To be honest, she borders on being unrealistically naive which did bother me during the novel in some situations. I understand she comes from generations and generations of healers but does she not know that she can deviate from the so-called "only path" if she wants to? That she doesn't need to hurt herself to heal others always and that she doesn't have to have a kid if she doesn't want to at this very moment? She's a great character but that aspect of her personality just gets under my skin. I love the chemistry she has with Logan, though judging by the revelations in this novel things are about to get rocky. Logan is great to a degree. He's open, emotionally available and always wants to protect those he loves. It was never very apparent how cagey he was on certain subjects but it became very noticeable and worrying in this novel. My guess is an arranged unwanted (on his part) mating is afoot and that he's running from it but nothing has been confirmed nor denied during the story because he clams up every time something close to it is brought up. I don't know the situation fully but I'm looking forward to getting some answers to some big and important questions. The ending wasn't what I was expecting. It was a very open-ended bordering on cliffhanger ending and I wasn't mad about it. It ended at a very nice point where the story is concerned and it does make me more intrigued about what's going to happen next! On a last note, I would really love a glossary of terms with all the new paranormal world jargon that's being thrown around. It would really help my brain keep them all straight. My Favorite Quotes: "I knew there was no running from a family legacy. Of all people, I knew that all too well." "Remember who you are."

I’m not going to give a synopsis like I normally do in my reviews since this is a sequel just know that we pick up about a week after the events of book one. I really appreciate when there is basically no time that’s passes between books. As far as sequels go I think this is a pretty common case of middle book syndrome. We get to see more of the supernatural world that Daria now knows she is a part of but we still aren’t learning much about this new world. Daria herself is just kind of through into it and expected to understand everything that is going on and to act appropriately. Which is nearly impossible when she has almost no clue what is going on or how this supernatural world actually works. This was a huge let down for me as I was really hoping for some world development and we just really didn’t get that. Ok now onto the things I loved! I’m this book was steamy! Like holy shit there was some hot moments in this book and I loved every second of this. Also Daria gets some new powers in this book which REALLY complicate things for everyone and no one seems to know why or how she’s got them. The last like 5 chapters of this book were my absolute favorites as we FINALLY start to get some answers about Daria, her new powers and just her life in general! While I feel like not much actually happened in this book I do think that it was a needed plot line it just could have been in novella form instead of a whole book. But it did build us up nicely for the third and final book which I am very much looking forward to! Thank you Krista Street for sending me this ARC in return for my honest review.

Wow!! I loved this book! Learned so much about the community, and even had a few surprise reveals. The added 18+ content was incorporated perfectly to make me feel Logan and Daria's passion for each other, and their longing for more. Some of the best written mature romance scenes I've ever read! I'm excited to see what happens in book 3, and to find out if any of my theories are correct! Wow!! I loved this book! Learned so much about the community, and even had a few surprise reveals. I am loving this series! I really really enjoyed book one and eagerly awaited to read book two and it did not let me down! There’s more mystery and suspense, romance and of course love as we follow Daria and Logan on their journey and don’t get me started on the twists and turns! I can’t wait to read the next book!

I don’t know how to feel about this book. With about an hour left in the book I was getting really frustrated. To start Daria and Logan are separated, both doing their own jobs. But they are chatting on the phone and looking forward to getting together. Then Logan warns her of rogue wolves where she’s headed. He tells her they are murderous and not to be trusted. But they are chatting on the phone and looking forward to getting together. Then Logan warns her of rogue wolves where she’s headed. He tells her they are murderous and not to be trusted. This is the first point in the book where I kind of wanted to smack some sense into Daria. In the first book she was taken in by her fathers innocent act. Then he convinced her to leave everyone and met him alone. After which he brutally attacked her. I mean I could see it a little because it’s her estranged dad. This time though I was just left yelling at her stupidity. In this book She does THE EXACT SAME THING!!!!! Her instincts were screaming at her and she called it paranoia. She figures out this stranger is a werewolf. She doesn’t run like Logan told her too. Instead she invites him to eat with them. Then she lets the innocent act pull her in. She gets a text from an unknown # saying it’s Logan and she just trusts it. Trusts that he can’t find her huge bus in a deserted park and leaves the safety of it and her friends to go find him in this park. WOW I hope she gets smarter especially since I enjoyed the 1st book…. I don’t know the whole middle of the book was ok. It just felt so similar to the 1st book. Even her not being able to touch anyone. Then we get to the irritating part. Crystal. I was so sick of crystal being brought up and hinted at. If anyone doesn’t want to know who crystal is stop here. It was pretty darn obvious but I’m going to spell it out anyway bc it irritated and confused me a little. Crystal is Logan’s supposed fiancé, (gasp), please like we couldn’t see that coming a mile away. He’s this super dominant wolf that I’m guessing was promised to crystal but he doesn’t want to mate her. This is where the book really bothered me. Logan has told Daria that he will mate her, make her his. Then crystal starts spouting off how he’s hers. Why in the world didn’t Logan cut this woman off and spell it out for Daria. He just stood there looking guilty and saying “we need to talk.” He’s this super dominant Alfa. It was completely opposite of his character. I get the plot line needed her to be upset so she’d run away but it just didn’t make sense to me. Also the fact that he NEVER told her: she tells him of another potential mate she’s run into. He tells her he wants to mate her so he should have just told her. Again I know it was bc of the plot but it just made absolute no sense…. However finding out what she is drew me back in. I was ready to put the series down and come back to it later but after finishing it I want to know what’s going to happen/ I’m just hoping she bucks up, stops crying and stops being an idiot.

A very good second installment in the Supernatural Community series. This novel follows Daria as she learns more about herself, the man she loves, and the supernatural world. While there wasn’t the same type of suspense in this book as there was in its predecessor (i.e. there was no stalker), the book was definitely suspenseful. This story was a more traditionally supernatural one, rather than having stalker and supernatural storylines mixed together. I also enjoyed the development of Logan and Daria’s relationship in this installment. My main complaint with the first novel was the emphasis on lust in their relationship, but now they’ve actually gotten a chance to know each other. We definitely got to know a lot more about Logan than in the first book. My primary issue with this story was the writing. It was very repetitious. Particularly in Daria’s internal monologues, she kept repeating the same thoughts over and over again. Because of this, there were certain parts of the novel that seemed somewhat slow to me, and I found myself losing interest. However, the last 35% of the book really picked up, and I was riveted by the end. While some questions were resolved, many more were left unanswered. The cliffhanger leaves you wondering while not making you overly anxious, which is something I appreciated. I will definitely be reading the third book in this series, and I recommend you do as well! *I received an ARC of this novel. This is my complete and honest review.*

Daria continues her journey into the before unknown supernatural only to find that once again she is one of a kind and as in the human world she is both revered and feared/hated. This is quick read. More sexual tension in this one. I love how Daria is willing to take chances despite how naive she is sometimes not wise chances but she is not willing to just stand by and let Logan control what she does. I absolutely LOVED this book! Be sure you've read the first in the series before reading this, or you'll be a wee bit confused about what's going on. Daria is enjoying her new relationship with hot werewolf soldier Logan, and learning about the supernatural community she's now part of. Along the way there are a number of MAJOR surprises, and a whopper of a reveal at the end! Logan is still keeping a few things to himself, and he'll probably end up regretting that. I loved Magic in Light, the first book in Krista Street’s Supernatural Community series (separately reviewed) and have been eagerly awaiting its sequel. This series just keeps getting better and better! Logan has got a lot of explaining to do in the next installment and I can't wait to see what happens. Daria keeps finding out more and more things about herself and others that she isn't sure she wants to know. Will they be able to keep their love for each other alive? Good Daria now knows she is only one of many supernaturals, but when she has en experience that leads to a dark power manifesting inside her, suddenly she is thrust into the center of supernatural life as she tries to learn more about it. This is the second in the series, and we learn a little more about who and what Daria is. We also learn a little more about the rest of the supernatural world! An enjoyable read, recommended for urban fantasy fans.

Okay I was so upset at the beginning of the book. She’s just too trusting and naive and, in my mind, kind of stupid. But really, none of the people who raised her taught her about self preservation. She trusts everyone. And blindly leaps into everything. It got better for a bit, and then she did it again with her blind leaping in a panic. I almost done want to read the next book, but I still want to see what happens.

The relationship between Dar and Logan progressed pretty well in this book until the end. I really wanted to smack him for being secretive when Dar specifically asked him to be truthful with her. In a way, his a aversion to discuss Crystal seemed more orchestrated to advance the plot than a realistic relationship issue. I hope Dar doesn't let him off the hook easily after that nonsense. Despite that flaw, I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series. The relationship between Dar and Logan progressed pretty well in this book until the end. 4.7 Stars of slow burn I am really enjoying this series. So many twists and turns, and it's like Harry Potter a little with the marketplace. We finally found out what Logan is hiding from and also the missing piece of the Daria power puzzle. There was a little heat and trading as well. The author did a nice job of explaining the blindfolded scene. 4.7 Stars of slow burn I am really enjoying this series. Great The story is really developing. Dar has discovered she holds more powers than her light. She must delve into her past to learn how to control them. It’s a quick and easy read.
