Habaek, the moody water god who rescued Soah's village from famine and drought, is also dealing with a curse that turns him into a child during the day and reverts him to his true adult form at night. While some of the inhabitants of his domain are friendly to his human bride — and some are a bit too friendly — Habaek has kept his curse secret from Soah, who's become completely confused by all the attention and resentment her presence brings! The fact that Soah has yet to figure out that Mui and Habaek are the same person is getting a bit annoying. The way it's drawn out has kinda of squeezed the suspense out of it. Now I just want her to find out so the story can move forward. Good thing Huye and this Emperor guy are so intriguing. I swear at the moment this is the only series that I can read. I love this manhwa series and I would really recommend it. I guarantee it will be nothing like you've ever read before!

5 stars for the art, and 3 stars for the story. The art is some of the most beautiful I have seen in manhwa or graphic novel. The story is meh, but it has it's moments. 5 stars for the art, and 3 stars for the story. The art is some of the most beautiful I have seen in manhwa or graphic novel. Nakbin as back and she makes Mura look like an Angel (aka my hi bitch moment). But Nakbin and her attitude and reveal does lead to fun times for Huye and Soah. And also Red String porn because I'm a whore for Red String apparently. It does use the Korean form and Wol-Ha who has stunning imagery. This is a volume I didn't expect there is a lot of story development in a relatively short amount of time. Red String is always a pleasure. And there is some wonderful character design in this volume. Beauty, masks, and costuming all of it works really well. Some random notes. • Nakbin is now known as Yeo-Wa. She is supposedly human, but I doubt it. She is too manipulative, knows too much. • Soah and Habaek's first meeting is full redrawn and included as a mini-comic. It is just as cute as I hoped. It's written in mixed perspective. • The villain for this arc is revealed. The Emperor. He is much more than he appears and his drawn to Soah for the reason that she is hidden from him. There is definitely more being on with him, Soah, Huye and Habaek. But the bet Habaek wanted to win was with The Emperor. (view spoiler)[• Huye and Nakbin's relationship has been outed by Huye's words. He loved Nakbin more than anyone else because he had to, Nakbin is has sister. (hide spoiler)] I will show you... that I can go against you co-called fate. — Mui/Habaek (This really has a wonderful portrait with it. His outfit is striking)A representative gif:

Vemos como los sentimientos de él se van haciendo mas notorios.a pesar de la aparicion de Nakbin que en realidad no se sabe si es ella . Lo unico que me molesta como en todas estas historias romanticas es q todo podria ser mas sencillo si se hablaran.hablen!! Huye le dice a soah q fue su hermana.nakbin. y tmb aparecio otro personaje el emperador q no se sabe aun cual es su papel. Al ser los dibujos en blanco y negro le da el extra de poder imaginar los colores...hermosos!

Beautiful artwork. It may be the translation, but the story is choppy. None of the characters have really developed and the relationship between Soah and Habaek/Mui is unhealthy to say the very least. I found the first five volumes at a used book store, but I won't be making any efforts to read/find the rest. Beautiful artwork. It may be the translation, but the story is choppy. Soah pleads with Mui (still ignorant that he is in fact Habaek) to save the girl. He warns her she might regret it. Mui is told by the doctor-god that the girl is a mute but Soah soon learns otherwise as the woman has nothing good to say to her. The story starts muddling a bit here. The woman looks like and might even be Habaek’s first human wife, Nakbin but he doesn’t believe it. Certainly some of the gods are conspiring to do something. General Hyue takes Soah away since Habaek is in a bad mood, taking her to his hometown, a place of great beauty, an act the others try to use to sow seeds of mistrust in Habaek’s mind. Sadly I’m not sure I’m going to find out what happens next. I need to investigate since I’d heard Darkhorse canceled this manga (big surprise. I’m wondering why they even bother to put up the small manga any more. Everyone is going to those horrible omnibuses which are hard to read and shelve being so darn big).

This bride seems harmless but Habaek quickly forms a bond with her because he thinks she looks exactly like Nakbin, his first human bride. Basically the addition of the Nakbin look alike pushes Soah to seek the truth outside of the palace walls. She turns to Huye because he has promised to take care of her. The reader will get to learn some very interesting secrets about Huye in this book and I for one think I underestimated his character. He seems like a man on a mission and I just have to wonder exactly what he hopes to do in this series. Is he going against the water God or is he on his side. I think only time will tell how all of these new plot twists are going to work themselves out. 4 Hearts

How long will his servant keep away? Will she accept it? She is already the fiance`e but she does not yet know that Mui is also her future husband. Can she get to know before Nakbin comes to steal him away? I loveee this story! ;3 So romantic! I'd recommend this Manhwa fo those who love to read anime and can understand the way to read a comic. mY FAVORITE CHARACTER IS sOAH She is selfish yes, and has a lot to learn about the water god and his kingdom. She's so mysterious! This is the first book of the water god series that i've read! I hope I can get to read more!

And so ‘Nakbin’ pulls the stereotypical bitch move—turn boy against girl and smirk in the background. Of course there’s a Unicorn Pegasus called Lin and a very complicated love trapezium with Soah and Hu-Ye. Ugh. I swear the characters are all so weak willed and lifeless. I don’t get Mui—on one hand he’s like, ‘I will be with Nakbin or I will die’ and on the other he’s like, ‘claws off Soah, bitch’. Soah, as usual is as dimwitted as ever. Every time someone knocks her out she’s like; umm, did I fall asleep? Bitch please. P.S: THE BUTTERFLIES ARE KILLING MEEEEEEEEEE!

(I keep reading because I need to know if this gets better. Because how the hell has this amassed a lot of fans if the plot continues this way? If the characters continue to be this uninteresting? If everything remains cliched?) (But sheesh, can I really hold on for too long? lmao.)

The art is a strange mix of gorgeous flower and architectural details, and then strange inhuman looking figures that look about 7ft tall and have 8in long fingers. The story is not quite together with the art, i cant put my finger on what exactly is missing. I suspect there is not enough character development because the art is everything to this series. Imagine the 'Dark Shadows' soap opera as a manga. artwork still great. story picked up a bit but I still feel like the author skips a bit of the interaction between characters, that might influence there actions. like I still can't figure out why soah thinks habaek is so sweet. certainly wasn't in any of the panels I read. maybe have to reread it. was probably hurried and focused on just the art. artwork still great. story picked up a bit but I still feel like the author skips a bit of the interaction between characters, that might influence there actions. like I still can't figure out why soah thinks habaek is so sweet. certainly wasn't in any of the panels I read. maybe have to reread it. was probably hurried and focused on just the art.

I thought the abrupt scene changes would smooth out, and things would start developing, but by book four events have become repetitive and the heroine can't tell right from left. She gets more aggravating as the situation stays exactly the same and she can't figure anything out! I am now struggling through, and if things don't change by the next two books, I am OUT. Soah shouldn't of let Habaek/Mui to save her, because that girl is quite a bother to Habaek's relationship with Soah. I'm still ashamed that Habaek didn't tell Soah that Mui is actually him.
