Another great issue for probably my favorite X-Men title right now. This time Nanny gets to shine as she's not only strong but her mission is new. On top of that we get some great moments with Psylock and my boy losses "friends" again. It's just sad how shit this poor guys life really is. Well worth reading as always. A 4 out of 5. I'm a sucker for any story featuring sentient AI / robots and whether or not they have the right to live as free beings, just as humans do. This issue however is a punch in the gut. Is there no exception to your latest directive, Charles Xavier? Must you exterminate all self-aware AIs including those that have declared mutants their friends / family? I'm with Alex on this. Dropping the virus on the newly-freed robots was unnecessary. The mutants could have gained an ally and instead they wasted the opportunity. Considering that the development of Sentinels is pretty much inevitable in any timeline, if I were Xavier and Magneto I would have cultivated an alliance with friendly robots instead. Also: did anyone else notice that part when one of the robots did not scan Kwannon as a mutant? What gives?

Hellions continues to be superb. I love the art and I love the writing. But, also, wow...this was a wild ride, with some truly wonderful moments...not least of which was Empath figuring out that Hodge was 100% robot. And then we have the revelation of Krakoa's anti-Ai protocols, which could bring them into conflict with a LOT of people in the Marvel universe. But the big, gut wrenching moment was the Hellions' ultimate betrayal of the newly evolved Right robots. Ah...there's just more to process her Hellions continues to be superb. Just, you know, go read it...it's good. Also Empath is still both the worst and the best.

The craziest X-Men title is just getting started, it seems.

Another title I've been tough on for its inconsistentcy and also Z list cast. This issue, however, was a step above. Good action, real emotion, intrigue, back stabbing , it pretty much had it all and ends with something which may prove significant, or it may not. The amneth comment from Wildchild was also interesting. If it can continue to be this good and add some characterisation to previously bland characters then I'm down with this. Last thought. True Value: robot fate = sad me. Another title I've been tough on for its inconsistentcy and also Z list cast. This issue, however, was a step above. Empath saves the day?! Who would have predicted that? Killing the Smilies is a mistake when they could have been allies. I get why the choice was made but yeah that's not going to end well. Still the best X-book right now. I'm enjoying Zeb Wells' writing. The dark humor is much appreciated. Empath saves the day?! Who would have predicted that? I'll be one of the few voices of dissent here and say this was one of my least favorite issues of the series so far. I enjoyed the scene with Empath but the rest felt drawn out with little payoff or progression of a storyline.
