On offer in this book is a well-organized cross-section of easy to follow American Chinese classic dishes including General Tso's chicken, various lo mien and fried rices, and a sampling of vegetarian favorites lifted from the menus of New York style Chinese restaurants. The ingredients should be readily available to the majority of home cooks, and the recipes themselves are easy to follow. True to the series name, this book gives cooks exposure to all things familiarly Chinese cuisine. Nice mix of recipes for the beginning cook to the experienced one. I found a lot of dishes I love to order out and always wanted to try making myself. Best part for me was the dips and sauces, I have always struggled to get those to taste right and here are all the secrets.

I can't wait to try the recipes! I love Chinese good but it is so expensive to get take out and do much salt filled at the store so cannot wait to try these recipes for my family at home! These recipes look so yummy and a lot more budget conscious that restaurant ones. I can't wait to try the recipes!
