Khady went through a real life horror story - polygamy, death, female genital mutilation, forced marriage, rape, early consecutive pregnancies, domestic violence, humiliation and so on. You ought to admire people who go through that kind of trauma and are still able to see the bright side of things and actually make something of themselves, helping other in the process. Recommended.

I read this book in one sitting and I can not express enough how important this book is. I admire Khady for standing up for every woman's right but also for standing up for herself.

WOW.....Unbelievable how stupid and cruel men can be. And how blind can be women to accept it in a name of religion or loyalty. I really hope this will belong to the past soon. Great book...

    Definitely worth the read.

A real life story about how the women are mutilated in parts of Africa. And how they have to live with it. It's sadly still happening today but they are fighting to stop it.

Only read this book when you are feeling strong. Uncut Voices publishes against female genital mutilation. This is a true story and the unspeakable and pain suffering is hard to read but important to know.
