Deputy Mattie is finally going to interview the man John Cobb who tried to kill her and may have been involved with the murder of her birth father. Although she relieve to finally get answers and is safe from him it’s short lived when in time for the interview John is found dead in his cell. As they investigate his death there only one clue a map that has Mattie and K-9 Robo leading them to part of a forest surrounding Redstone Ridge. As they start to get into investigating to try find why John Deputy Mattie is finally going to interview the man John Cobb who tried to kill her and may have been involved with the murder of her birth father. Although she relieve to finally get answers and is safe from him it’s short lived when in time for the interview John is found dead in his cell. As they investigate his death there only one clue a map that has Mattie and K-9 Robo leading them to part of a forest surrounding Redstone Ridge. As they start to get into investigating to try find why John had this map they are called back when a young woman is found and her infant baby is missing as they race to try find the baby Mattie starts to wonder wether what she was investigating before this may be connected but she has more things to worry about when Cole goes missing as she and her team are stretch to limit will she able to stop the killing plan before it’s to late. This was great twist and turns mystery with a strong female lead. I received an ARC copy of this book from the Publisher via Netgalley and voluntarily leaving my review.
