Ledeen is an expert on Iran, so I always try to read his books on the topic. This slim book looks at why the West seems to consistently give a pass to truly evil regimes (like those of Hitler, Stalin, etc.) until it's cost more lives than it should have, and will cost more lives to rid the world of such tyrants. It also gives a brief but clear overview of what it's like to live under the mullahs in Iran, something one gets very little of in the mainstream press/media these days. Anyone who is interested in women's rights, or the plight of women in the world, needs to know this stuff. Why women in the free world aren't shouting from the rooftops about this is beyond me! He ends it with good arguments for what we should be doing now to help the Iranians overthrown their tyrants and why it's in our interest to do so. Overall, highly recommended reading.

Quick read, good for high level discussion but not very in depth. Asks the question, why don't we see evil when it is front of our eyes? Because we can't imagine people so different from our own image that we can't believe the horrors of Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Pol Pot, Castro, Rwanda, Darfur, etc. Documents how Iran has declared war on the US and backed it up with attack on US embassy in Beirut and primary supporters of Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, Hamas, al Qaeda in Iraq, etc. The US State Dep Quick read, good for high level discussion but not very in depth. This is a "non-fiction" book. It is about "Iran and the War against the West." It should be very interesting. This is a "non-fiction" book. It is about "Iran and the War against the West." It should be very interesting.
