What a great fake marriage story! I was pulled in immediately by Melody and her rather antisocial personality. She intrigued me from the beginning and watching her evolution throughout the book was heartwarming. Damon appeared to be the opposite of what she would personally want, but learning that they had so much in common made me love this story all the more. This author, as in many of her previous works, wrote this in such a way that despite never having Damon’s point of view, it was evident what he was feeling. He had such a caring, kind manner with a hint of jealousy at times as well as protectiveness, all characteristics that I adore. While there is not a lot of drama, this is primarily based on the characters and their relationship as they slowly begin to grow closer. This doesn’t have any action or lots of angst, making it perfect for a quick afternoon read to help get away from the rest of the world for a while. Heroine POV Safe (view spoiler)[no ow/om drama; h does see H sharing with a female friend and while she knows he’s not cheating, she is hurt because she needs him to share with her; h not a virgin; H not a player; H works for an escort service that does not provide sexual favors although he has done so when there was a mutual attraction and he did not do it for money although he was always tipped very well after the date that ended with sex (hide spoiler)] Triggers (view spoiler)[h and H were both bullied when younger which left them both with some emotional scars (hide spoiler)]

This is a sweet fake-marriage story in typical Noelle Adams fashion. I liked the MCs and how their relationship developed.

I just love Noelle Adams's books! This series is so great and fun! Melissa and Damian have damaged souls but work together so well! Their love grows slowly and is hesitant somehow because of their fears and insecurities. However, as delicate as the writing they grow together and long to be with each other. I just loved this book and it is so good that you will want to read it again. I loved it! I just love Noelle Adams's books! This series is so great and fun! Another enjoyable romance by Noelle Adams! Melody's mother is getting married and Melody doesn't want to cause any stress for her and her new husband. She wants to know the real Damian and in return she shows him a side of herself that she doesn't always reveal to others. Along the way their fake relationship turns into a sexy affair but when their contract is up, they both realize they don't want it to be over. After a few bumps in the road they get their happy ending. It was lovely to see the other characters from the first 3 books in the series. Noelle Adams never fails to deliver a sweet, sexy, delightful romance. A copy of this story was provided by the author.

Cute and light read! I've read many of Noelle Adam's books and this was on par with the rest of them. One thing that bugged me was (view spoiler)[H was an escort and I didn't like that he slept with past clients before. I don't mind the escort part but it would've been way better if h was the first client he fell into bed with. Without this detail I would've enjoyed the book way more. He did compare the past interactions as more ONS with no emotional entanglement so there's that. (hide spoiler)] Cute and light read! Purchased Husband is a bit of a curiosity. Adams writes contemporary marriage-of-convenience romances like nobody else, but this latest one has a rather convoluted setup. Melody, or Clarke as the hero Damian calls her (it’s her last name), is a bit of a contradiction. She’s very smart and made a fortune off a software business she created, but she judges a man she barely knows, her soon-to-be stepfather, based on opinions from his family members who again, she barely knows. That snap judgement drives her to set up a fake marriage with someone who works as a professional companion just to avoid her stepfather’s history of wanting to ensure his family members are married. Melody supposedly has a happy, full life, but we never see her interact with friends except for one person who’s her primary business partner. She comes across as someone high functioning on the ASD spectrum, and her somewhat remote relations with people made her enigmatic. As the story is told from her POV, that made the read a bit elliptical as well. Damien, the hero, is even more of a mystery. He’s the perfect companion—the plot hangs on the idea that Melody doesn’t know what’s real or fake with him, which is a fascinating angle to explore. And he makes a number of incorrect conclusions about Melody that drive the story in interesting directions. It’s also refreshing to see that his past as a companion, which included physical relationships when both parties were agreeable, is treated rightly as simply a part of his past. I just wished he’d moved past calling Melody by her last name all the time. I found it off-putting—almost as if he didn’t want to know her well, so he’d call her something a work companion would call her when he was far past that stage in terms of involvement and interest. This is an intriguing book, but the fact that it’s built on and circles around secrets, unknowns, and enigmatic behavior makes it a bit of a different read. It’s a solid, strong conclusion to an excellent series by Adams. Just be prepared for twists and turns and uncertainties—kind of like any relationship!

This is book four in The Trophy Husband's Series and it is Melody and Damien's story and definitely my favourite in the series. Melody needs a fake husband for six months to avoid some family conflicts so she hired Damien from Companions For Hire in Atlanta to fill the role that she needed. Damien is working on his Phd in English and he has taken the job that Melody has offered him to help his finances but what he didn't expect was someone with walls so high and yet she has accomplished so much. They have strong chemistry and they are really attracted to each other but Melody keeps herself away from the situation so that she feels like she has control over her life and they are also the total opposite of each other so it will never work out. Will Damien be able to help Melody get over all her insecurities and stop her from lashing out all the time and live a little or will he be unable to get through to her. I absolutely loved Melody and Damien together he was so sweet and caring and persistent even though Melody constantly pushed back and I wanted it to work out for them. I couldn't put this book down and I had to keep turning the to see what would happen next and it was so addictive and my favourite book of this series. Noelle Adams is an amazing author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book, series and other books by Noelle and you will definitely be disappointed. I voluntarily reviewed an Arc copy of this book.

This book was so great! I have thoroughly enjoyed the first three novels in this series, and this one is no different. Melody Clarke hires Damian Winters as her fake husband for six months. She’s convinced it will just be a business arrangement to appease her family. He is charming, sensitive and has great people skills, but the way he is written gives him a lot of depth. I really enjoyed the way he seems genuinely interested in Melody. Their friendship grows steadily throughout the story, and their chemistry feels very real. Melody is relatable in a very likable way, and I loved the way she becomes more open and vulnerable towards Damian as the novel progresses. I thought the pacing was very good, and the way the story line flows feels very natural. It made me both cry and laugh out loud, and it is the perfect book to spend a cozy afternoon with. It was very heartwarming to read, and I loved the way it wrapped up this series. This is one of the best books from this author I have read in a while. This book fits in very well with the first three stories, and it makes me look forward to reading the whole series again! Many thanks to the author for the provided ARC.

I like reading Noelle Adams' books. I know what to expect and still have a good time. I like her no-nonsense sense of style (aside from the fact arranged marriage stuff). Since she is single, she goes to Companions for Hire and makes a deal with Damian that they will pretend to be married for 6 months. Damian is kind, funny, intelligent, and kind of dreamy if you ask me :D Melody is not actually a control freak but she doesn't like to be not in control of the situation so sometimes things kind of get messy. It is what you expect. Even though Damien works for an escort company he says no sex involved. Not believable though, because in the past "the experience" includes sex if he wants to and both parties agreed. And clients would tip him. So if you don't like this part this book might not be for you.

I really like this series, but this is now my favorite of the four. I felt like this one took everything I liked about the other books even further. I was going to spread reading out over a few days, but I ended up reading right through it. I just wanted to give Melody a hug throught the whole book. She is very good at what she does professionally, but her interactions with people are difficult. She is trying so hard to keep her world in its narrow, safe confines, but that isn't working. He is driven to solve the puzzle that is Melody, and in the process he gets under her defenses. But he has his own insecurities and needs Melody, too. I enjoyed the blend of tenderness, heat, and humor in this book. That blend is what kept me turning pages when I was supposed to be sleeping. I enjoyed every page!

I really enjoyed this series and this book was no exception. I loved Clarke and Damian's relationship and how it developed so naturally. They would have been best friends for sure which only made the romantic element even better and more realistic. If 2020 has taught me anything - besides just how many different variations of hand sanitiser there are out there in the world - it's that reading is something I do for enjoyment. So if I'm not enjoying the book I'm reading, I'm not going to continue. Not technically a new thing for me. I have a heap of DNFs on my shelves, but I'm now even less inclined to skim or trudge my way though. I don't like this heroine and his past as an escort isn't my thing, so I'm out. DNF. I thought I couldn’t love this series more - but this was just the cherry on top. The slow burn, the banter, the chemistry ... it was all so good. I loved how organic and believable Damian & Melody’s relationship felt as it progressed from faux spouses to lovers. Their chemistry had me fanning myself, and their emotional moments really hit me with their depth. I was pleasantly surprised at how openly they discussed their raw feelings. It just all worked so well that finished this in one sitting.

My Favorite Trophy Husband! What is there not to love about Damian. I love how he was able to draw Melody out, I enjoyed seeing her growth. It was fun to visit with Pops and the gang again - that is what I most enjoy about his series! Perfect addition to Trophy Husbands and well worth the read.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series, but this installment may be my favorite! I adored Damian and Melody and thought they fit each other so well. Melody is smart, driven, and has no problem being herself. I liked how direct she was and how she let Damian know early on that she wanted him to be real with her. Damian is also fantastic. I really liked how he helped break down her walls, and they really seemed to grow together.
