This book sucked. Don't let the title fool you, you have to read the fine print, it's only about the making of the movie. I dont want a freaking behind the scenes, I want the actual info goddamnit!

It's more like a DVD extra than a real book. Not worthwhile.

I've always wanted to know how people decide to make documentaries on current issues. Now I know how movies are made a bit, too!

Oh my gosh, this was terrible. I almost DNF-ed it, but I hate doing that. A little background - I used to work at WalMart. I was in the electronics department and I lasted about 3 weeks (until I got a much better job) because WalMart is a soul-sucking corporation. I sincerely congratulate anyone who can last longer than me: You are the true heroes. I picked this up for $3 dollars at a library bookstore because I thought it would give me more reason to hate WalMart. I'd even be okay if if gave me r Oh my gosh, this was terrible. I picked this up for $3 dollars at a library bookstore because I thought it would give me more reason to hate WalMart. I'd even be okay if if gave me reason to love WalMart (like that'd ever happen). The reason I'm giving this book 1 star (and it really doesn't deserve that, but if I did nothing Goodreads wouldn't say I read it) is because the book really wasn't about WalMart at all; it was about making a documentary about WalMart. I don't care about that one single itty bitty iota. I'd like to remedy the title to The Making of the Documentary: Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price. It really helped with some bad bouts of insomnia, though.

I really hate to come off on any comment as a follower, but the book was just a precursor to the DVD. Yes, I loved the cover, it grabbed me by the collar from the shelf and I feel great remorse for having spent any money on the purchase. To think how far that $16.00 would have gotten be at a used book store.. Better not to think about it.
