4 stars I am such a huge fan of Lauren Rowe and was so excited she was writing an enemies to lovers duet. This is one of my favorite troupes and I was SO here for it! I can’t wait to see what comes next… Adrian Savage is the lead singer of the popular band, Fugitive Summer. They’ve lost their opener on their upcoming tour so Reed Rivers sets up another artist on his label to tour with them- Laila Fitzgerald. Adrian has it bad for Laila when they first meet, but after a few misunderstandings, they become a bit of enemies or frenemies at times. They are both insanely attracted to one another, but it’s complicated. These two… their banter is out of this world. So is the tension between them. I loved so much about this book! Honestly, the only thing that wasn’t my favorite was (view spoiler)[the fact that they both assumed the other were with other people because of straight up lies told, or that they let them believe that. I get it… it makes it more angsty, but that kind of miscommunication makes me scream! I’m sure it will be fixed in the next book so YAY (hide spoiler)] . I thought Laila was a fantastic heroine and down to earth. And Savage! OMG give me a sexy rockstar who loves his grandma every day of the week. He was cocky, funny, and has such a big heart when it comes to those he loves and cares about.

This book can be read as a stand-alone for sure, but if you’ve read The Morgan Brothers series, or some of Rowe’s other books, you’ll be in for a treat. I loved seeing so many of the characters I know and love from the other books make appearances. Lauren Rowe writes the best humor, the best characters, and the best steamy scenes. She has become one of my favorites and I’ll read anything she writes! I’m so happy that the second book in this duet is coming out asap because I’m thrilled to see what will happen between Savage and Laila now! I highly recommend this one!

Watching him fall in love with Georgina through other characters' eyes made me swoon for him all over again. It was absolutely the right choice to reread the entire Morgan Bros series, The Reed Rivers Trilogy, and Smitten before reading this book for the first time. I caught so many Easter eggs that I would've missed had I not done that. (Like Savage pointing out in his thoughts that Fish seemed so smitten with Alessandra. I knew as soon as I saw that LR was coming out with a hate to love romance, that she was not only going to pull it off perfectly, but she would give us something just a little bit unexpected - and that's exactly what I got. I know a lot of people aren't big fans of the fame trope or rockstar romances, but this isn't anything like your typical rockstar romance. I also loved that, like Fish and Reed, Savage was so different than other LR heroes. And can we talk about THAT FREAKING SONGGGGGG! I CAN'T EVEN! As is typical, the chemistry was off the charts, the banter was on point, and the swoon was overwhelming. I cannot WAIT for the next installment!

Damn! This book was so much fun! It was entertaining and addicting from the first chapter. I have a bunch of Lauren Rowe books on my TBR but this is the first one I got to read. But the story doesn't end with the tour. Oh, no! There are twists! And they are so good! Also, the author went the extra mile... Savage (the rockstar) composes a song about Laila (the popstar) and it is available to listen to on Lauren Rowe's website. So cool! I was starting to swear off romance lately but this book made it fun for me again. This is a duet so it ends in a cliffy, nothing major though. And the sequel releases 4 days after. So its all good! I need the next book right away! ***ARC generously provided by author in exchange for an honest review***

This is a rockstar, enemies to lovers romance.  Though this story mostly stays on the enemies side of things for now. The story focuses on Adrian Savage and Laila Fitzgerald. Savage is a rockstar God. He's lead singer and guitar player in his band. He has a reputation for being a player. As sexy and flirtatious as he can be, he's actually antisocial and closed off. He doesn't open up to anyone besides his bandmates and a few family members. But when he meets Laila, an up and coming artist, he has all these new foreign feelings. Since he doesn't know how to deal with his emotions he tends to self sabotage and lash out. Laila is a contradiction. She beautiful, smart, sassy and talented. She appears to look like a b****, but she's actually super sweet,  quite the social butterfly, and a lot of fun when you get to know her. She also puts up a good front. She acts indifferent to others advances, but she knows exactly what she's doing. She plays the game well. It seems that she's scared to get her heart broken, which is understandable since she's known to date jerks and douche bags. But she can't seem to get away from Savage. These two are equally infuriating! They are both stubborn as an ox. They are so similar yet so different it makes your head spin.  These two clearly love playing mind games with one another.  Seems as though they get off on the torture of wanting what they think they can't have. They have a way of driving each other crazy, but their chemistry is off the charts and explosive. Their sexual tension is palpable. They could avoid all the headaches and misunderstandings if they just communicated better. But what fun would that be, right? Their story obviously ends in a cliff hanger since it's a duet, but nothing dramatic or jaw dropping. It just leaves you with lots of anticipation for the next book. We just scratched the surface of their dysfunctional relationship, there are still so many things left to unfold with these two. I can't wait to see who brings the other to their knees.

But sadly it’s true…..Let me tell you why tho… The first couple chapters I honestly felt like Laila was like every other girl in romance books that pines over the H and has no control over her body, letting the H do and say whatever he wants, while she sits there looking miserable. Twiddle me Donkey Dick was I ever wrong….My girl Laila did a 360 on me taking her own advice by knowing her self-worth. They chemistry between Laila and Savage was so off the Charts Smokin Hot that it seriously could have burn down a house… After those couple annoying chapters I was utterly captivated by this story and had to know what was going to happen next. To say I’m excited to read Falling Into Love With You By Lauren Rowe Is an understatement. Audiobook review: 5 stars go to Andi Arndt and Jacob Morgan for ALWAYS doing a FANTASTIC job narrating. I could listening to both of them for hours.. What was super cool was how Lauren Rowe added the song “Hate Sex Love” in the story for her readers to hear while Laila was listening to it too...Good Lord hearing the song was hot! 🔥🔥and made that part more amazing!

Representation is everything for me when I read, and it’s what I look for among my favorite authors. Lauren definitely fits that bill, and I love her for it! The situation is made even more complicated by another guy that is vying for her and he is a professional basketball player. Here's the lowdown...Laila wants Savage. She's been following his career for a long time and she cannot believe he is giving her googly eyes. Somewhere in her life she came to believe you had to act like you don't like the guy you do in order for him to come after you. So that's what she does. AND...it works. Then, she gets picked as Savage's band's opening act when their current one falls out. They are together all the time. Savage is frustrated that he can't have her and Laila is frustrated that Savage doesn't come after her. She nit-picks all his little imperfections....it's the perfect love-hate relationship...almost. The almost thing...and this is probably me being "nit-picky" but it was super cringey with how bad Savage's oral fixation was. Hearing over and over about his licking his lips, sucking on a cigarette and only thinking and talking about oral sex drove me nuts. It was just too much. Also, the beginning was s-l-o-w! It was too bogged down and a lot of the information was repeated over and over...just like Savage's oral fixation. We. Get. It. However, there is something about Savage and Laila. I loved them really getting to know each other's true selves. There's a singing competition thrown in that seems a bit much but I guess we'll find out more in the next book, Falling Into Love with You.

Savage frustrates Laila, he knows how to push her buttons and she finds him difficult to work with. There’s a fine line between love and hate and when there is smoldering chemistry sizzling it soon becomes impossible to ignore. Savage has met his match in Laila and it was entertaining to watch the story unfold. They both know what they want and are determined to get it, so the push and pull dynamic of their relationship was intense. This is a smoking hot book that will draw you in an leave you wanting more. There's just bonus enjoyment for those that have read the previous, interrelated books. Shout out to Kendrick, Savage's bandmate and best friend. Loved him! He's ride or die and always has Savage’s back even when Savage hasn’t always earned his loyalty. He's a genuinely good guy. Falling Out of Hate with You is delicious, must-read fun! I don’t know how Lauren does it. But she does. She not only created this love story filled with passion, lust, desire, fire and love. Buckle in because Savage and Laila are about to take you on a whole ride! This book is the epitome of rockstar push and pull. I chuckled numerous times at their behavior then would ravenously read until their next heat fueled interaction. I really enjoyed this book. It made me laugh out loud. You want to talk about sexual tension. These two lived to piss each other off and I loved every second of it. You know you love a book when you go and stalk the author. This is my first Lauren Rowe book and won't be my last. I had no idea it would end in a cliffhanger though. UGH! Luckily for me, the second book just came out. So, I will be reading that immediately. I really enjoyed this book. It made me laugh out loud. You want to talk about sexual tension. This book went from mediocre to both Laila and Savage are assholes and I can’t stand either of them. No character development. No character depth. All the cliches one could think of. Frustrating as hell. Dnf 73 % in.

My Rating: 4.5 stars! **ARC was generously provided in exchange for my honest review.** Wow. Just wow. I honestly wasn’t expecting to get sucked into such a vivid world of rock stars, wild parties, and stereotypical groupies but I did… and hey! I could go again! 🙌 I can’t wait to get stuck into book two! Lauren Rowe just showed me what I was missing out on with this book! I can’t believe I haven’t discovered her and her books earlier but with how much I enjoyed this one, I’m kinda chuffed it was my introduction to her work! Right off the gate, you’re thrown into Laila’s and Savage’s world, schmoozing with celebrities and other artists in the music industry. Going in, there were a lot of details to get through, which at first I thought would be overwhelming, but once you start getting the feel of the atmosphere, the pacing, and start remembering who the secondary characters are by name the world kind of envelops you. The blurb practically tells you this is a hate to love romance story and when you’re first introduced to Laila and Savage and see how their story starts, you quickly realize how it has become that situation… and I’m not going to lie I found their escalating banter mixed with their constant sexual frustration HILARIOUS! I’m talking belly-laugh funny! 😂🤣 I’m not going to give plotlines away (because duh, that would be a spoiler), it’s really one of those storylines you really have to experience for yourself. But just know it’s romance full of substance and feels! And there’s no doubt about it, Laila and Savage have chemistry and spark. It can be difficult for that type of chemistry to leap off the pages and be believable but Rowe nailed it! I was constantly on the edge of my seat, all eyes on what would happen next between the two. I also adore the secondary characters that played a big part in making each situation, each scene all the more entertaining and intense. This is what you can look forward to with this book: -Hate-to-love -Contemporary romance -A complex rock star hero -A sweet and sultry heroine -Game playing -Zingy banter I admit I haven’t read much rock star romances in the past because I found the few I did read, the hero almost always was too arrogant, too cocky, and alpha in an off-putting way that did not make me swoon. But Savage is different. He does have the arrogance, and the cockiness, but it was in a jovial, good-natured way that you can’t help but smile at. It also helps that as the story progresses you get more and more insight to his personality and his life both in and out of the music industry. There were moments where you’ll find him to be the hot rock star that he is, but then there’ll be moments you see Savage turn that side of him off and he becomes so relatable and down to earth. Laila on the other hand is a firecracker! Lol. I’ll admit my thoughts on her changed with each new situation. But overall, she’s still very personable. Laila is this up and coming young star who’s still a little starstruck herself. In my opinion her reactions and her somewhat immaturity to certain things felt authentic. She’s out there, a little childish at times but I’m considering it as just another layer in what makes her character. Rowe has created some complex characters here. I love that they’re those more-than-meets-the-eye type of characters and the further I read, the more I was invested in seeing both their individual stories and where their unusual relationship was headed. Such a fun, entertaining read set in a behind-the-scenes backdrop of the music biz with a cool, steady-paced storytelling and told from first person, dual points of view. Besides learning about our protagonists, you get snippets of the secondary characters as well. I gathered relatively quickly that these minor characters have their own stories, and despite not having read them (yet), I didn’t get the vibe that I was missing anything in regards to the relationships these characters have with one another. Rowe has amazingly provided enough backstory that it flows with Laila’s and Savage’s own, yet at the same time has you intrigued to want to check out their books next. This is book one in The Hate-Love Duet but it doesn’t (thank the book gods) leave you in a painstakingly cruel cliffhanger. It actually concludes quite nicely — almost like finishing an episode of a really cool, addictive tv show that has a continuous storyline, and you’re just waiting for the next one to air. Luckily you guys won’t have to wait too long for book two! Other than my own teensy issue with Laila’s attitude at times that I was not a fan of, this book was hard to fault! If you’re a fan of contemporary romance books with rock star heroes, or if you’re new to this sub-genre and looking for your next read, then I highly recommend you give this one a go. It has a strong, detailed storyline, easy to follow, and doesn’t stray from its premise. The characters have unique personalities and will certainly hold your attention. There’s dimension and a great balance of romance, friendship, and musical elements within the story that makes it a genuine rock star, contemporary romance. There’s tons of funny moments throughout that keeps the overall atmosphere light-hearted. There’s also a little surprise addition towards the end that I thought was an ingenious touch by Rowe that makes it all the more believable that these are singers you’re reading about. Falling Out of Hate With You is a winner in my books! 💻 Full review on my blog: https://booksofthemuggleborn.wordpres...

A rockstar, enemies to lovers romance told in dual POV by Adrian Savage and Laila Fitzgerald. Can be read as a standalone but characters from her other books do appear. An entertaining story about a couple who have an unbelievable chemistry mixed with pure want and need, but neither want to admit it. Their banter is off the charts, providing the reader with some hilarious conversations and explosive arguments. The author adds loads of miscommunication and deception to keep you guessing about what will happen. Adrian Savage is the lead singer and rockstar god of the band, Fugitive Summer. They are about to start a three month tour but need a new opening act. While at a party they find out Laila Fitzgerald has been booked. She is a talented up and coming singer who is sassy and sweet. She is the only woman in the whole room who has taken his fancy and he feels a connection with. She has a celebrity crush on him and starts flirting. Due to unforeseen circumstances Savage can’t act on his attraction for her and backs off. Talk about making you feel sorry for the main character in the first chapter! She is disappointed in his change of heart and decides to leave him be while they on the tour. However, they just can’t keep away from each other. I loved all their staring matches, secret smiles and long conversations with their eyes. For all their banter they do not communicate in a healthy way and this leads to all the squabbling and misunderstandings they go through. They constantly challenge and wind each other up. This couple play so many mind games that you forget that they have an amazing chemistry and attraction for each other. The sexual tension between them is intense but they are both so stubborn. She is an excellent protagonist and plays their games so well. Laila only dates bad boys and is known for bringing players to their knees then leaving once she has lost interest so it’s going to be an eye-opener to see why she like this. I felt it sad she was happy to let everyone assume things about her and wouldn’t tell the truth but then that seemed her way of coping with her feelings for Savage. Savage is a really interesting and complex character. We see the cocky, arrogant rockstar who can charm any woman he meets and has the reputation of being a player. He oozes sex and is a force to be reckoned with when he is performing. Then we have a vulnerable guy who loves his grandma and cousin. He has a solid friendship with the rest of the band and will do anything for them which causes some funny incidents. They really know how to celebrate their birthdays! He is also antisocial, closed off and hates meeting new people. He finds he gets jealous over Laila and she has evoked feelings he doesn’t want to feel. His natural reaction to everything is to sabotage things. Loved the eye opening chat he has with Reed’s housekeeper one night. The rest of the band is made up of Kendrick, his brother Kai and twins Ruby and Titus. Fugitive Summer are signed to River Records run by Reed Rivers who you may have met in The Reed Rivers Trilogy. Laila is good friends with Aloha (from Mister Bodyguard) also Ally and Fish (from Smitten). Kendrick is Savage’s best friend and has noted how similar Savage and Laila are and that they both want what they can’t have. The last few chapters bring their games to a new level which will affect their lives for the next few months. The push and pull is captivating, along with all the subterfuge and bluffing involved. The story ends on Laila listening to the new album by Fugitive Summer and having a light bulb moment. It’s not a cliffhanger but more an interesting situation between the pair which will cause more revelations and games in the next book. It certainly leaves the reader wanting more and anticipating how these two will work out what everyone else has seen develop between them. Do go and visit author’s website for Bonus Material and Music because it really adds to the experience of reading this book. I am glad we don’t have to wait too long to see what these two get up to next in Falling Into Love With You.

Savage and Laila have one of the best love-hate relationships I have ever read. Their chemistry, the banter, the tension. Everything about them works. They are so similar and passionate about life that they are fire. Reading them is having fun but also experimenting feelings as deep as they do. I also loved the secondary characters, especially the bond among Fugitive Summer’s band members. Kendrick and Savage have this amazing bromance with an incredible loyalty and lots of love. I enjoyed it very much. (Will they be getting their own stories as well?) A book that takes the enemies-to-lovers to another level. A MUST read.

Lauren has a way with her words that hooks me in every single time and this book was no exception. Savage? Oh, no one is ready for him! He's about to ruin you in all the best ways. He is sexy as hell, a cocky alpha hole rock star that had me laughing, swooning, and fanning myself throughout the book. He meets his match when he meets Laila. She's a spitfire, she is witty and knows exactly what she wants and she knows how to get it... But when it comes to Savage? That's a whole new game for her... These two were like fire... The push and pull between the two was enough to drive me over the edge! The heat, passion and chemistry were off the charts. These two bounced off of each other making it a very entertaining read. This book was addictive and pure perfection. It had me laughing, swooning and fanning myself throughout the book. This would have to Lauren's best work to date, and a top 2021 read so far. It's a MUST READ! GAH, I need Falling Into Love with You now!!! 5++++++ Stars!!
