then that's the point of having a third book! This author has done it again! I am back to square one , i.e. obsessing about the next book of this series! The ending was perfect and has the right amount of suspense to make me crazy about the next installment. Then Pandora’s entry on top of that just drove me crazy to know what is going to happen! A definite recommendation to all the Dark Romance Lovers out there!! This series has everything my book-loving heart desires! Why do I do this to myself. Trilogies are just not for me. This one proves it. I liked the first but this one was just not for me. Nothing happens. Like nothing. Super long for no reason.

Omg omg omg. What on earth did I just read??? Just as epic as the first book, you'll be transfixed from cover to cover, and be gobsmacked from the bombshells that don't stop dropping. I've sat here trying to think of the best way I could talk about this book without spoiling the journey. But there just isn't a way as so much is exposed I don't think my head will stop spinning until the next book. I'll leave you with this.... it was everything I was expecting and more. Definitely a must click. Omg omg omg. What on earth did I just read??? I really enjoyed the first book in this series, but this book is in a league all on its own!! Everything was absolutely PHENOMENAL and I cannot wait for the last book!! Ahhh!! Blue and West are both still dealing with the fallout of West's cruel actions, and he's realizing a little too late just what he had. He's trying like hell to rectify his mistakes, but once trust and hearts are broken it's unbelievably hard to mend. I connected to everyone so much more here than I did in the first book, and the character development was just outstanding! And that cliffhanger?!? HOLY HELL. It's going to be a long, cruel wait for book three! I highly encourage you all to read this series, but you HAVE to read them in order. Be prepared to have your mind blown!! **I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**

4.25 stars you know that feeling when you love the heroine of a book but the hero is way too much of an asshole? and the girl totally deserves better? but then the guy realizes he's an idiot and... just... completely redeems himself? .. yup, that was this book. YOU GUYS. I WASN'T EXPECTING THIS. i didn't like West (H) very much in the first book, but here? without giving too much away, Blue (h) and West's (H) relationship ended on a very bad note on The Golden Boys. things seemed to be almost ruined 4.25 stars you know that feeling when you love the heroine of a book but the hero is way too much of an asshole? and the girl totally deserves better? but then the guy realizes he's an idiot and... just... completely redeems himself? .. yup, that was this book. YOU GUYS. I WASN'T EXPECTING THIS. i didn't like West (H) very much in the first book, but here? without giving too much away, Blue (h) and West's (H) relationship ended on a very bad note on The Golden Boys. things seemed to be almost ruined between these two, but then my boy West had an ✨ epiphany ✨ and decided to fight, once and for all, for the girl he loved. let me tell you about some things i really liked: 1. THE GROVELING there's something so satisfying about seeing an alphamale suffer and doing everything he can to earn the h's forgiveness. West knows he doesn't want to lose Blue, so he's desperate for a chance to talk to her. he even gets his brothers and best friend to give him advice about what to do. considering he's such a proud man, this was so cute! "Dane, Sterling and Joss have appointed themselves as some sort of relationship council, advising me on what to do next, and they all support the decision not to give up. Joss thinks it's romantic, the guys think it'll show commitment. I'm not sure about any of that shit, but I know I feel compelled to keep showing up. Despite having fucked up so bad, I need her to know I'm capable of sticking around, of being consistent. I need her to know I'm capable of sensing what another human needs and becoming that. Even if it goes against who I am. For her." gaaaaaaaaah. don't mind me i'm crying. on the other hand, Blue knows what she's worth and she doesn't make things easy for West, which just makes it all the better ✨ because then we've got him almost begging for her attention. i'm not kidding when i say this book has some of the best groveling i've ever read. i hope that, if you read this, you enjoy seeing him suffer as much as i did 🤭 2. COMMUNICATION, PEOPLE at one point in the book these lovebirds get together and just. talk. about. everything. miscommunication must be one of the things (if not THE thing) i hate the most about NA books, so to just see these two admitting everything to each other? YES. also there's a lot of mystery/drama surrounding this trilogy's plot and so far we've seen the two main characters working separately for answers, but when they finally talk about things, they become some sort of allies and i was ALL FOR IT. i don't know why but it gave me flashbacks to the YA paranormal books i used to read when i was a teenager, where we would see the MCs falling in love and working together to bring down the bad guy lol. i guess i don't read many mystery books anymore, so i liked to see this again. i sincerely hope they remain allies throughout the third and final book, because together they can be the ultimate power couple 😎 "We're in this together now," she reminds me. "As long as we don't forget that, and do what we can to protect each other, we're okay." 3. THE ROMANCE my babies are so cute in this one. i swear, once they stop hating each other, they are both so loveable 😭 "His stare is almost too intense to look into, but I don't let myself shy away from it. It isn't lost how easy this feels with him. How our pieces seem to fit together when we let them, when we're not hellbent on hurting one another." and underneath that hard exterior West is a complete softie for this girl and her family. i can't tell you the amount of nice things he does for her. there were some hints of this on the first book, but here he just took it to another level for sure 😭 literally everything from defending blue's little sister, standing up to any guy who wanted to pick on blue, going the extra mile to get her muffins without nuts because she's allergic to them. like ????? where do i get a guy like this? and there were also a lot of steamy scenes between the two 🥵 "Tell me what you want," he says breathlessly, making me dizzy as possibilities swim through my head. "I... don't know. I-" "Tell me... what you fucking... want," he says sternly this time, cutting in when my response isn't direct enough. His deeply spoken words have my chest heaving against his. All because, within those syllables, I feel his need for me. It's more than real. It's tangible, a living, breathing thing that exists in this room with us. "If you can't tell me... show me," he suggests. (...) I lift my hands to his smooth, firm shoulders, and as I press them down, he lowers until his knees touch the carpet." 4. Once again, THE SIDE CHARACTERS we got to see a lot more of Dane, Sterling and Joss in this book (H's brothers and best friend) and i can safely say i love them all so much. it was funny to see them all so invested in West and Blue's relationship. "My discomfort has her similing bigger now. "You can't just leave us hanging, West. You left something out. Something major," she teases, resting on her fist while eyeing me. "Honestly? I kind of want to hear this, too," Sterling jumps in. "I mean, if you two weren't getting it on, but you were naked, something sure as hell went down." "Did she go down?" Dane guesses. "No... you went down! Didn't you, West!?!?" Joss cuts in with a gasp. I can hear the amusement in her voice and I kind of fucking hate her right now. I'm shaking my head as a I turn to gaze out the window, avoiding any and all eye contact. This is about to get real fun. Only, in reverse. "That's it, isn't it?!?!" she squeals. but Blue's side isn't left behind. her best friends, her sister and even her ex are the most supporting people ever. this girl can't catch a break AT ALL, but to see that she has a lot of people she can rely on just makes me so happy 😭 i swear i want books for each one of these characters. i'd read them all (but let's start with Joss and Dane's romance plz thank you) OVERALL, there wasn't much i didn't like about this book. it was intriguing, hot, cute, funny, and very well written. it's not a 5-star for me because i do feel it could've been longer instead of having a third book to sort everything out (there are still many things to resolve!). but i'm confident the next one will be good, too. i usually have no faith in sequels and this one turned out to be even better than the first one. i seriously recommend everyone to read these books if you like feisty heroines and loveable alphas 💖

You not only see character development, but you also see a different side of him that you never thought you would see. The first book he’s this brooding, angry at life, teen who’s out for the new girl (blue), but in this book you see a sweet, caring, determined man who realizes his rights from his wrong. And while I loved the mr.grinch west, I most definitely loved seeing west become vulnerable. Blue: my sweet blue ;( she goes through so much in this book. My heart broke for her in every scene. And although many would think that some of the plots would be her downfall, you thought wrong. Through it all blue stays strong like the bad ass she is. Obviously she shows emotions when things get hard, but she stood her ground. In this book you see blue as this is hard, trust issued girl, that just needs a break from problems. I loved her in this book and I loved how she just stood through it all. Cons: I didn’t really have a lot of cons, the only thing I would put on my list **********SPOILER*************** ***********************************************************************************DONT LOOK DOWN ********************************************************** Is west getting that girl pregnant. I did not like that twist at all, some may not have a problem with it but I just thought it was a useless plot.

I tore through book one in about two days and really didn’t think it could be topped. Never His Girl BLEW Golden Boys out of the water! I read it in one sitting and I swear my heart was pounding nonstop. I can almost always give a few “it was great but” notes in a review, but the only thing I didn’t like was the ending. Without giving anything away, it sets book three up in a way that seems like things will take a bit to get stared. UMMM....WHAT IS LIFE?!?!?! Just kidding...kind of. This book....holy crapola, what can I say?! Best book of 2020? It just might be, if not, then DEFINITELY TOP 5...and that is saying something because I have read a lot of good books this year, but Rachel Jonas took this one and just absolutely crushed it. The drama, the lies, the twists and turns, the steam and groveling, lord help me (pretty sure I was panting at one point), but anyways...Blue and West. Talk about a power couple....this is the first book I have read where the female character gives it as good as she gets, both mentally and physically, and it was everything I did not know I needed. The dynamic between these two is FIRE and the push and pull, just damn. I cannot say enough good things about this book...but since I am running out of words without giving anything away. I will leave you with these parting words...YOU WANT TO READ THIS BOOK THE DAY IT RELEASES. If you have not started The Golden Boys, go grab it RIGHT NOW so that you are all caught up come December 26th when Never His Girl releases. Bravo, Rachel Jonas, BRAVO!!

Gosh, this just keeps getting deeper and deeper into something that I can’t explain. I can’t ruin it. I’m not even sorry. I love Blue. I’m like 50/50 on EVERYONE ELSE. My mind is still reeling from the bombs dropped in these pages, and knowing that there is still more to come is just killing me. I’m ready for the rest. I need answers.

I've got this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. So, this book gets 4 stars. I ask myself why too. I freaking loved the first book! It was a rollercoaster but it was so amazing I could not NOT read it, you know? This one? Well, this one was amazing too! I blame the 4 stars definitely on my mood. For some reason I don't feel happy, excited or even Christmas-e right now and I feel like that influenced my opinion and thoughts of this book. Rachel is an amazing author and as I mentioned before so far I loved every book I've read by her! This one is no exception. I really, truly loved this one. I read it in a few hours and I still couldn't get enough, the only thing missing from my side are emotions. When I started reading this book I had to take a minute to remember a few people and names, since I've read quite a few books, but in a matter of 10 mins I remembered and the dive begun. I was wondering how Rachel will let this book unroll and wether or not Blue will end up with West, Ricki or someone else. To be honest, I'm truly happy for the way she chose the book to go. Although, I did kind of expect some push from someone or something, which eventually I kind of got. I don't really know how to write more since there's so much to write about but it would be considered spoiler and I don't want that. Let me just tell you that this book and series is so amazing! I can't wait to see how the 3rd one goes and what'll happen with how the book ended. Rachel knows how to end a book on a really good cliffhanger, haha. So for now adios, See ya later, b**hes. Signing out. -L

The main question was if West really is that big of an asshole that he leaked the sex tape of him and Blue? And why? I was really hoping there was another explanation. But honestly after all the shit he put her through in the first book it wouldn’t have come as a huge shocker if it was him. I’m glad that we did get some answers in this book but it seemed for every mystery solved a new one popped up. I was completely obsessed with the first book in this series and was holding out hope that this one would be just as good, if not better. Let’s just say the authors did not disappoint one bit! This book was amazing! “If anyone knows I don’t have the right to feel a damn thing about where she is or what her next move is, it’s me.” So West messed up...again. But this time Blue won’t be so forgiving. If he wants to part of her life, he needs to earn her trust. It’s all or nothing for her, and I love that she refuses to give in easily. After all, she is the one who endures the snickers and sneers at school. She is also the one who could so easily see her admission to Cypress Prep slip away so its game over for her. She’s done playing. I love Blue and how kick ass her character was in this book. “I feel broken in places I didn’t even know existed, beaten down from the inside out.” West Golden is like his own freaking roller coaster ride. I hated him then liked him and then kind of sort of fell in love with him in this book. Yes, he is a jackass but for all the shit he did wrong in the first book...in this book there is a lot he does right. I like that he is willing to fight for Blue. There is a huge difference from the West we met in book one. So yeah I love him, but I also still love Ricky. I am a tad torn though that doesn’t necessarily seem to be the case for Blue. “His broken soul cries out to mine, and if I’m not crazy, I believe we might be the key to one another becoming whole.” I don’t want to say too much more as one of my favorite things in this series, besides the characters, is the mystery and suspense. We get a whole lot more of that in this book with a ton of drama and angst mixed in. The cliffhanger in this one nearly killed me. But I am hoping that just means the third book will be everything we need and more. This series is a must read!!!

Never His Girl is the second Kings Of Cypress Prep book, and picks up where The Golden Boys left off. It is not a standalone, and is the second in a trilogy featuring Blue and Wes as the main characters, so it does end on a cliffhanger. I really liked the love/hate relationship with Wes and Blue, and the push and pull between them as they both clearly struggled with their feelings for each other. He was AWFUL to her, and then just flipped a switch, and she struggled with whether or not to trust him. That clearly backfired on her when their sex tape was revealed at the end of book #1. Now we have Wes realizing that he's been a real dick, and wanting to make it up to Blue. He's no longer bullying her, but is becoming borderline stalker as he tries to make things right. Not stalker in a bad way, but he's actually really sweet as he waits to walk her to class every day, sends her flowers, upgrades her hotel room while they are at an away game. He really puts in the effort, and I loved seeing it happen, rather than being told that it was happening off the page. But there was still the issue of WHY he hated Blue so much... Finally, we get the scene where he tells her why he hated her on sight. I was so glad that Blue called him out for not questioning her about the photo his dad has of her, why he jumped to conclusions... And that also opened the door to theories about why Vin Golden has that photo to begin with. And we also get the explanation behind the mysterious situation with Wes and his ex, Casey. The secret that could ruin his future. It's kind of a doozy, and it's not resolved before the end of this book. Like the first book, this ends on a cliffhanger. And once again, just as Blue thinks things might finally be going her way, the rug is pulled out from underneath her. When it comes to Blue and Wes, she very well may never be his girl... If this is going where I think it's going, I can't wait to see what unfolds in book #3. I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.

Holy Moses, just when I thought it couldn't get better it did. This is the second book in the series, and has even more twists and turns than the last one. Rest assured some questions are answered but not much. There will be another book so I know the authors won't leave us hanging. I think I know who Pandora is, but I will keep a zip on it. I received an ARC direct from the author and this is my honest review. I am so happy I had the opportunity to read this book early. This second installment was amazing - such a page turner! It picked up right where the first book left off and I was so invested in West trying to win Blue back. Everything he said and did just made me love him more, even when he was lashing out because of the situation he put himself in, I understood what was at the root of it. Every moment felt authentic. Blue is my girl! I really liked that she didn’t make it easy for him to win her back... no, he needed to put in WORK and rightly so. But it wasn’t overkill... it didn’t feel contrived to me at all, the timeline was realistic and the road to the two of them getting back together felt right. Loved the moments of jealousy and angst spread throughout the book. I appreciated that there’s an underlying mystery that we have yet to get to the bottom of (I love cliffhangers, but I hate them too)! Just a really well-done story overall, with awesome writing and lovable characters. Excited to read the finale of this trilogy!

Rachel knows how to keep us on the edge!! Never his girl picks up where The Golden Boys ended, and boy were we in for a treat!!! Some questions were answered BUT major plot mysteries are a plenty! Blue is such a strong character (let’s be honest we would never survive a scandal she did). She definitely put West through his paces, activating #StalkerMode. West is discovering more of himself that he’s always believed impossible. You see more of their relationship with their significant siblings. A Rachel knows how to keep us on the edge!! Never his girl picks up where The Golden Boys ended, and boy were we in for a treat!!! Oh Nooo!!! Another cliffy 😫. Man I was so enjoying this story.... the cliffhanger is so well placed though and I can’t wait to read how things are going to unfold. I love Blue even more in this... she is feisty, strong and impulsive... I admire her tenacity and the fact that she gives West a real run for his money..... and what’s this? Are we seeing another side to KingMidas??? This series has me totally captivated and I can’t wait to read all the words that Ms Jonas has coming for us next!!

3.5 stars I really liked Blue and West. Loved Blue's bond with her sister, and West's with his brothers and Joss. I'm guessing Dane will get a book with Joss 👀. I'm also predicting Sterling with that Kendall girl, who's the niece of that creepy woman who's into him 👀👀. 3.5 stars I really liked Blue and West. O.M.G….my head is spinning after reading Never His Girl. There is so many things I would love to say but I definitely don’t want to spoil Never His Girl for any future readers. I absolutely, positively loved reading Never His Girl. Rachel Jonas and Nikki Thorne has out done themselves. If you liked The Golden Boy you will absolutely love Never His Girl. The Golden Boys is the first in the Kings of Cypress Prep and Never His Girl is the second book. Yes, there will be a third book that will continue the story of West and Blue. Never His Girl revealed more of a mystery that West is trying to solve but it also brought up some very terrifying possibilities that won’t be resolved yet. I so want to say more but again I can’t. I will say that Never His Girl is a must read (well, if you read The Golden Boys first). Never His Girl ended with a doozy of a cliffhanger so be prepared for that. I am going to be waiting on pins and needles for the next book, Forever Golden which I am hoping will answer all of my questions and show a HEA for West and Blue. Never His Girl has all of my favorite elements (if you read any of my other reviews you already know what they are but gonna list them here for first time readers of my reviews) twist, turns, things going sideways, heat, chemistry, emotions, and having my attention and emotions throughout the whole book, from the first page. I won’t say till the last as I won’t be satisfied until Forever Golden comes out and I know what happens next. My head is spinning with all the possibilities. Never His Girl captured my attention from the very first page and I could not put it down till the last page was done. I admit to reading everywhere I had to go so as not to stop reading as I really wanted to know what will happen next. I even thought about skipping to the end but I am so glad I didn’t as I would have missed something important. Let’s just say that I was very engrossed with Never His Girl. Rachel and Nikki really know how to write an unforgettable book with lots of my favorite elements listed above. I totally, absolutely, positively recommend…no insist that you read Never His Girl. Well, that is if you already read The Golden Boys as you will miss some key points if you skip it. You definitely have to read in order. I know some series you don’t need to but you do with Kings of Cypress Prep series. I have my fingers crossed that Forever Golden will conclude West and Blue’s story and then continue on with Dane and Joss. I believe they deserve their own story 🙏🏼. I will end it here just know that you won’t regret reading Kings of Cypress Prep series and it will have your head spinning and your emotions all over the place. Enjoy reading Never His Girl.

This is Book 2 in the Kings of Cypress Prep Series and it can not be read as a standalone. This is the continuation of West and Blue's story. Blue Riley's life sucks. There is no other way to put it. I love her so much for her strength, with all the crap life throws at her it is amazing that girl is still standing... much less standing tall like she does. West Golden knows things aren't always as they seem but sometimes it's hard to know truth from lie, deceit from candor. West Golden knows things aren't always as they seem but sometimes it's hard to know truth from lie, deceit from candor. West and Blue are so sweet together, I love the chemistry and the attraction between the two of them. I just hate all the road blocks and all the outsiders feeling the need to place themselves between them. The frustration is real! I am not sure who to trust, who to believe, and who to hate at this point. There are so many questions, but the ones that have been answered still don't seem to be fully answered. I HATE Vin Golden with a passion! I want to strangle him! He is a master manipulator and the little snippet we see from him in Book 1 proved that. I am not sure what his angle is just yet, but I know that it isn't good and I am not going to like it at all! Let's talk Pandora for a second, who is she? How does she happen to be at the right place at the right time, every single time? Who all is helping her? Or is she even just one person? Are there more? I can't decide what I believe when it comes to her. I have no clue who she is, I have a hunch and if I'm right I will be disappointed.. I would understand the motive but I hope I'm wrong. Then there is Scar and Shane, I love their innocence.. in most things. But I love her and Blue's relationship and I love that she has Shane to help shield her. I love Scar and I want so much more for her, I feel as protective of her as Blue is. Last but most certainly not least, there is Ricky. I don't know how to feel about him. I think there is something we aren't seeing quite yet, but I appreciate his loyalty thus far, and I really hope he isn't deceiving me. I want him to be a good guy so bad. I love him and want an HEA for him but West has my heart and I want to see West and Blue get their HEA it just doesn't seem possible but I'm still holding out hope! These books have completely sucked me in. I have read Book 1 at least 5 times now and I am already starting a reread of Book 1 again so I can read it and then jump straight into Book 2 to see if that brings more perspective to the situations for me. I am desperate for answers but don't want West and Blue's story to be over. These characters have really stolen my heart and I can't get enough of these stories.

After reading The Golden Boys, book #1 in the Kings of Cypress Prep series, I have been patiently awaiting this book and now that I've had a chance to read it, I can say that it was well worth the wait, except...now I need the last book in this trilogy, and I needed it yesterday. Gah, it's really frustrating when books end on a cliffhanger, but I guess it builds up more hype and anticipation. This story continues where The Golden Boy left off, with West and Blue at odds with each other over a leaked sex tape, but there's more to that story which we learn in this book. Blue's life was already hanging on by a thread, with all she's had to endure throughout her life, and the whispers, rumors, and social media trolls are enough to make anyone want to hide, but being the strong girl that she is, she returns to Cypress Prep, aware of the stares that come her way. As much as she wants to cry and hide in a corner, her pride won't let her and she's determined to get West out of her head and prove that she can rise above it all. West knows that he screwed up, big time. But instead of calling it a day and letting the girl go, like he would with any other, he feels something for Blue and is determined to win her back. Even though she refuses to give him the time of day, and he can clearly see the hurt and hate in her eyes, his persistence to talk to her and grovel ends up paying off. This story has all kinds of drama, twists and turns that kept me engaged throughout, wanting to know what would happen next. So many lies and secrets are kept hidden and the many questions I had after reading the first book were answered in this story, but now I have a ton more questions that I'm hoping the next book can answer. Blue's character is a lot stronger in this book than the previous. While a lot has happened and her actions have affected her sister, the love that these two sisters have remains unbreakable, just like the bond she has with Ricky is still there. West also has a close relationship with his brothers and it's nice to see him open up to them. West and Blue have the kind of connection that runs deep, but with all the hurt he's put her through, is it enough to repair their relationship? Did Blue truly forgive West or is she playing a game with him? And what is West's story, why is he trying so hard with this girl when he's never given a damn about anyone else but his brothers? And what's with all the secrets? Biggest one being about West's dad Vin Golden. What's his role why is he so shady? Guess we'll have to wait for the next installment.

Never His Girl is the second book in the Cypress series. After reading the first book I was left dying for this one. I'm super grateful I got to read this early. I was so excited to read this book and it did not disappoint. It was an amazing continuation of the first book. Each book ( including this one ) ends in a cliffhanger. Each book ( including this one ) ends in a cliffhanger. This series will always leave you wanting more. I'm loving Blue and West so far and their story. This is a bully enemies to lovers story but it feels so much more than that. Im really being taken on a ride. There's so much more darker stuff happening to these characters. So many secrets and I can't wait to uncover more. This series also shows how shit parenting is. I feel so strongly about that especially when I read books with it in. It honestly breaks my heart. So I definitely feel for these characters. Also the whole gossip girl, online blog vibe is a vibe and I love it. I'm obsessed with Blue ( our main girl ) she's such a good female lead. I love how resilient and head strong she is. She takes no shit and I love what she put west through. I of course do not want to spoil anything, I highly recommend reading the first book ( the golden boys ) What I will say though is I just loved that she didn't forgive and forget. She didn't fall for it. She was smart and protected herself and her family. I was so happy with that because I've read books where the girl just forgives or gives in and I cant stand it. Blue again is a strong female lead. She wasn't perfect for sure but she made the right decisions with what she had and I will never stop saying how much I love her. We got to see a different side to West in this story and I'm so happy. I love him so much. In this first book he was mysterious and moody. He is cold and dark but we really got to see some of his light. He's just a different character and there's not much to say about him, I think everyone should just go and experience him for themselves. He definitely has a darkness in him but that's what draws you in. Again he's a fascinating character and I can't wait to see what happens next. Overall Im loving this series and this book was great. I'm still left wanting more, I have no idea where this story will go but I'm definitely intrigued. Scared but interested. - I received an ARC for an honest review -
